- This is by far the best planet that I have found in my game of No Man's Sky. It has all the features that make it great, a lot of alien creatures to discover, water with ocean life and most importantly...Caves.
When I uploaded my initial planet, a lot of comments were that they hadn't found many planets like that, so I just wanted to show you this one because I enjoyed it so much. Not much to say here, so I just left you all with the footage as it played. Hope you enjoy it
The fact is, in reality the odds of other lush, beautiful planets with life like Earths are 1 in a million. Most people who play this game forget that most planets in the REAL universe would be desolate and lifeless, and look much the same. The game is actually similar to what our own universe would be to explore.
people are also saying our universe is a simulation.
I've been on maybe 100s of planets and a good 3/5 of them have been dead planets with nothing but Emiral farming or Gold.
Secretive Life Yep, take a look at the planets we know in our solar system...they are just barren and empty. My gripe is that this is meant to be a GAME, if you want a universe simulation just download Space Engine for free...it actually looks better too. The most beautiful planet I've encountered is made of ice with temperatures of -35 degrees Celsius. It's a strange planet of cat-like playful creatures and blizzard storms that drop in temperature to -77 degrees Celsius. But that's not the most amazing feature. It features MASSIVE bodies of liquid water teeming with all kinds of life; such as shark-like creatures and large schools of fish. I landed near a monolith during nighttime and ran to the edge of a cliff to look out upon the landscape and large body of water. The water extended to the horizon. It was the most beautiful thing I've seen in this game. :)

the best one i have seen (the only one that actually feels different from the repetitve ones)
was a "dead" world the only plants that could be seen are "cactus looking" most of them give a desert kinda feel when you look at them.
What i trough it was water , was actually sand when i landed.
There are lots of yellow "sand spiders" (how i named them)
and giant worms flying on the sky (reminded me of shadow of colossus with that worm flying around)
all centinels attack the moment they get close.
117° at all times , day and night.
317° on fire storms even with two coolers exosuit upgrades it makes me recharge it all the time. thanks to those cure centinels to give me titanium every few secs.
the best part was that most places in that planet have small gaps filled with toxic stuff , and right there is full of gravitino spheres.
got 5 millions in 30 min , but it is too risky with the elite centinel + fire storms + yellow spiders.
fun world to play actually.
named it "317 grados"
"317 grado". Grados is Italian for "degrees". So you named the planet "317 Degrees". Cool! Enjoyed reading about your world. :)
I love this game. Every day I find something amazing. Whole hours disappear with me just walking around taking in the beauty and fantastical environments. This game is a real achievement and I'm so glad Hello games finally made the game I've been waiting my whole life for.
Lots of hating and accusations flying around about this game... meanwhile here's a load of people quietly enjoying it in the spirit it was intended.

Excellent comment. I agree. I bought NMS Day 1 and I'm having fun despite the grind. No doubt the game could improve with DLC (that should have been original content).

Foundation proved that HG is aiming at the right direction. I always liked this game (always knew it would be a single player slow paced exploration game), but survival mode and building features just made it so much better! Nice planet, btw :)

Dude I love this game. I am tired of being harrassed when I play it on twitch or youtube. But I still play. I don't know why so many people get offended when some one plays this game. For a small indy game it's one of if not the best.
People hate this game because they expected more from it. Developers promised some cool things, but they rushed and didn't put all of them in the game when it was released. Yes, people are raging because they didn't put everything in the first version, which of course means they will never put it in game. (sarcasm)

That's because sony threatened to drop them unless they released the game, no matter how complete the game is. The game now has a basic multiplayer system(Players are a floating orb, but it's a step in the right direction). I think they wanted to have those features, but didn't have the time to because they were scared of what Sony would've done(They could've gone to Microsoft instead to be honest). But same, I love the game. They didn't lie, they said it was going to be in the game, but they didn't have time to.
And being the best planet you've found, it's still not even close to the ones we saw in the trailers

So disappointing. They should have at least made things like that a little easier to find. (If they can be found at all...)

I found the same thing on my planet, except mine are pink and they FLY
Mine were able to fly
Some of those were on my first planet but they were much smaller and allways attacked me when I was in the caves and they kept killing me
I once came across this huge monstrous fish like creature on a beautiful planet, with ociens so deep, I have some huge upgrades to my suit so no sentinal or beast can come close to killing me, and I have very long water breathing, 3x upgraded, I love exploring under water areas, specially the deeper ociens.
I'm so happy a lot of the planets are not like this so it would be such an achievement to find such a lush planet!
This game is kind of like the imaginary games that I played when I was a kid. It would appear and feel awesome. I would like just escaping into that universe. But, as I became more mature I learned the truth by logic, reasoning and concluded that it will be fantasy.

I've heard the closer you get to the center of the universe the more amazing planets will get.
Its the opposite, the closer you get to the center the more dangerous and hostile planets will be, although more resource rich. Its to match your better equipment.

there are different types of stars that have different planets. the generic yellow ones have crap planets most of the time. you have to upgrade your reactor core to visit the red, green, blue stars and get better planets and resources. if you just follow the atlas path it will only take you to yellow stars unless you upgrade your reactor

Theres plenty of resources, literally all of them that i need, lots of gold which im mining for cash right now and creatures galore. The planet itself has beautiful lakes, caves, underwater caves, blue flowery grass all over,high mountain tops and low grasslands and storms although it feels asthough you could live here without an exo suit even in its extreme storms
I haven't played this game, but if they patch in all the stuff that was promised, like basebuilding, it would be so fun to find the perfect place to build. Also, if they made multiplayer an actual thing, imagine people building huge cities on planets! That would be amazing.

I think adding multiplayer in an infinite universe will take a lot of time, as people need to be on the same server.

I have gone through well over 100 planets already and maybe 3 were as nice as the one you experienced. Like you, I kept on it for a while exploring every part of it I could and just taking in how gorgeous they were. Great video thanks for putting it up for us!
To complete the planets zoology, you probably forgot there are avian species. Did you ever look up?
The most common type of planet seems to be tropical, with coloured grass, lots of water, and palm tree thingies. The planet looks amazing, great video
i hope this game heads towards building civilizations, like Age of Empires..

As someone who... "acquired" the game via nontraditional methods... A lot of the planets are exceedingly boring copy-pasted colour swaps that get old almost immediately BUT. BUT.
I always love the Tropical worlds.
I love any lush world this game throws at me if only because it has more than one biome.

I just came back from watching all the original trailers and leaving so disappointed over how much was shown that isn't actually in the game. BUT planets like these are so amazing it makes me want to keep playing just to find them. I just wish they were slightly more common, but then again that makes the achievement that much more amazing.

The craziest thing I've found so far was a giant cow with dragonfly-wings. With its legs just dangling. That thing was CREEPY as heck... and it FOLLOWED me around! I will never look at cows the same way.

seeing a planet like this really makes me wanna get NMS but unfortunately this is quite rare.
my first planet was like this and if you don't ever find such a great planet there is always fun in deserts with a shit ton of resources, I highly recommend it
this is not rare. I landed on probably 200 planets and at least 10% of them were quite similar to this. Ive seen nearly all of these exact creatures on multiple other planets, and basically every cave (which are on every planet) in the game looks like the caves in this video.
Oh well clearly I'm wrong, I dont own the game but as far as I was informed it is rare to find these lush planets.
Michael Bennett yeah they tried to sell the game as if there was a mass of diversity but they didnt quite make that goal. Its not like every planet looks the same, but once youve been to 30 or 40 (so like maybe 5 hours in to the game if you arent really weird and decide to stay on your home planet for some reason), you dont see much variation any more.

I also found a planet similar to the one Stained J is mentioning. It is packed with flora, some fauna, temperatures that while chilly don't require shielding (don't recall there being any storms), lots of gold deposits, easy going sentinels, and some Chrysonite deposits.
I had my minecraft game in the background and heard a pig noise while I was playing and I was like wtf why does no mans sky have that sound effect? Then I was like oh haha

I haven't come across a planet with so much diversity, great find! That's the kind of planet that you spend hours on and I saw a decent amount of Emeril in the footage so you probably made a fortune there. I love how this game surprises you, I came across a "charred" planet and almost turned right around then off in the distance I saw some bouncing and it inhabited by cute little creatures that looked like bouncing potted plants and ended up spending a lot of time there.

I had one like that. A lot of fauna, great minerals, zero radiation or harsh weather and was a Vortex Cube gold mine. Made a couple millions farming in the planet.
I love this game so far.
The only thing I hate about this game is the lack of VR.

ArX1fY When i said "multiplayer" that's not mean you just add "player can see other players", that's half-baked multiplayer. What i mean is they also add sharing, making team, fighting, or raiding. With multiplayer there will be more possibilities for this game to grow

Ive easily been to 100+ planets(not all explored) and ive found out of that probably 80 rock planets 10 snowy planets 5 that are mainly water and 5 that actually look good like this lmao

Daakusutepsu1 To me they really are the best resource for making money. There's hundreds if not thousands of them in the caves, and the sentinels don't attack you every time you pick one up like with the pearls, sac venoms or gravitino balls.

KLFtrap M8 I guess the rates vary. I found another cube world today, this one has an even denser number of them. I find them in clusters of 5-6, whereas before it was mostly 2-3. Both planets were hot, dry planets, sort of like the Rocky Mountains with desert-like plants.

i had a planet that was full of albumen pearls... there were around 3-6 pearls every 100 cubic meters
+CTB I found one as well, I barely survived when I learnt that they give you a wanted lv 3. It was kind of a reddish wasteland planet with plenty of emeril as well. and Gek
+CTB the markups stay forever on that one system, I got really worried because I saw plutonium was marked up and there was a planet with a heap of plutonium but I didn't mine any because I thought it wouldn't be marked up anymore, silly me
MrBipson next time I find such a planet I'll check how well that combat sentinel handles grenades. I don't know any other way to reach a heat level above 2 without killing the party.
i just left one that had grav balls on the surface, calium, too. also had albumen in the caves and all craploads of iridium and zinc.
Yeah, I found one just like this one, but with no fauna (which I prefer), passive sentinels, very nice weather, no storms, lots of precious metals, pretty pink trees, it was just gorgeous overall. I didn't wanted to leave, I stood there almost a week and I felt bad when I left, and to this day I feel bad about leaving that system, it was the best system I ever found.
The best planet is the one I look at when I uninstall that game and go outside.

I found a tropical planet two days back, amazingly, it had already been discovered by another player. Last night, I discovered one similar, but not listed as tropical. The plant life is almost the same, but it rains most of the time and the temperature gets really low at night. Man...I can;t wait to dig into this game this weekend.

I found a planet that I aptly named "Don't Expect a Welcome Mat". The Sentinels there shoot on sight, there are are raging fire storms (ironic because the "normal" temperature is pleasantly in the 20's degree Celsius), predators and irritable herbivores, lack of land flora, large oceans, and NO occupied alien bases. On a pleasant note there do seem to be a good source of Gravitino balls there (I would hate to see how those Sentinels react to having one of their balls stolen as they are already very cranky).
this seems like an amazing game..I can tell you knowing about algorithms that if you keep playing this game it will evolve into something much better and larger ...so this could actually be something really amazing in long term...if the bugs get fixed and updates roll in, it could actually turn into a real cyber galaxy...AMAZING!
The best planet I have found was a gorgeous ice planet with endless snowy forests filled with a range of different creatures that weren't too out of the ordinary. If I ever find a planet like this I'm staying and completing the 'Naturalist' achievement.
Hello, I know the game has changed a lot now for the better, but I do miss the old aesthetic of the planets, so I come back to this video sometimes

I found a purple planet that was perfect, it had no weather, it was quiet and had no flora or fauna. Just beautiful
How have you been enjoying the mysterious story slowly and slowly revealing itself threw the monoliths and ancient artifacts. Really has me interesting in getting closer and closer to the center.
To be honest, I don't know why everytime someone critiques this game, they say that the trailer gave some decieving things like the "Sand Snake". I'm sure nobody gotten to every planet to make the assumption that the sand snake, or even the herbivore looking dinosaur is in the game. Mkst of the people who beat this game, (who cheated) complained that when you get to the center of the galaxy, it starts over. But your mission is to get to the center of the universe.
Beautiful planet... This is the ONLY game that surprises me when I watch a clip. You might be the ONLY player to ever document it & that sets this game apart from ANY OTHER

I've only found 1 good one so far. The solar system I spawned in first had 7 planets and 2 moons. I love the art style of this game
It was amazing man... it was the experience they told us... the loneliness... the first man in this planet...

Out of my 100 hours into the game of pure exploration, I have never found a planet anything near this, too bad we cant go to this one manually, just gotta be luck
My problem with no man's sky: If I fly into an ocean I better only see an ocean, I want to see land masses, and at least some not "the same looking landscape everywhere" kinda stuff... I dont want to step on a planet for 5 seconds and know exactly what it is like.
If every planet was like this, I dont think anyone would have a probleem with this game.
There's three things I miss in NMS to make it a really good game.
1. Multiplayer. And I know you want it as well.
2. An actual Story. Also, I know y'all wanted it.
3. Sand planets. I'd love to explore a sand planet (Jabba's palace easter egg?)
I think being the best planet means it also comes with a bunch of rare materials. exotic materials or sacs and cubes everywhere to farm

I've come across MANY planets like this one. For a while I was starting to wonder if any were barren. Then I went for days and they were all barren. But barren ones usually contain valuable items. Only seen one or two totally worthless ones so far - Loving the game! :)
The best planet I've found yet is actually my spawn planet. I named her Sigourney Weaver, she was a cold heartless bitch but she was stunningly beautiful, giant pillars and floating islands peppered the surface and she was covered with terrifying monsters, every now and then I'd run into a Rhino which was pretty awesome, all fauna was red , she was covered in fields of grass and trees and such, the creatures were interesting to look at. I instantly fell in love with the game thinking, "If this is the first planet I can't imagine what the next ones will look like." I named her, fixed my ship and eagerly flew up to go to the next planet, when I landed all I saw was a desert, I thought, "Just a fluke, it's probably rare to find a planet like this with nothing but minerals to mine, I could get rich off this planet." Then I flew to the next one, which was also a desert; and so was the next one, and the next... I haven't seen Sigourney Weaver in awhile, but I want to find her again so I can build a base on her.

People who think NMS is a failed multiplayer game where you must race to center will probably miss planets like this. I found 1 Blue grass planet and 3 green grass planets so far. They are still unique and differs in many ways. So far they all had animals but not water.
Hoping to find 1 with 25c-ish and water, lakes, rivers, oceans and waterfalls and forests and tons of animals. I would maybe even pay for such update / mod.
So far I've only found 2 planets with complex caves. I'm not sure if one of them was this one put it was also a tropical planet. The other one was a planet with acid rain and interesting life forms. It's times like these that really sadden me about the game as a whole. I see so much potential that was just squandered. I'm a concerned gamer, and I just experienced my 5th game crash.

I just found a planet like this one, it was beautiful. I named it Liara. After about 12 barren and bleak worlds in a row. Nice change.
there where 2 planets like that in my home planetary system and another amazing mining planet I was just amazed at how lucky I was

But anyway how are the controls? Are there any small annoying things about the game? And what is it like when YOU play the game?
+Chris Kul Wow! Thanks bro. There is only one thing that annoys me and that is you can't smash your ship onto a planet. The game makes it so that you always fly a certain distance from the ground until such time that you press the button to land. This means no diving through canyons, under floating islands or through holes that you could dig through mountains. This might be so that younger players don't crash too much. For me though, I want to crash if I flew too close, I want to fly less than a meter over the oceans and that would make me become better at flying. It's the only real thing that I would love them to change straight away. Maybe allow for players to chose whether they want the protective flying or not

There is a mod that removes the planetary flight limitations. Be warned, you will probably crash and severely damage your ship, so be careful!

The coolest planet I've seen was one close to this. Was on my first time through before I traded my good ship for a cool looking but broken one that left me stranded on that planet. Anyhoos looked a lot like this one.
I have only found every creature on 1 planet. When I first started playing I was just jumping around into different systems because I had no idea what I was doing. Most of my planets have either no creatures found or maybe just a couple.
that looks just like 1/3 of the planets I visited in my epic first 120 minutes of gameplay then uninstalled the game, no regrets.

I found one similar and named it Reach. That'll probably where I'll build my base when Hello Games adds the update.

you got me beat, I don't have any planets that can compete with this. I have found some very interesting planets which are beautiful in a stark, barren kind of way but nothing with as much life as this one.
I found such a nice planet just now. Tropical Bayou kind thing with giant flying creatures like you see in the trailers flying threw the sky. Grass is long and trippy and the T-rex kangaroo guys are the a largest creatures ive saw so far, and ive been to nearly 40 planets. I wish I could make a video so people could see it because it is so damn nice. Im blown away.

This actually looks like a game they showed us in the trailer. Apparently, they didn't lie THAT much.
I've found a few planets like that one, It's always nice. I also found a low-atmosphere planet that had gold literally all over the surface. I made over a million units before I left.
