Some uniques have locked Mags and Barrel.
yeah, i was going to comment about this myself. saw this in my feed. was like, "oh wow, perfect for my heavy character" (blow everything to hell, let Atom sort it later :D) then i heard about the CC stuff, and i got nervous. i run a rather archaic game build and i''m running the line on the mods i can run, so i'm very careful about requirements. i looked at the mod page, and it said no CC requirements, just DLC. so i tried the mod, works on my game. when the FOMOD popped up, i just installed the "loose files" option and it ran. like every other reviewer you just have to take everything with a little grain of salt. if you're interested in -any- mod, make sure you can run it, grab it -immediately-, and see if it's right for you....
This is the closest thing we'll get to the old school Gatling Laser, there is one on the nexus but it hadn't been ported to XBOX one, well there is buts its a stand alone and not in LL plus hope that changes. Also hope someone does a mod that adds the Plasma Caster as its one of my favorite engery weapons.
A plasma caster mod exists for fallout 4 There's 2 There both called P94 plasma caster One is The FNV plasma caster and one that is more inspired by the original from fallout 1&2

Energy weapon mods are indeed so hard to find: but once you find them, they're always a blast. This one will be a wonderful addition to my next load order.

Yea the reload animation is the vanilla flamer reload, just with different sound fx. That Ark unique probably uses some of the coding assets for the Assaultron head laser if the sound and look of it is any indication. Doom Bringer looks like the Doom games plasma rifle from the OG and Eternal

Yeah, I saw it a few days ago, but have yet to get it simply because I haven't updated yet (as I haven't needed to, and the update was garbage). It's a really neat weapon though, with a lot of cool customization options, that helps flesh out two somewhat underused weapon categories (heavy and energy). Also I just realized, but I'm pretty sure the continuous energy beam is the laser that Assaultrons use, which is pretty neat.
I dont use heavy weapons but if it in the level list ill sure want it to be in my game. Also the Doom Bringer is basically a Plasma Gun from Doom. I recognised it because I was sculpting a plasma gun based off the Doom plasma gun for some minis for warhammer 40k. And the front part of this gun is exactly that. Plus it is called the Doom Bringer! Love you videos man, I think I should get to reinstalling my game, since I stopped playing last year about this time, waiting for the next gen update. Since it broke everyones game I guess its safe to say we should play the downgraded version. Also I use a lot of your mods, and agree with your view on more classic looking weapons than swapping them with modern ones completely. Oh and level list integration of course! On a more serious note, can we talk about how delightfully crunchy the crack of the vanilla version is. Very nice sound design.

Why do Fallout 4 Energy Weapon Mods allways look like toys? I don't want to bash em, because people made them in their free time, but this gun, the Plasma Caster and many others look either like Super Soakers or Rayguns that would fit on a Gundam. It's just bizzare that there are no "old school" Energy Weapon Mods like for NV/3

In the video you say that this weapon requires CC content. But the mod page makes no mention of any requirements other than DLC ones anywhere on the page. In fact in the posts section there is a post thanking T6M for removing the CC content requirement. So which is true?
It used to have CC Requirement, took that out. I generally make my mods require the complete FO4 installation, including the DLCs and the free Creation Content, since people are supposed to have that -- apparently not.

The receiver as you call it for the heavy weapons is a Battery pack. Other games have the name for something that big, even Ghostbusters call it that.
This weapon is really good. Too good :D. At the level it starts spawning it completely destroyed any balance my survival playthrough had haha.

It doesn't. It's an existing in-game mechanic on the projectile called "Continuous Update". But it requires a specific mesh.

Not a good idea since the Institute is supposed to be disposable. If you do the early BoS quest, there's a ton of institute lasers out there.
