    Brilliant video, I've just bought my XF so I'm having a good trawl around . I have gone one step further though. I bought a set of cables and latches off a well know auction site as a punt, £35 quid and an hours faf and I have proper folding rear seat too, result!

      Nice, I heard about those but didn't realise they were so cheap. Glad you could fit them ok. Enjoy your XF!

      @@CGITutorials The latches and cables are handed, the latches I took out were not. I would think you could possibly just buy a pair of cables and turn one of the latches upside down to orient it to connect the cable.

    Thank you so much, now I’ll be able to fit my snowboard into the back instead of scratching up the front seat more!

    THIS IS ACTUALLY INCORRECT. I USED THIS VIDEO TO OPEN IT THE FIRST TIME BUT THERE ACTUALLY ARE TWO YELLOW BUTTONS THAT YOU PULL FROM THE BACK OF THE BOOT. I'LL SHARE A LINM TO A SHORT VIDEO I UPLOADED ABOUT IT

    But I have a fault with Jaguar XF boot and cannot open it so how do I remove the rear seats ?

  • @dondadda5944

    Splendid video. i've already converted my XF to 60/40 split by attaching cable/robe to the seat actuators. I have to pull them from inside of the boot to drop the rear seats and leave them lying inside. not pretty but effective. Can you tell me the part number of the lining that goes onto the back of the rear seats ( from inside of the boot). thinking about selling and just want the lining back on. The orginal went missing when we had the extention done

    Hi, is this doable on the second generation XF as well? Base trim didn't have standard fold down rear seats.

    Hi
    Is there any way I can fold the seats from the cabin to access the boot? My boot won't open. The lock makes just a 'grrr' sound and the hard key also doesn't work. 😕
    Thank you

    • @CGITutorials
      @CGITutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really sorry to hear that. Unfortunately not to my knowledge, the rear parcel shelf is placed over metal chassis, the bottom of the seat backs are bolted down and even if you could undo those, the latch that I access from inside the boot would probably have to be forced broken to get in there. Very worrying that the hard key does not work!
      Good luck!

    Thats a really good video youve made there. Im on my 2nd XF now which does come with latches to release the rear seat to fold down. However my previous XF never had them and I could never figure out where the hidden latches might be. Now I know its useful knowledge. So thanks for that. Just one more thing, the floor of your boot particularly towards the back was rather dirty amd filthy if you dont mind me saying so. I think you could have given it a vacuum before you did the video. But apart from that its a most useful video. Many thanks.

      Thank you, and yes I have indeed brought dishonour to jag drivers with the state of the car in this video! It was filmed during a house move/clearance and I was so thrilled about my finding that I had to film it right away. I have since tried to improve the quality of my productions in my later jag videos!
