Love it! Projectors have really come a long way, thanks for the review Pat.
More projector reviews please!! I'm in the market to buy a new one 😁
It like it Pat mate a big WOW from me mate...
Great review. You covered many points I was wondering about. I decided on the x500i over the x300g because of the slightly higher advertised brightness and 4LED vs. 3LED on the x300g.
Also I'd imagine the x500i maintains a better quality image at 120" then the x300g does. But if pure portability and autofocus/keystone is better you, then I imagine the x300g is what you're after.
Agreed I think I'll go for the X500i. Plus I don't think we want something behind our seating area, so in front and everything you said it's a better option it seems. Essentially just a lower brightness X3100i without lens shift and slightly lower color, but probably not noticeable.
Would love to see a direct comparison in brightness between x300g and x500i. Rest x300g has better speakers, autofocus and 3d keystone.
@@justinbeamon6624 I've been hoping TheHookUp channel would make these comparisons. He has the equipment and makes really in depth reviews.

@@overnightdelivery from pcmag x500i review... Rainbow artifacts-the red/green/blue flashes that single-chip projectors are prone to showing-were both frequent and obvious enough in movies and video that those who see them easily, as I do, and are annoyed by them, might consider them a problem. If this is a potential issue for you, be sure to buy from a dealer who allows returns without a restocking fee, so you can test it out for yourself.
What RPG game was being played? Not Doom but the character with the sword?
Horizon zero dawn
You can't add a sonos sound bar and ps5/xbox to this.. they need extra hdmi earc
You go to sound bar via pass through in HDMI, thats the only way. Soundbar has to have pass through
Would you take a $2000 projector with you on holiday?
I mean I take similarity priced, laptop, iPhone already so…. In a box that’s secure (not on a plane) then yeah absolutely:)
@@TechManPat that's a good point. I think my only hesitation is i've had a laptop pushed off the sofa, and I've had a projector pushed off the coffee table. Only in one did the glass smash into a million bits. But i've never had one that cost $2000! Maybe that's the key!
