    Hey Khay. Did you ever experience imposter syndrome in your first year of teaching? If so, how did you overcome it?

    • @Khay_unfiltered
      @Khay_unfiltered  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey babe, quite honestly, I suffered from imposter syndrome when I first taught in the UAE. I can't point out specific things that helped me cope but I just took it a day at a time. Also reminded myself to celebrate my successes but I think most importantly, I shared how I felt with the people that I worked with. It's always a good idea to look for people who might be or might have gone through the same thing as you. For instance, I introduced myself to the first black women I met and she made it so much easier to cope.

    Facts about settling down in SA. I’m currently in Korea (I’ve been teaching here for two years) and I’m planning on moving to the UAE. What are the best cities or regions to work in and in your opinion, what’s a good salary for someone with fours years teaching experience in SA and two year’s internationally?

    • @Khay_unfiltered
      @Khay_unfiltered  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there, all the best with your move to the UAE. Most people prefer to work in big cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi so if you can, secure a job in one of these Emirates. I'm not quite sure what determines the salary you're offered, but expect anything from 12k aed to 16k aed excluding accommodation.
