To clarify: When adjusting the BHAV a few more things might need to be done. Node 4 needs to contain the largest number you used in the BCON table. Here 66 days (but in hex, so 42). Node 5 contains the ID of that last BCON line, here 44 (in hex 2C). In my SimPe is a small crossed-hammer/wrench-button on the lower right-hand side that helps to convert decimal to hex numbers when you click on it. A convenient way to enter the decimal(normal) number. And node 2 and node 6 contain the lowest number of days you set. Here 22. So, no changes needed. This is important, otherwise an incorrect line in the BCON will be read from. E.g, you are 24 days old, so line 3 contains the fertility for 24 days. 24 days minus 22(number in node 6) equals 3 (aka BCON line 3).
I thank you! I’ve not seen any other source detail much else ( although information on it is slightly difficult to find). I’m going to head into SimPE and tamper with my old settings. If you don’t mind, I’m going to pin your comment so that others can see it immediately as well!
@@juliusma4880I wrote this as a reply to another comment, but here is the answer to your question. If you want your Sims to be fertile for more than 127 days, then you will need to add a line to the BHAV. Click on any of the lines that say Expression, and over on the right click the button labelled Add. A new line will be added to the bottom of the BHAV. Select it, and click on the hammer and spanner (🛠️) button on the right. In the top drop down menu, select Temp and in the box next to it put in 0x2. Set the next drop down menu to :=, and the one below that to Literal and type in whatever your highest line number is in your pregnancy odds BCON. Then, on line 5, open the hammer and spanner icon again. Change the bottom drop down menu from Const to Const [temp] and after the : type in [Temp 2]. Now you just need to make sure your new line gets used. On line 4, change the True Target (on the right) to 0x9 (the line you added) and on your new line change both the true and false targets to 0x5. You can now commit and save the file, and it should work. All this is needed for fertility durations longer than 127 days because simAntics only uses an 8 bit number to reference into BCONs, but if you use a variable you can use the full 16 bits of that variable. It does mean adding a lot of lines to the BCON though. A more substantial edit would allow referencing the same line for many days.
Oh my goodness! I was so happy when I saw this on the Pleasantsims discord. I have been wanting to change my lifespan for so long but never did because I could never figure out how to tune ACR’s fertility properly. (I tried reading a document on how to fix it but it never worked for me.) Thank you so much for this tutorial!
You’re so welcome! I completely understand; it was such a letdown knowing that ACR and longer lifespans don’t play well together. I read up about editing ACR from the very few sources available, and it still took me awhile to get it right! I hope this works for you, and thanks for watching! :)
This worked out PERFECTLY for me. I also follow PleasantSims' aging system (1 day = 1 year) so I just skipped to the 'TRCN - Tuning - Casual Romance - Pregnancy' section. Made the fertile years run from 16-59. Checked to make sure the final value matched in 'Tokens - Sub - Calculate Pregnancy Odds'. Saved all the changes. Went back into the game. Loaded up Brandi Broke (now Dreamer), she is currently 43 years old. Checked her 'Token Stats', ACR now recognizes her as being 43, with a Try Baby % of 18. (Base Odds is 30%). Yay - thank you for video, it was very helpful! 😁😁
Really great and informative video! Although I do have a question if it's okay? I am using the 1 day = 1 year lifespan that Cindy from Pleasantsims uses and I was wondering how would I edit ACR to adjust to Pleasantsims' lifespan? Thank you!
Hi, and thank you!!! Since it would be 1 day = 1 year, you would have to adjust it so that ACR only operates through the ages you want it to. Depending on when you’d like ACR to begin, you may not have to change the number of days it originally functions for, just the ages. Since ordinary ACR begins at 22 days and ends at 65, if you’d like to change it to begin at 16 and end at 59, you could completely bypass the very first segment of the video and instead head to TRCN - Tuning - Casual Romance - Pregnancy. Once there, change the very first line of =59 for the final line by using the Label function on the left hand side of the screen. Now, I’m unsure if you would even need to follow through with the rest of the tutorial, since you did not add or delete days, however I would still jot down that last line and head over to BHAV - Tokens - Calculate Pregnancy Odds to make sure that the final line is reflected on lines 0x4 and 0x5. And I think that’s it! Make sure to save the file before you close down SimPE and you should be good to go! I hope this was helpful. If you have any more questions, be sure to let me know!
Is there a way to edit so alien sims in the hood can have kids with either gender to match the pollination technicians (who work on both genders in my hood) using the custom alien tokens?
Hey! This is a super helpful tutorial thanks so much. I’m just really confused what you mean toward the end when you say jot down the last number I really don’t know what last number you mean? If you could help that would be great, thanks!
No problem! What I mean by that is to write down the final value that shows up in the bottom left-hand side of the chart when you're in Tuning - Casual Romance - Pregnancy. For me, it was 0x2c ( 4:32 ) but for you, it will most probably be a different value. You will need this value to be reflected on lines 0x4 and 0x5 when you head over to the BHAV. So whatever that final value for you is ( it shows up in the BCON and should as well in the TRCN ), you'll erase whatever is in the third operands box on lines 4 and 5 and replace it with yours. For me, it was 2c. I hope I explained it a little better! Good luck, and if you have any more questions, be sure to let me know!
my adult lifespan is 60 days so i added the labels needed to reach that far and the last day iv but a %2 fertility but in game its giving %2 to my adults from 18 days till elder but in simpe 18 days till elder is set at %30 does anyone know why?
Something happened where my sim kept woohooing with her husband and even when I tried to stop them they would keep woohoing and the social worker took away the baby. They kept woohooing. Thanks ACR. I had to divorce the couples because they kept woohooing
Wow, I've never heard of that happening before. It sounds like something went wrong with the timer; maybe a controller was stuck. I'm sorry that happened to your sims. :/ I'm going to look around and see if I can find a fix for that. Is it happening with any of your other sims, or just that couple specifically?
@@keobooks Nope, three bolts definitely wouldn't be a problem. That sounds like the controller became stuck, for whatever reason. If ever it happens again, try to force errors on the sims/ lot or use the lot debugger to unstick objects to see if that corrects the issue. I'd also suggest getting the Hack Conflict Detector, if you don't have it, to make sure nothing is potentially conflicting with the controllers in ACR. I'm definitely going to take a look around and see if anyone else has had that problem, and what they did to correct it. Hopefully this doesn't happen again!
Hello, and no problem! You’ll need to change the values to whatever days you want ACR to affect. So if you want ACR to start on the first day of adulthood with whatever aging mod you have, then change it to that day. Then go down each line, advancing it by one value, then stop at whatever age you want it to stop affecting your sims. So if your sims hit adulthood on day 44 and elder stage at 78, those are the new values that you’ll need to change the old values to. If there aren’t enough values in the original ACR to edit, you’ll have to add extra lines. Or if there are too many values, you’ll have to delete them. Of course, you could just delete them all and start fresh; whatever is easiest for you. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions!
Hello! Sorry for the late response! You only need to input the ages that ACR affects. Just be sure to add the greater than/ less than symbols to the start and end ages, and you should be fine. :) Also, be sure to check the pinned comment to ensure your edit functions properly. :)
Hi. I m following this step by step but I am still having problems with the pregnancy odds. I suspect it is because i want to set the starting odds to a later age. if i do that should I change anything else during step 3?
Are you referencing BHAV - Tokens - Sub - Calculate Pregnancy Odds? This final step will always remain in the same format, but you will need to use your own BCON's/ TRCN's final line in the operands boxes ( it most probably will not be 0x2c for you, as mine was ). For me, it was 0x2c, so when I got to the final step, I had to erase what was in the third operands box in both lines 4 and 5 to 2c. Line 4 then shows up as Literal 0x002c while line 5 shows up as Const 0x1004:0x2c to reflect the final line in our previous steps. Also, in the description box, there are two references - one explains in-depth how the mod works and the other has written instructions, including one with an edit quite different than I show in the video - you may want to check out. I hope this was helpful! If you have any other questions, be sure to let me know and I'll do my best to help out!

@@tophfan What is your percentage set to in-game? I do believe the percentage it’s set to in-game goes off of whatever percentage you’ve set it to in SimPE. So if it’s at 70% in simPE and 20% in-game, then it’ll just be 20% of 70%, which should make the base risky odds end up at around 1,400 chances out of 10,000.
