@@PlanetEscalators This is the One Summit Vanderblit which is like 9 m/s, and the world trade center in new york is 10 m/s, which is nearly the same speed as Ping An Finance Center in Shenzhen, China.
@@PlanetEscalators You have seen some other elevators out there in Asia have reached 10 m/s and the world trade center in New York has also reached 10 m/s, and that is really crazy, I hope that you can see those in Asia as well, and you can see more of these kinds of skyscrapers in Shenzhen, China as well.
Shanghai Tower's elevator does 18m/s (Heard it can go to 22m/s even) and Rosewood Guangzhou's elevators can do 20m/s though its operational speed from 1st floor to lobby (95F) is 10m/s.
These elevators are really fast which does skip a lot of floors, but it does go up to the 91st and 92nd floor so crazy, but they are really incredible that it did or did not show the “EZ” appearing on the indicator.
Yeah it’s because for the express zone it doesn’t show “EZ” in the indicator it just goes straight from 1 floor to another. A lot of elevators do that actually & ThyssenKrupp elevators do that almost all the time.
Personally my favorite observation deck. I remember asking the guy on 92 if I could take multiple rides but he said he could get fired if he let me do that. He did allow me to take it down alone though!
I’m aware of more than 6 elevators in the USA that travel 1800fpm. My work has 20 elevators that travel 1800fpm. Where did you get your statistic from?
Honestly it wasn’t really a confirmed statistic. I just said 6 because I’ve only heard of 6 but I’m more than aware that there are probably lots of buildings in NY that are 1800. The ones I’ve seen on YT are John Hancock, Bank Of America Atlanta, Stratosphere LV, Wilshire Grand LA, World Trade Center skylobby, & these.
@@PlanetEscalators there are several buildings in the World Trade Center complex that are 1800, and more than just the sky lobby (bank g) at 1 world trade ctr goes 1800.
Don't the One World Observatory elevators go 2000fpm (~10.16m/s; underground - 102)? Do these count or does this only account for elevators that only go 1800fpm (~9.12m/s)?
@@hilo2-est3-elev I have no idea lol tbh I don’t know shit about keys and fire service or anything like that. I tried to get in the offices and I couldn’t get in the lobby. I recently found out tho that there’s a new Amex lounge and bar on 55 and u can sign up for it even without an Amex card.

These elevators are insane which go like at around 9 m/s which is incredibly fast, and its by far the fastest ever in New York I believe!

is it some security messure they have
These elevator s speed has been maxed out
So fancy and futuristic! Wish it would’ve been the MT indicator or an LCD screen instead of a boring ACME
Yeah agreed. It sucks that they even decided to go with the MT indicator on the shuttle elevator from 91-93 but not here.
Great Job! Keep it up!
Thanks
I wish they speed up the elevators at Quantum on the Bay and at Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
