Videos like this have been popping up on my feed today. I'm glad that they have. Besides this video, I have seen a carpenter who's employers bank refused to cash his check. Fifteen white employers from the same company had no problem. The Mayor of Mt. Vernon, NY had the police called on him while trying to deposit a large check. He had to go to court to get the full access to the accounts that he was entitled to as a mayor. I'm Canadian. I've been watching in horror as the protests have gone on over the last few weeks. You guys are lucky that these people haven't burned your entire country down by now with the way that you treat them. I say that those protesters have shown great restraint. . Unbelievable.

How do we know that you all even have accounts?" I told him "You have computers to verify all of our accounts but if you would like, my husband who is one of the main ministers can make an announcement tonight for all of us to come in tomorrow to close out all of our bank accounts nationwide." He quickly changed his mind and attitude.

I experienced racism at Chase as well. I went to reopen a account in a very racist town that I was living in, and was told that I could only have the liquid account. The previous one was closed because it was hacked twice. My sister and significant other called me in reference to money while in her office. She asked what I did for a living and I told her I owned a business as a small batch manufacturer. She allowed me to only open a liquid account and add funds. After I left the account was flagged. I tried to do a zelle to my sister for a rental car and I was told to go into the nearest branch and bring my proof of ID. That was done immediately. I still did not have access to my funds. I went into a branch in a major city the following day and tried to add more funds again and was denied. I spoke with a representative and they refused to talk to me and had me wait for someone on the phone. The lady informed the representative to refund my money and they did not want to do business with me. I'm not sure what the lady in Hammond, Louisiana put in the system. I asked why and was told "We just don't want to do business with you!" I don't know if they thought it was a drug deal or laundering (which is the vibes I was getting), but she just needed a damn rental car. Mind you I have a shopping cart set up through WePay which is a Chase product for my website. There is plenty proof of my occupation. I will never recommend Chase.

She looked at my ID and asked for another piece. I showed her two additional pieces. After displaying three pieces of current identification, she flat out refused to cash my check. She was pissed that I had the nerve to ask her why not? Yes, it was a white woman that wrote me the check. We met the following week and she paid me in cash.

Chilling, but a sad reality. The woman that wrote you the check should have met you at the bank, and demanded that her business transaction be processed. That is what she is paying them ( the Bank) to do right??

voz2voz She and I lived a little distance from each other. We met at a half way point and we did the exchange. I gave her her check back and she gave me the cash. If I was that Brotha, I would have moved my money out of Chase Bank and put in a Black one. Real talk!

A small business COO had the same problem. Chase bank denied me a business savings account. A veteran owned business. Shameful. I cannot afford a attorney to follow up. Welcome your input.

I feel that if I made as much money as you do and I was treated the way you were at Chase, I'd withdraw every damn dime and go to any where else and SUE if they didn't give me my 💰 ASP!!!

They needed to ask better questions. I'm sorry this happened to him and I wish they dove deeper into his responses. He is so wise and I admire the way he went about saving his money.
