- In this video, Pete goes on the ultimate pasty tour of Falmouth, Cornwall, tasting Cornish pasties from seven pasty shops around town. At the end, Pete and his parents have a blind tasting of the top four Cornish pasties. Which will be the favorite?
Thanks to Rowe’s, Choak’s, Proper Pasties, Ann’s Pasties (at The Picnic), The Dog and Smuggler, and Oggie’s for all having GREAT pasties. :)

I fell in love with pasties when I was stationed in Cornwall back in the 80s.
😋
Made me hungry!! Go Pete!
This was a blast!
Ha! Glad you enjoyed! One of our worst performing videos but one of the most fun to film. 😂
dog ands smuggler yep been there i thought that was a chip shop
I love this so much! Great job!
RIP Choaks!
😢
but i would test from other towns ive never seen so many pasty shops in falmouth
What a Job, Look's like your son would make a good Taster.
Absolutely! 😋 Thanks for watching!
Gear Farm pasties hard to beat!!!!!😅
the dog and smuggler get their pasties from pips i believe
Ah, good to know!
rowes taste of butter i like mcfaddens and philps
Wonder if a lot of Paties are made by one company and sold to different shops?
Interesting! Maybe!
I know Rowes have made pasties for other companies in the past, not sure if they do now. They used to be good, they were hand made in the shops that morning. Now just made in bulk in a large factory on the outskirts of Falmouth
i bet he lives on the helford river where all the other rich live
What about Blewets?
❤️🇲🇦❤️🙏👏🤜🤛☘️💪
Mashaallah subhaanallah your son is beautiful..

I’m biased towards one family brand 😜
Whoa! A real life Rowe! 😯
I was eating Rowes pasties before you were born. My school was next door to the pasty factory. Rowes were good then, but now they’re rubbish. I find the majority of Cornish pasties are very mediocre although Brays &Ks in Redruth are consistently good. I find I eat a pasty once every five years.
too hot, too cold, he sounds like Goldilocks
Just an opinionated Cornish person. ;)
The drama is they worked together and went there separate ways .
Great insight!! Thanks
What’s you’re go to place?
@@StephandPete well I loved a Choak pasty but unfortunately Charlie Choak retired so NO more pasties I have one left in my freezer for an emergency 🥲 ! Anyway Charlie’s father Henry and Mr Rowes started together in the old bakery on the back of Albert cottages near to the observation tower . But went there separate ways I think because of the pastry??
@@StephandPete so go to places are St Agnes pasty or Philp’s pasty’s in Hale it’s really hard to replace a Choak pasty indeed I do home made pasties with thin pastry and they are great . But it’s the time it takes but to be honest the homemade are probably the best replacement . 👍🏻😎 loved your little TH-cam video and it inspired me to make pasties today
pasty were not a cornish invention there are some in different countries even russia
no one says swede they say turnip
Swede and turnip aren’t the same thing mate
@@Smoneey yes they are
@@jasperedwards2713 No, they’re not. Turnips are Brassica rapa rapa, while swedes are Brassica napus and the product of hybridisation with cabbages. Not the same species, you’d be better off arguing turnips and bok choy are the same thing.
