In reality the gravipull would squish the hell out of you at the ascend and at the descend the gravipull would be 0. But that is just an elevator with 2 videos and random sound. recording.
Awesome simulation! Those imagineers at Disney and such parks are awesome. The only thing thats off is the space station is floating and not in orbit, unless the space elevator cable is only available momentarily as the station is overhead (called a "beanstalk" or sky hook). But in this case the station is basically floating 150 miles or so up. Imaginary but cool. The journey up and down is clearly hypersonic, and once clear of the high clouds over Florida you can hear the wind noise against the capsule fading away from max Q to exiting the thin air of the upper atmosphere. So cool.
Wouldnt that be called "geosynchronous orbit"? IE, some satellites can remain in orbit over an exact spot on earth as long as they are orbiting at exactly the right speed and altitude- because the earth spins.
@@ApolloVR6 yeah but those typically, at least as i understand, fall in a pretty narrow band around the equator, and the distance is much greater than low earth orbit. Not sure if florida is a good candidate, and the distance would be alot further

Yup, it's way too short to be a 220 mile ride upward, and the Earth as seen below is way too small in surface area. That said, this is the first time I've ever seen a space elevator simulation, and it blew my mind.

Questions: 1. How is the wifi signal in that type of environment? Is there any at all? 2. How does this withstand against environmental conditions, heavy rain, earthquakes, etc. ? 3. How much would it cost to get in a place like that and what’s the capacity to enter the “stellarvator” and the environment up there? 4. What is ventilation like in an air tight environment like that? Is vaccination required to enter that space?

My family and I ate at this resturant when we went to Disney World about a month ago, and when you're in the elevator you do not feel it rise or descend. The only thing you feel are very realistic vibrations when you "take off", "land at the resturant" and then "come back down to Earth."
@@veronicashowalter30 You don't feel any sense of rising or defending in the elevator. The only thing you feel are realistic vibrations when you take off and land at the resturant.
Many years ago in India our engineers made a similar simulator spaceship theater that takes us to the Sun..it’s in energy park of Kolkata...only the graphics vfx were of a bit low quality and I hope It's improved by now
First of all, the upper viewport shows the elevator moving before the hatch is completely open, so they need to work on the timing for that. Second, the first thing we see when we enter the orbiting space station, is an emergency exit. Are we supposed to believe you can walk out, while we're miles above the earth? That's like opening the door of an airplane while it's in flight, and you're not there to skydive with a parachute!

The ISS has a ground speed of 17,700mph to maintain it's orbit at an altitude of 250 miles. Anything less than a geosynchronous orbit requires a large ground speed to not lose altitude. A GS orbit is HIGH at 25,000miles above the surface. A space elevator would have to be 25,000 miles long to reach the station in orbit which isn't moving relative to the surface. Our high school science classes are failing us.
