I just did this, and it worked for me. My printer stopped printing Cyan right in the middle of a print job, even when the cartridge was not empty. No matter what self-cleaning I did via the printer itself (app or otherwise), it did not fix the problem. So I assume there was a clog. I watched this video, bought the recommended cleaning kit, and ran 40 ml through my Cyan nozzle as demonstrated in the video. I did it twice (20 ml x 2) just to be safe. After putting everything back together, the printer worked perfectly. So I can say it worked for me and I would recommend this effort before you decide to scrap your printer and get a new one (unless you really want a new one). Thanks for the video and the resolution to my problem. :)
This works but you can use warm water and a touch of dishsoap that cuts grease. Don't waste your money on a kit. A syringe works great but you don't need the tube on the end. Just flush until it's clear. You should change out the paper towel a few times.
I did exactly this, and its fixed my printer. I must have tried level 1, 2, 3 clean about 5 times. wasted alot of ink. Tried this and its unblocked straight away.
Thank you so much for making this video. I didn't have time to go to the shops, so got a syringe and used soap and water, fixed the problem. The syringe fit straight onto the nozzle inside the printer, just push it in gently. For those whose printers stopped working, maybe you put too much water into your printer. I just put about 5ml at a time and while I was at it, I emptied about 20ml per cartridge and my printer is back to perfect. Can't believe I was going to go out to buy a new printer.
Thanks for your help, It was the second video I watch and you gave me a happy feeling because all of your information a thorough and complete!!! great work my friend
Hi, I have an HP Officejet 6600 that won’t use any magenta ink. I watched your video, and it was great; however, after reassembling I got error code 0x61011bed. Any suggestions on fixing it?
Excellent, if the printer has been setting a while without the ink cartridges installed I'm guessing the printhead is clogged with ink. The ink has dried and block the channels for the printhead. I'm guessing.....I used this cleaner and BOOM!, prints like new.
This worked the first time, a couple of months ago. Got the message again recently, bought the solution kit, no luck. :( Wondering if a new printer is in order.
I have a hp officejet 6700 premium that comes up with a message saying THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE PRINTER ORINK SYSTEM. TURN PRINTER OFF,THEN ON AGAIN IF PROBLEM PERSISTS,CONTACT HP. Can you give me any advised as I have tried what was suggested ! Thanks lennie Edinburgh Scotland
Best Printers - is this the remedy for error 0x61011bed error on my HP 6600? I've tried all the other recommendations and still can't print, not even a test page.
Just performed this service exactly. When I pressed power to turn on, it would not power up. I checked AC, unplugged for 5 min, tried the door many times etc etc, still nothing. Could a printer breaker have tripped when I held cartridge when powering off?? Any suggestions??
I enjoyed your video it was very helpful. I have a HP 6600 it probably needs to be replaced I bought it in 2012. My problem is when I print the thing that holds the cartridges goes to the right and get stuck with this loud noise. Any ideas.
I just got this product and followed video and directions that came with the product. still not working. big mess, money lost and still no working printer! help please
I just did this on my HP 6600 printer and now I'm just getting an error message for ink failure. I have restarted my printer a few times and it still has the same error message. Any advice??
My printer is HP officejet pro 6968. I know the initial problem is the print quality. I tried to print something again and now the printer cartrage don,t move to the left or center.
Hi, I watched your video and exactly described my problem. I own an HP OfficeJet 6600. My magenta and black colors wouldn't print. I went ahead and purchased a cleaning kit from amazon. I followed the steps accordingly the first time around and after printing a test page some progress was made, my magenta and cyan worked great but my yellow was partial and my black still had issues. I then took the same approach as directed but this time did it on my own. I might of put too much water into the print heads. Water is leaking from under the machine and with the ink cartridges inserted in place it reads there might be a problem with the ink cartridges asking me to power off and unplug, if problem persists contact HP for help. Do you have any advice? Have I broken my printer for good? is a matter or time before the water dries and works again? HELP! :-(
Issue resolved- I put the paper towel in the WRONG place! Took my time and cleaned up the mess. All is well and printing issue is RESOLVED!!!!!!! Thanks for the video
I went to go buy new ink for the HP 6700 premium printer I have. I have been printing test pages maybe 5x and now it says the cartridges are low besides the black that doesn’t print at all. Could the printer just be wasting the ink quickly?
Best Printers I have tried cleaning it first multiple times. Then I print a test page and the black does not show. So then I went to get new ink and it’s already out after trying to align. I got the solution and that did not help so I’m assuming it’s the printer head.
It did not work. After cleaning the red and yellow printheads and wiping everything down the printer would not turn back on. A waste of $25.00 that could have been put towards a new printer. Now I am certainly not going to spend $900 + on the recommended printer
That might work but instead of paying $34 and making a big mess you can spend no money by reading the user manual like me and it told me to go to setup then go to tools then go to CLEAN PRINTHEAD and ALIGN PRINTHEAD it didn't say to go and spend $34 on a cleaning kit so thanks for the help and saving 100s of dollars
I had all my inks refilled at costco, several months ago. I noticed the magenta cartridge was leaking. As of yesterday the magenta ran out and had a leak again. Any suggestions?
This is a joke. Just a salesman. And it's no wonder why his printer gets clogged... based on how he leans into the printer, how he opened the cartridge compartment, how he pulls the cartridges out. Such a classy man.

Thank you gor this great demo. I've watched two others. They didn't show the placement of the paper towel. Thanks again for showing this detail.

Worked like a charm!
Great!
How long do it leave the cleaning water before I try to print. Do I do a self cleaning to it before I test print?

I have never had that experience. Try a new power cable.
Is there anything else we can use instead of the solution just in case I need to fix it right now
hot water worked for me. just did it.
I think your pretty cool Brandon!
You can remove the print head, but it is best done by a technician. There are videos. NSF Office person.
Right

Ok let me go back in time 5 years and do that for you.

I see no reply after 4 Mo. poor customer service!
never put water in your electronics. rubbing alcohol is about the only "substitute" for these cleaning solutions.
I have injected the solution into all colors but the paper towel is dry. Should I repeat the process?

my printer says printhead not detected is their anything I can do HP6600
why not replace the printhead? its 40 bucks on ebay

How do l get one ink unstuck. Can't get it out.
Where is the printer recommendation?

In addition to the black not printing the printer will not complete an alignment.
Yes it’s possible but that usually happens after the cleaning. Have you attempted the cleaning?
Best Printers I have tried cleaning it first multiple times. Then I print a test page and the black does not show. So then I went to get new ink and it’s already out after trying to align. I got the solution and that did not help so I’m assuming it’s the printer head.
what if the cartrage is leaking and it wont print , does it leak because it's clogged?
why didn't you remove the printerhead?? Much cleaner to pull it out. leaver on right
You can’t remove the printhead on this model.
