Nah probably not only crit based dmg dealers. She'd come back for sure when there is another character similar to Dan heng who gets yoked up using a lot of sp. This could be a nihil unit where more sp = more debuffs + damage. A abundance or preservation converting it for damage Amp or a DPS of similar vein to Dan Heng.
overworld exploration with acheron is one hit kill-no battle needed, makes farming so quick, no one compares.
Yeah I regret starting the game now (i took 2 major breaks) i have kafka, dr ratio, sparkle in my account. I was in break during the rest of the banners.

@@rire6226 Not really. She's awesome though. He's talking about Overworld Farming. Acheron is the BEST EASILY. But Overworld farming isn't important or very valuable really.
Could be the only reason to get Acheron yet she is the strongest still.
Sparkle, Ruan Mei and Aventurine are huge upgrades for any account.
Sry only Ruan Mei and Aventurine and definitely not sparkle. Sparkle position can already be filled by Bronya and there's only Dhil who p hungry DPS while FuA DPS prefer robin and there's 2 op break DPS Boothill and Firefly prefer Ruan Mei. So there's no room or use for Sparkle. If you got sp issues than just manage your SP usage or just use SP positive units.

The commenter said Sparkle, Aventurine and Ruan Mei are huge "upgrades" for their accounts. Then you come in saying that Sparkle's position can be filled with Bronya and that it's only Ruan Mei and Aventurine which are must pulls, so another person says what positions Sparkle fills in that Bronya can't do as good if not just being worse ( e.g, DHil or QQ teams even with E1S1 Bronya ).
And you say why not saying Boothill or Jingliu who prefers Bronya over Sparkles? Simple, it's because you said Bronya can just fill in Sparkles position, so the commenter said the characters where Bronya can't fill in Sparkles position. As simple as that, it took me ten seconds to both read and understand what the response meant.
You can't control what's factual and what's not. Aventurine, is not a must pull, he's replaced by Gepard or Fu Xuan. Ruan Mei, is the only true must pull, but even then, she's just a upgrade and is not BiS in every situation

Definitely sparkle will become the third choice. Remember there's reason s why sparkle not becoming t0 like both Ruan Mei and Aventurine. Oh I already read your COPE comment defending sparkle but her usage rate not as high as Ruan Mei even Robin as harmony in the team. I have never seen anyone regret summoning Ruan Mei or Aventurine. That's alone kinda proofs that Sparkle is NOT A MUST summons. Just watch Iyo, he literally makes a video about must summons unit in hsr but sparkle is not even mentioned there.
i saved for dan heng when he came out and it was the best decision of my life, he just allows you to do so much and with spqrkle he really gives a lot of value to an account and just lets you force your way through practically any content
same here I got into the game because of DHIL lol. Started at the beginning of DHIL's first banner, and grinded 170 tickets (lost 50-50 first) within 21 days in order to get him before his banner left lmao
Jingliu is fine, it's just she there's not a lot of Ice weak enemies right now.
That thing dps now have way to overcome that ff weakness implant and acheron ukt ignores weakness

implant weakness ≠ reduce Res.
The implant is just to allow breaking it, Even if you implant aventurine Imaginary weakness. It will still have 40% Res.
So firefly against an non original fire weak enemy it's the same as Jingliu brute forcing it.( Ignoring the fact that broken enemies receive increased damage but lol you get the point)
no regrets on my account... luocha, jing yuan, blade, jingliu.. every single one of these carried me through the game or kept me alive for quite some time..

not their fault that i saved tons of jades for acheron and dropped an extra 60€ to E2S1 her..
maybe their time to shine will come back one day and if not i am ok with them enjoying their well deserved retirement...
I completely agree. 0 regrets for my account and the pulls. Because they either come in clutch for that one particular endgame content, or just wacky fun for SU.
They all got their uses, even if there are "strictly better" options 😅
Funny thing is i started same time as you nubs, i went a completely different route, saved everything for e2s1 acheron and sparkle e0s1, then went for ruan mei, and e2 firefly, also got aventurine e0 for my acheron. I purposefully planned out to pull hard for 2 op teams that i dont have to change again for a few months and plan to go heavy into their eidolons on reeruns. I think HSR is a game that heavily rewards hyper investment into like 2 main teams rather than casual investment into many teams! Love your work here and in Raid, and sorry for your loss my friend.

I didn’t have a lightning DPS when I started and I didn’t know much about Jing Yuan or Acheron. I did know however that Hoyo will spoil every version of Mei. I was not wrong.
I had a hard choice between Acheron or Aventurine. I ended up choosing Aventurine. Best decision I've made, cause he's been my go-to man since I pulled him. He literally helped me so much ever since 8n clearing much challenging content. I can't help but love this man

Account lvl is 70, i can manage second to last endagme content (Hall of Memories, Pure Fiction, New game mode the name I can't remember) at 3* easily and max with some tinkering
Characters are at mostly skill 8, Yangqing an Welt are not leveled, Firefly needs to level her skills and relics.
I really enjoy the game, the gacha aspect seems so generous compared to Genshin (i have so many 5* drops before hitting soft pity), or Fate/Go which i came from. I love the characters and story, Gameplay is fun and brings me back to FFX times, it hits just right

From Sparkle to Aventurine, it was hella painful for my wallet. Sparkle was the result of my gambling addiction (I didn't want JY or DHIL as a DPS), but lately I don't regret her. Everyone up to Aventurine went to soft pity, even the lost 50/50s. And I had to miss out Jingliu's rerun because I don't want to spend anymore.
@@yumeng4686can I ask why you prefer MotP on Ruan Mei and her sig on IMC? I feel like I see this a lot, is it cuz MC ults more often for the skill points?

as a 1.0 player, fu xuan was the reason on why I completed the MOC for the first time, but starting star rail at 2.0 makes sense if getting fx is not a game changer. love this video tho!
Even Acheron players are not pulling for Jiaoqiu at this point, the poor guy is dead after all the nerfs he went through during beta... RIP
Lingsha might even be better since she's a debuff abundance for break
I mean he’s still BIS support for Acheron lol, it’s just that he is not a super big improvement compared to the other nihility supports currently in the game. He still provides more stacks for Acheron than any other character though and provides very consistent debuffs.
@@johnnymullen5884 the point is that the improvement he provides is not enough to justify the stellar jades you need to invest to get him
@@johnnymullen5884he's looking more DoT focused to me, and a problem I anticipate with him is that his debuff applies on enemy actions so the crimson knot stacks won't be consolidated but we'll see on release. I'd love to have a 5 star fire DoT character but I'm on guarantee and also really want Feixiao, so it's a tough call and "wait and see" for me currently

Swan is pretty tough to build and start with - she was my first 5* along with Ratio - but she's so worth it. She's by far my most played character, and rarely leaves my main run around team.

Skipped Blackswan, big regret, will pull her on rerun. I just didn't understand the game back then and wanted to save as many tickets as possible for Acheron.
Got : Acheron, Aventurine, Jingliu, Robin, Topaz, Ruan Mei. I love all of them.
Fair list for your personal reasons. As an account that's about 6 months old. (Started in 1.8 at Ruan Mei's banner), there's not many units I've come to really regret as I tried to work up my two primary teams. (It recently became completed with Firefly.) I think the closest however leans to leaning too quick to DoT, since I leaning into ele coverage with a Kafka pull. It's become a lot less used. Meanwhile, the Acheron/Firefly team sets pretty much have me set for endgame content.
Beyond this banner, I think I'll be more comfortably prepared to look for luxury compared to anything else. I'm not sure which 'team time' I'd like, since I'm not really a huge fan of the crit dmg hypercarry builds at all. (Acheron is the sole exception of someone I really wanted to build up. Even then, needs a lot less prem supports.)
So far I've really been enjoying my Star Rail journey.
Yeah I feel like I'm reaching the luxury stage too where max rewards is doable with the characters I have and I can pull stuff that's cool or expands my options 👌
It is very interesting to hear a new player perspective on their regrets on pulling or not pulling. On some I have to agree cuz I have the same feeling but if there is one thing I regret the most is not pulling boothill and going on for Firefly because I love boothill more than her

I skipped sparkle for aventurine and it was SO worth it. I just end up finishing my battles without taking damage. After around a month of using him Gepard feels so horrible compared to Aventurine. The only regret i have on my account is not pulling Acheron cause my only dps is Dr Ratio, Clara and DHIL

I started playing at the sparkle banner, and qq sparkle was great. got lucky with acheron e2 and her with sparkle and pela is amazing.

It feels very comforting to share so many opinions about the characters with you lol, i skipped acheron and firefly cause of the reasons you mentioned and i dont really think i regret it. I also absolutely love Aventurine and stick him in every possible team i can cause he's just so fun to play
i have the same thing with Firefly, was kinda disappointed with how her character turned out considering how overhyped in the community she was. Not a fan of nice girl next door characters personally. Boothill who came out of nowhere in the story had my attention more with his silly gimmics and fun persona. Want some more characters who can be just fun in the main story like this.
100% this, but in my case, i love her in the story, but i was one of the few that until the reveal thought that SAM and her were two diferent characters, so i was specting more of sam rather than FF in battle, i was looking for something like her boss battle move set, everything on fire and brutal.
But in my words, we got a magical girl with a mecha instead of a brutal mechanical warrior having to unclock "gears" to get strong, dont get me wrong i like their personality but, if you see in the trailers, until "they fuse" Sam had like one personality and FF another and the mecha feeling is somewhat lost.
And not only the looks of the kit, the gameplay is extremly boring, is worst than acheron in terms of "fun".
But hey thats the plot of her, she was "sam" until she decided to be FF, so her moveset changed.
Its sad because i love mecha with "unlocking new gears" kinda stuff/transformations and overclocking, but the first one was Svarog and he is like a support, helping Clara and FF is more like a magical girl vibe, and (UNLESS they do something spectacular for screwllum) He will feel more like a Android than a Mecha/Robot so F.
Same, I found Firefly quite boring and even annoying at times.

this is me but with Jade. She just....... there. even didnt appear in this patch i wont feel something Missing, The impact of her Presence kinda different when Kafka Around. Boothill same as Argenti, they showup out of nowhere but since they kinda ct funny they leave mark in my memories. Since im sucker for Armored Suit Firefly def my Fav so far. for her Character Spesific, yes the ending of Pennacony is feel like forced to have they together in the end. But the PoV from outsider how MC act is also kinda funny, i dont mind the pairing tho but i wish they made it more Natural since its cute.
Nubs, so I’m the sad one with 2 level 70 accounts and I can say Ruan Mei is the only character I have pulled on both accounts plus her LC. Use her with Jing Yuan/Tingyun, she will help his performance significantly.

Here i am wanting Sparkle for pure fiction stage 4. She enables Xueyi to attack more often with her skills.
i started during robin banner, i pulled for robin, boothill, fu xuan, firefly and ruan mei so far. Kinda regret boothill but he did help me and when another decent break support comes out i can have 2 crazy break teams so thats alright. Currently i struggle in pure fiction a lot (no himeko and my herta is very weak) so i will pull for jade, but after that i'll skip banners for like 3 months lol
I started the game at the same banner as you and in my account I have DHIL (my first promotional, because... Dragon explosions go boom XD), Sparkle, Acheron + LC, Aventurine + LC, Robin, Fu Xuan, Firefly and Ruan Mei + LC. And, the only character I regret a little bit pulling for is Fu Xuan, but I think is because now I use so much more Gallagher in my break team (thanks to pulling for both Ruan Mei and Firefly I got him E6)... I hope i can get her more value in the future.
23:51 So uh... according to leaks, HuoHuo, the beat 5* Abundance unit, is rerunning next patch alongside Yunli so it would be a great time to get her since she has the benefit of being a Pseudo Harmony unit with an ATK Buff and Energy on ult.
Lingsha is speculated to be an abundance unit as well due in next few patches so I might save for her instead 👌

I need to say, i agree a lot with your take on"we need a new mode were even Destruction characters struggle with the ammount of enemies" because right now Destruction is king and even Hunt with boothill is (Lets be real the guy 1 shots eveything) but eruditions feel like they really fit only into PF and even there other roles can do their job (I probably could be mistaken but i heard that they removed the 5 units limit from the game, so this probably means something)
BUT like MOC they are doing the mode more and more hard, so my theory is that they are letting us prepare for the future and there will be some point were if you dont have a few eruditions the 4º stage is really hard.
This is somewhat off topic, but i like that ^ There is few things that i hate more than having 1 team that can do everything and dont having the need to change/improve ever.
Funny thing with black swan is her dot stays even after she dies theres been times in sim universe were only my healer was alive and swans dot was enough to carry the fight
As a black swan player, it's so convenient that her arcana stays even after she dies since there's times where her DOT will deal the last damage needed to kill the boss in MOC
I got Fu Xuan during her rerun because MoC can be dangerous on both sides. Also Mono Quantum is still pretty hilarious
It seems that you've picked a specific favourite play style, hence, you haven't tried catering specifically for hypercary.
Sparkle is very strong with any DD that doesn't have to wear boots. Moreover, E2 Acheron gets a lot of variability with the possibility to be with 2 nihility characters, or with a nihility and a harmony. Acheron is fun in that sense as she can play with any debuffing characters. Even with dots like kafka-black swan.
Tbh, I haven't used much sparkle either, but when it comes to it, I feel like she provides a lot of benefits.
And Luocha... He was my most used character in 2023. I have him E3, just super (un)Lucky with his pulls. I just hope we get a set that buffs depending on the amount of heal. As the strongest healer, he will benefit the most.
I don't know why, but I wasn't really inspired by Sam. Really cool looking. Maybe, use him when feeling lazy.

Sparkle was a big doubt, but I love harmony and nihility,so let them be 😂
I'd not pull for so many characters, but I'm easily impressed (fooled),😢 but I'm happy sometimes I have some alternatives to my main teams
Cannot recommend enough Fu Xuan. She is just easy to build and versatile.
i just started playing towards the end of firefly/ruan mei banner and Ive come to realize I started at a great time. Ruan Mei, Firefly team is CARRYING me so hard rn 4 weeks into the game
We started at the same time and I love sparkle so much she's probably one of my most used units TwT
I love her with Clara or Ratio.
Clara is like my secret weapon (she's e2 now from some 5050 losses), anytime I'm struggling with a side of something I stick Clara on it and I'm gucci 99% of the time.... she's got room to grow too, I'm at 75/120 CV
I've never had any regrets on HSR, every single unit I pulled fulfilled the roll I wanted them for.
Silverwolf helped me breakthrough early content easily by bypassing weaknesses in the enemy.
Luocha and Fu Xuan still help to keep my team alive in tough stages
HuoHuo is a replacement in teams I don't really want Fu Xuan nor Luocha. Her heals and cleansea are great, and her energy restoration can be clutch.
Ruan Mei, I don't need to explain, she busted.
Then comes the first DPS I pulled for, Acheron, who is my favorite unit other than Silverwolf. Got her E1, and got the Lightcone. Farming is a lot more comfy and faster now. And I for sure will try to get E2 once her rerun comes. With her I managed to go farther on MOC and other challenging content.
After that I got Jingliu, to have a DPS with Ice coverage
And Firefly to have a DPS with Fire coverage. And Break synergy.
Now I'm aiming to get Sparkle for mono quantum and crit based teams.
I started playing again on 19 June (played a little bit during 1.0 - 1.2 so I had Himeko, Clara, Seele and Jing Yuan, though I was only TL30), and I have to admit that the two 2.3 banners gave me a preposterously good team right off the rip (Firefly, Ruan Mei, HMC, and Gallagher). I had also logged in briefly at the tail end of 2.2 and picked up Fu Xuan. I'm not F2P, but not an absurdly high spender either. Between the tons of free pulls that I earned by clearing the absolute mountains of backlog content (you get so much Stellar Jade by clearing 2 years of content) and then spending like $150 on those banners over the last month, I've had the ability to do quite a lot of rolls. Had some absurdly great luck though, so I ended up with E2S1 Firefly and E2S1 Ruan Mei (lost only one 50/50, got a double Ruan Mei roll to bring me to E2, and got early pulls several times to help me along including 17 and 24 pulls respectively on both of the Lightcones). And now I just got Jade to supplement my Pure Fiction lineups with Himeko and/or Herta.
My only "built" characters are Firefly, HMC, Gallagher, Ruan Mei and sort of Fu Xuan. Relics are far from perfect, but are at least on correct sets with correct Main Stats for the most part. Jing Yuan, Himeko, Herta, Tingyun and Asta are partially built, though they have to share Relics somewhat, aren't at all on correct sets, don't always have optimal main stats, aren't fully leveled and definitely are not anywhere near optimal. Jade is starting to get built now as well. Still, I have been able to clear a significant portion of Simulated/Divergent Universe. Yesterday used my barely built Himeko/Herta/Jade paired with my 5 more built units to get up through Pure Fiction 4 with 2 Stars (I think better manual control might even be able to get me the 3 star clear) (teams were Herta/Firefly/HMC/Gallagher and Jade/Himeko/Ruan Mei/Fu Xuan). I had cleared through Apocalyptic Shadow 2 a couple weeks ago when all my characters were still Lvl 70 and my Relics were even worse than they are now, and think I could probably go further with the progression I've made in the last 2 weeks. I'll give it a shot again soon once I figure out what I want my second team to be. Haven't really bothered too much with MoC as my second team is just in a rough place. I have managed to get through a decent amount of Forgotten Hall, though I haven't actually focused on MoC yet. I am sure I could clear through at least part of MoC, but it's not been a priority.
I'm probably skipping both of the 2.4 characters as "Improved Clara (Yunli)" and "5* Guinaifen (Jiaoqiu)" are not currently pressing needs on my account. There may be a possible rerun that catches my interest (Huohuo in particular, as I think I need another strong Debuff Cleanser/Sustain). I'll have to make a decision on 2.5 since rumor is Lingsha is a "5* Gallagher". Gallagher is already super strong, so not sure that I need that, but taking the Firefly team to yet another level is perhaps tempting. In terms of other reruns and new characters, I think a DOT team is probably my biggest gap, so I'll be keeping an eye on that. Acheron is probably a pull whenever she reruns. Aventurine and Topaz may be tempting because I got Jade, but Topaz is a harder sell unless I decide to go for E1 Jade (which I doubt unless the Lightcone banner blesses me again)
No regrets on my account currently.
Got Topaz in 20 pulls. Ruan Mei and Firefly were the ones i grinded for. My wishlist now has Feixiao, Adventurine and Robin left. Once those 3 are acquired I'll either wait for the next broken dps or get a team based on Sparkle and Dragon Heng.
If you wanted to do Sparkle with Jade, you'd want to team them with something like a Herta or Qingque(I mention these as you'd have those unless you explicitly didn't do the part of the game to get at least one copy of them) as the primary DPS on the team that Jade and Sparkle both focus their stuff on.

I started at the beggining of FF banner and pulled her and her team and she is indeed a beast for a new player but now I realize 1 team does nothing for endgame in this game 😂 Gonna probably wait and pick a second main dps as well as building herta/himeko. May wanna hold pulls for acheron as I do like her character and well... seems broken too, altho I don't have pela or any nihility for her
I would happen to agree with you.
Acheron and Kafka are pretty high priority picks for the future of your account. Black swan is so good with Kafka, and Acheron already has a sustain with an Aventurine or even Gallagher so your FuA team can use the former.
If you do decide to omega save or become a whale, E2S1 Acheron opens up your sparkle to her which is insane.

I started on Huohuo's banner and so far i have:
Ruan Mei
Acheron E0S1
Aventurine E0S1
Boothill
Firefly E1S0
And so far I thankfully had no regrets with any of my characters, I'm aiming to get Black Swan and Kafka (and *maybe* Huohuo on 2.4) because DoT seems so fun and it will allow me to clear different content (like DoT pure fiction), not to mention it's a different playstyle than crit and break (which is easily my favorite so far), I hope this won't be my first regret
Yeah it's been rough for sparkle the past few banners, I've been building my qingque since launch and now she's one of my strongest dps so putting her with sparkle was a no brainer and it makes for alot of fun, same goes for anyone who pulled dhil.
Outside of this comp however she doesn't get much play from me, acheron needs nigility units, break teams need Ruan mei and bronya over sparkle (e1 bronya also helps) and yunli looks to be another character who while more functional with sparkle, will prefer tingyun and Robin.
Maybe feixiao will be better for her, she sounds like she might scale with crit and break but again it's another break unit so Ruan mei will probably be preferred alongside HMC.
We really aren't in a crit meta anymore like we were from 1.0 to 2.0, but I imagine once more crit based characters release she'll begin to _sparkle_ a little more brightly
Played since release! I've got a lot of characters and the whole Sparkle problem of being exclusively used in hypercarry comps has happened to me in the form of Bronya. I have S1 and E1 Bronya so her skill point problem isn't really an issue but I haven't been using her a lot and that boils down to the newer niches not requiring my main hypercarry dps (Dan Heng IL). I've been thinking about what to save for in future patches and I definitely want to save for Robin and her Lightcone but I couldn't get Sparkle on her first run so I've been debating in my head if I still want to get her considering I don't use Dan Heng IL a lot anymore in favor of using Acheron/Firefly/Premium DOT
It's funny, I feel the same way in most of your opinions, with some slight differences.
I started playing a couple days after 2.0 began, only because people whining on twitter about Sparkle ignited my interest on her.
-Got Black Swan, and with her Lil Gui E4. Both haven't left my main team. I understand how they can be slow starters in most game modes, but watching those procs pop is something else, specially in SU after getting the Nihility cards and watch Arcana reach 50 stacks.
-Skipped IL.
-Got Sparkle after losing her 50/50 to Yanqing, worst day of my life. Also agree on your statement. I only use her when farming, because most of my friends' support list has carries like Jingliu, Jing Yuan and a busted Xueyi, but for main content I don't have any unit that could make full use of her, tho I made sure to fully build her, because she's my favorite character in the game.
-Skipped Ying Yuan.
-Got Acheron. She's been pretty difficult to get going, mainly because I didn't pull for her LC and only have GNSW E1, but the fact that there's not much units that catch my attention makes me want to invest in her more, hopefully get her to E2S1 so I can make full use of Sparkle.
-Skipped Luocha. At this point Natasha was working overtime as my only sustain.
-Got Aventurine. My first early in just 10 pulls. He's the reason I was able to finish Swarm and Gold. Love him. Probably the best thing that can happen to anyone's account, fits in every team.
-Skipped Jingliu. I actually regret this a little. I tried to make Yanqing functional, because I have no other ice units, but he's extremely lackluster even with shields to avoid his passive getting interrupted.
-Got Robin. She's an amazing buffer and I love her involvement in the main story.
-Skipped Topaz. I made a vow to not pull for IPC related characters, because I hate the IPC. And maybe you're thinking, but you pulled for Aventurine. Yeah, but the dude also seems to hate them and is plotting to take Diamond down, and I respect that.
-Skipped Boothill.
-Got Fu Xuan. A lot of people told me to skip her, because she was getting behind in the meta. Not a single regret, I like her character and she has made my recent attempts in MoC much more comfortable.
-Skipped Firefly. Right now I'm not that interested in the break meta, and it really hurts me, because SAM was probably on my list of "must pulls" when I first saw him in one of Kafka's trailers.
-Got Ruan Mei. And her LC. Everyone and their mother will tell you she's the only must pull character in the game, and they're right. She just does so many things for so little it's kind of unfair. Hopefully in the future we get more supports for nihility.
-I'll skip both Jade and Argenti. First one for the reason above and her character seems pretty boring. Argenti because at this point I'm 15 pulls close to 300 and I will be getting Himeko no matter what, so my erudition units will be covered for a while.
I kinda regret Sparkle since none of my dps are hypercarry like Dan Heng IL or Seele. I regret skipping Robin and will go for her next rerun.

1. With rumors of Black Swan rerunning in 2.4, I wouldn't be surprised if a Kafka rerun is coming up. So maybe save for that.
2. Dan Heng IL is great, but since you have Dr. Ratio he definitely offers less value. But he also goes very well with Sparkle.
3. As a Jing Yuan lover, I'm really hoping a future character will buff both my Jing Yuan/Dan Heng IL/Sparkle teams. I also hope that Dan Heng IL will get a relic buff of some kind.
4. Sparkle works pretty well with Jade, I'd say. Jade does well with ATK buffs, so if you have Jade, Sparkle, Lynx/Fu Xuan, and another DPS, it should be great for Jade's damage. But personally I'd stay away from Jade unless you plan to get her E1 to make her viable in all content.
5. Feixiao sounds like she will have a summon, but is more of a FUA character. Likely an alternate for Dr. Ratio in a FUA team.
6. Topaz is great, and I feel like she's going to age like a fine wine. Very glad I went E1S1 with her.
7. Yunli is just stronger Clara, but you need to manually play her to get the most out of her. Jiaoqiu looks like he'll be a solid DOT support if you decide to continue investing in DOT, but you already have Ruan Mei, so probably not worth it for you unless your Ruan Mei is spoken for with a Break team.
My pulls were insane in the game, i started playing when Black Swan/DanHeng banner was live and from there i got both Dan Heng and Black Swan, Sparkle, Acheron and her lightcone, Aventurine, Robin, Boothill, Ruan Mei and Firefly and i have 1 more day to get Jade (im 72 pity in no guaranteed)
Having all the characters there are definitely some I "regret" pulling
Argenti- Only gets play on pure fiction for me otherwise he's perma benched
Jing Yuan- The first 5 I got but to me his lightning lord is too slow and able to be stopped if jing yuan is CC'd
Firefly- I know I'll get hate for this one but for me she's not very fun. I like being able to use weird and "off meta" teams but firefly is soooo tied to ruan mei and HMC to do damage that playing FF without at least one of those two is almost not viable at all, despite having a relic and planar set completely tailored to her.
ppl just simp too hard for FF... dont get me wrong... shes busted AF, really strong with the TEAM, but althouthg fun is subjetive, i dont find her fun either, and ill get even more hate than u because i really dont like her battle animations.... and the fact that i dont even need to specify what TEAM i meant.. says alot... theres only one... BUT shes freaking strong... but not fun
im sorry but i use my argenti and jingyuan in moc, and theyre clearing atleast until moc 10
well thats the way star rail is going. The two point updates are full of niche characters because thats the route they want. 4 Stars might be enough for story contents but the late game demands you to pull 5 stars. Thus their generosity with jades is balanced by the gameplay. Late game contents can't be tackled with 4 stars, that alone should tell you what hoyo is doing

I haven't regret anyone so far. Although I was a bit sad that my Sparkle (e1s0) wasn't used as much for awhile until Jiaoqiu was revealed. Eventually Acheron (mine is e2s1) will get her bis nihility support, which will be him. I can do -1 spd Sparkle even though it will only give 1.5 more turns but her skill buffing Acheron's ult outside of her turn is really neat. Eventually I'll get her sig when she reruns. Plus Jiaoqiu is gonna make Acheron better in pf mode.
This also allows both my Bronya and Pela to finally be on my Jingliu team which is great. Def shred and Bronya fixing her downtime will make my Jingliu play better. Ruan Mei is occupied on my Firefly team. I mostly use Jingliu whenever there's contents that are weak to ice.
As much as i hate how high invesment jingyuan is, he's been helping me (i feel like cuz there's a lot of lightning weaknes recently). I forced to skip sparkle but now i have robin and i don't think i really need her anymore. I regret skipping robin lc, the energy managment is really hard without the lc.
also it isn't a regret but it's annoying that you need either e1 or s1 topaz to work well with ratio and that's currently the best ratio team. So i decided to not pull topaz at all and wait for better ratio partners.
sparcle has casino-girl in her banner, so this combo carry a ton of content for me :)
I was late for acheron banner, planning skip and wait her rerun,, getting bailu from novice banner and free ratio helped through story until penacony 2.0, end up pulling aven in his last minute banner, now having full premium Follow up team e1s1 topaz, e1 robin, e0 ratio and aven, i thought i can sit on this team and wait acheron rerun, but FF banner is so tempting then end up pulling E0 FF + E0RM + E6 gall and xueyi, now i have the 2nd team (both team not fully build yet while fua only decent), i need to hold the urge to pull character until acheron rerun 😅, but i have feeling I will pull Harmonies units cuz support is the team enabler in this game i think
Im purely f2p and started at luocha's banner and then quitted for 2 month to return on jingliu's banner. Tbh I never regret getting luocha or jingliu bcs without them I wouldn't be here rn (finishing all the endgame contents)
And then here I am with only ruan mei E1 and her lightcone
I started playing at the end of Fu Xuan's banner. I have Fu Xuan, E3 Clara, Bronya and Yanqing. I'm guaranteed Sparkle :> I pulled for Ruan Mei and I'm actually glad I didn't get her. I like Sparkle more
i started in the sparkle banner and got acheron aventurine and robin, now my concern is a character to put in acheron's team because running guinaifen is a pain tbh

Blade is the only 5 star I regret pulling. I just pulled him because I got relics ready for him from farming the cavern for the speed set Even now he still gets better relics and he is still sh*t. He does not excel at anything, does sh*tty dmg. Gallagher has done more damage than he ever did. Sure he can clear contents but he is way below mid and is not worth investing in or pulling for even.
Need a ton of sup to make him strong . Use him in a bronya + sparkle team and i can say he kick ass but he need too many thing to make him good for sure .... he still carry me in moc sometime !
i dont know how to state my enjoyment of this game. i have 4 accounts but only really use 2. usually what i do with hoyo games is my first account is just figuring out the game. i end up just leaving those accounts with no plan to improve them. the second account is for trying to be more serious but ultimately generally leave it too. i usually stop at 3rd account which was my acheron account and i did love it but it was incredibly unlucky. almost every pull went to mid 80s and i lost 50/50 for acheron and then lost the 75% chance to get her light cone. in total spent around 330 pulls or so just for e0 acheron and s1 lightcone. decided to make a new account for firefly and the exact opposite luck happened. in like 100 pulls got e2 firefly and e1 ruan mei. havent pulled for any lightcones. i also now have e0 jade after like 40 or 50 more pulls. this account is cracked and i love it. i currently am trying to build my second team up and i know i want herta himeko and jade i just dont know who to add for support/sustain.

I have high hopes for my E1 Sparkle with the new wind hunt character coming out. I want to boost her to E2.
Wow my playtime same as urs ( 5 months) I got black swan cause she is hot .d then I lost sparkle to bronya, later I got acheron ( she is op with black swan), then I lost robin and I got her after 30 pulls but I regret pulling robin she is good unit but mostly used on FUA, later I dont have presevantion unit ( I wish I pulled aventurine) I got fx too in same patch, then I got ff and rm, but I was shocked I got e1 ff after 33 pulls so rn I got 4 50/50 win streak ( fx, ff,rm,ff)
Edit: I regret pulling robin( mosty), black swan maybe a little bit but she works well with acheron tho, and instead of fx I wish I got aventurine
I started since release and truthfully i don’t really have any regrets with the characters i choose to pull! Because i all planned them according to design, skills, and how i like the characters. Although some i don’t use as much as before they did carry me for quite awhile before they got their well deserved break
My teams are actually heavily invested and really well built so that i dont need to frequently pull on dps characters and focus on other paths (unless i really like a new dps character)
My limited characters:
E0S1 Seele - got her at 3 pity at her debut banner and she put in work thats why i went for her lc too she carried me really hard (still does from time to time)
E0 Silverworf - This gal is a really good sup-dps/debuffer unit because of the implant and massive debuffs/def shred although she’s a single unit i still slot her in too this day to force brute certain battles
E0Luocha - comfy healer and very sp positive his emergency is a clutch i still use him
E2S1Danheng il - danheng is literally my fav character in the game and express so i went hard on pulling for him! My danheng personally carries me through a lot of content up this date he’s really well built (might e6 him tbh) he’s my main limited dps
E0S1 Sparkles - literally carries my danheng and made him more op with the advance turn and more sp along with massive crit dmg boost
E0Ruan mei - i skipped her at her first banner but then pulled her just recently in her rerun and she really is a good universal support she has everything and can be put anywhere tbh
E0Aventurine - got him really early pity i wanted him but truthfully i was gonna skip bc i wanted fu xuan but yk i did a 10pull for the lols didn’t expect him to come home. Solid tank! He’s sp positive and he also provides some dmg + that effect res on shield is a life saver for enemies that can apply a lot of debuffs.
E2S0 firefly - truthfully i really needed a new dps and seele is having trouble with other content (my danheng il carries the other half) wont lie i wanted boothill but i wanted to get ruan mei first! So after getting ruan mei first i went for her instead she’s doing wonders for my team as she is really invested break team with e6hmc and e6gallagher her implant and breaking capabilities are nasty along with her dmg and tankiness . Wasnt sold on her the first time but i really liked her character the more i got into penacony quest and thats why i decided to get her (got really lucky on her since it only took me 98pulls for her 3copies of her my best patch fr W ruan mei and e2ff)
There are other character that i want such as:
Robin - after thinking and looking at my team i liked her yeah but i wont get much value of her will probably get her on rerun
Kafka and Blackswan - these 2 im still thinking because they need each other to really pull of big dmg and i wanna get into dot but will depend on future charas so im not totally sold on getting them
I have no issues clearing difficult content except pure fiction! I usually can only 1-2 star the last stage but its probably because i dont have a dedicated team for it! So i plan on building my herta and himeko for it!
As for the future characters im pulling currently im interested in lingsha’s lc as an upgrade for my gallagher (won’t be sure if ill pull her tho depends on her kit) and im waiting for sunday! So the next patch is a total skip for me aswell as the one after that (except for lingsha lc)
Most of my 4 stars are also e6 and i have most of the standard characters as-well as the free ratio. But i think i might need to pull another dps though just for comfort and as a safety net for danheng il
Other than the endgame stuff, the game is pretty easy so I’ve made it a point to avoid meta and roll who I like , avoid characters with good kits that I hate. Learning from my regret rolls in Genshin lmao
Ok here's my thoughts I started my game when Kafka was in the banner, I didn't really have regrets of not pulling just regrets of trying to pull and getting 50/50 and I'm looking at you Aventurine! You are supposed to be LUCKY!

Tried Black Swan but failed so I got Sparkle instead which helped DHIL and QQ
I got Acheron!
and her Lightcone!
I got Fu Xuan Rerun to replace Aventurine
I got Boothill which helped with my Break Team
I got Ruan Mei Rerun!
I got Firefly because I love Mecha's

I don’t regret many, maybe Black Swan. I never use her, also Luocha. I own HuoHuo & Adventurine. The ones I don’t regret at all are Acheron, Sparkle & Adventurine. I use them 98% of the time
The only character I regret is Blade. He’s so cool, but his damage is underwhelming for a limited character.
The only character I wish I had is Sparkle. I lost my 50/50 to her. She’s so cool and her gameplay looks nice. I would definitely play her with Acheron even if it takes out a nihility unit because I have Acheron’lc (so she could ult more often)

Fu Xuan makes your entire team effectively unkillable and prevents one-shot kills unlike Abundance units. She has carried my account for a very long time and is only really rivaled by Aventurine. I would argue that Fu Xuan's debuff prevention is a bit more reliable as well since Aventurine's is still only 50%. She works on any and every team, especially with the passive Crit Rate buff she gives the squad. She's definitely a future-proofed unit.
She is pretty much your all around tank. She is not a must have in any team but you can use her pretty much anywhere , thats really good for new player that doesn't have a lot of choice !
Regret pulling:
• DHIL - Accidentally won the 50/50 on him while building pity like an absolute 🤡.
• Seele (rerun) - Same scenario with DHIL.
Regret skipping:
• Huohuo - Mainly because I already have Luocha and Fu Xuan, and didn't really need another sustain, but I might pick her up on her next, next rerun because she's an insane battery unit, and I dont have pulls left currently.
• Black Swan - I only regret skipping her because I wasn't really looking to build DoT... until I won Kafka's 50/50 on her rerun on her last day, and I don't have any pulls left saved for her.
• Topaz & Numby - Only because I have Dr. Ratio, and will probably pull for her only when I finally feel like building a FuA team.
No regrets pulling:
• Luocha - My first Limited 5-Star character. Safest sustain to use beside Fu Xuan.
• E2S1 Blade - My second Limited 5-Star character. He carried my account, and still do occasionally.
• Ruan Mei - Was initially skeptical with her value, but she aged like fine wine.
• Firefly - Best girl.
No regrets skipping:
• Aventurine - I don't like his character, even if his kit is stupid broken.
• Silver Wolf - I don't even know if I'd ever go for her reruns. 😂
• Robin, Jade, & Yunli - I don't see myself building a FuA team anytime soon.
My biggest and only regret is my E2 Robin I managed to get trying to e6 Xueyi just for her to be on Firefly banner whom I had saved over 100 pulls for. Don't ask how I managed to pull e2 Robin, a Bronya, and Bailu in approximately 90 pulls and still managed to not get e6 xueyi

I've been using Sparkle with an E0 Acheron and it works fine. In fact, that's my team 1 when I cleared Apocaltyptic Shadow (Acheron, Sparkle, 1 debuffer, 1 sustain)
I thought E0 Acheron badly wants a 2nd nihility because of her trace?
@@Sable813 It's not that big of a difference since Acheron is already stacking tons of DMG bonus, you're basically replacing the 45% damage bonus with Sparkle's team ATK passive, Crit Dmg Bonus and DMG bonus. I've been using this comp since her release and it works fine.
@@Sable813 1 Nihility + Sparkle comes really close DMG-wise to Acheron's 2 nihility trace. While Sparkle is a must have with Acheron's E2.

My least used and most hyped was Sparkle. She is great overall but i picked her for my FUA team. Other characters like Topaz would have been better. Also Fu Xuan, over hyped. Imo, Aventurine is better. He throws up shields like crazy. In hard content Fu Xuan takes a beating, my whole team loses health or she gets one shotted. Plus Aventurine has effect resist to the whole team. He is top tier. But Acheron, best decision ever!
I only regret Blade, Seele got me through most of the content. Blade ended up falling off so hard that i wish i had went Kafka.
This will invoke war but I cringe everytime my Firefly lets out her high pitch shrieking voice during ult. I wish she has an option to turn turn on the SAM voice changer.
Maybe its because I mainly use Dotcheron mommy team and Jingliu Hypercarry.
your take on PF seems a bit weird, as it is THE game mode for erodishen, i can not think of a more perfect mode for the aoe characters, then clearing large waves of mobs. Hunt is the one without a clear mode, as Forgotten Hall still has you deal with a first wave followed by 2 bosses that often summon adds, this is the perfect destruction mode (altho destruction is also nice for PF just not as good as erodishen.) i rly hope that we get a massive 1 boss mode at some point to rly let lose the hunt path, the new mode seemed like it at first, but both fights have you deal with so many adds that not clearing them via aoe feels like pulling teeth
To me if u didnt pull acheron, aventurine, boothill, firefly, and ruan mei u down horrendous rn imo

The only character that i benched is jingyuan. However im the type to build and use all characters but hes probably a bit late on the list
Man my luck is crap all I get is light cones even on the 50/50 or guaranteed I get 5 star light cones and I don't even have the characters to use them on lol of the 220 pulls I have like 2 5 star character and like five 5 star light cones 😅

jade is a BROKEN UNIT > especially if u get her 64% crit dmg on body and >80% crit rate with LIGHT CONES + sub stats + crit dmg . and u do not need to go for E6 either >

If that one team you build is superbreak (Firefly + ruan mei)
Then
Either wait for acheron rerun for acheron team
Or
Get blackswan, huohuo and kafka for dot team.
If u choose acheron, then might start building your pela and welt (if u already have him)
Also you can think about new meta characters coming like yunli (she is for counter meta) alonside free March 7th we will get.
If u like yunli get her and make counter meta team.
Otherwise it is rumored that upcoming character feixiao will be very strong character.
She will be heck powerful so i think you should look into her as well.
Lastly, this all is useless if u dont have sustain so get aventurine at his rerun at any cost. He is 5 star limites sheilder and he has immense sheilding capacity. He is very much needed for harder contents like gg , sd and as.

@@Klutch1774 Jade is purely designed for pure fiction. E0 Jade is Trash in MoC or AS. If you need a Character only for this Gamemode then maybe go for her but a Firefly Team can also do pretty Well on one side and Tingyun+Herta on the other while both of them are completely free.

Qq is free she's an excellent dps that works extremely well with sparkle she was also on her banner
And her advance forward and DMG bonus and skill points are still great for dot teams there is better options but sparkle is definitely better than 4* supports for dot teams she's very strong no matter what I think you're kinda overreacting on sparkle because she's also jingyuans best support

Honestly as much your not enthusiatic about firefly i would really roll a 50/50 on her before she leaves banner for a few reasons
if you loose 50/50 hey you've got garentee for the next character that your really enthusiastic aboutlike that yunli you mentioned
you have her complete BIS meta team so you dont need to pick up anymore units to run her and she uses the most F2P lightcone from Herta
having a really strong meta character feels liberating because you know that you can pick up your favorites and your account it fine longterm
