Thank you so much for your input! It’s great to hear that. The unit got pretty good numbers at an amazing price I was just concerned about overall build quality… it’s great to hear you’re having good results
@ for the price I couldn’t complain build quality is cheep but it was also 70$ when i purchased its definitely out preforming my ryobi however it is nice that there’s a Home Depot in every corner 😭 just incase it does fail
Lots of Blue Monster tape for the leaks. I used a 3/4 NPT to 3/4 GHT adapter on the hose side, but I heard it it BSPP thread. I myself am surprised at the comments on my video overwhelming majority love it and many in detailing vans. No reports of a unit failing yet.
Yeah people are commenting the same here. My concern was quality control of the unit especially with the metal shavings in the gun… I thought if that could pass qc than other issues could be overlooked in the motor pump as well… but it’s did get pretty good numbers. I think my “total pass” comment may be off. I was frustrated by the components and the metal in the gun I think ha
@ 100% unknown brand putting out an induction motor sub $100 .. definitely reason for doubt, but for $70 why not lol. Looking forward to your new pressure washer line, congrats on the success!!
I purchased this unit and have it in my mobile van. It so far has been amazing with no issues whatever. I prefer the performance and noise far over the ryobi. It is an amazing unit in my opinion. As long as you know how to convert fittings and use teflon tape you wont have an issue
I’m glad to hear that! It does run nice and quiet compared to the ryobi! It’s just the overall build quality that concerns me, but that’s great to know it’s holding up for you! The Black Friday deal was amazing on this
@ i snagged it on the black friday deal and got the 2 year replacement plan. The build quality of the ryobi is far worse in my opinion. Everything from weight to quality of plastics and the cord thickness. Highly impressed with this little unit
I picked one up on the BF sale to keep in the RV for washing ATVs while on a trip. It is nice and light and compact. Once I used Teflon tape and a washer on the inlet I was good to go.
Thanks so much! I think I may have overspoke saying it’s a total pass. For me the quality of the components is the concern but the numbers were pretty good and many people have been. Commenting saying it’s holding up well for them!!
im so glad i jumped on this and bought right when Keav made his video. I knew it was gunna sell out because there is no way in hell they are able to sell it at that price. And I got mine for $72 and it has been awesome. I still use my Active for myu main pressure washer and I use this one soley for a spot free rinse by ujtilizing it's ability to use any water source so I just fill up a 5 gallon bucket with distilled water and put a 5 foot hose from the pressure washer to the bucket and I gethigh pressure spot free water for rinsing.
This is exactly why I replaced my older Ryobi and the Karcher. In order to prolong life of the DI resin, I run my municipal 350 ppm water through a on demand tankless RO. The pump in the tankless RO is more efficient in the pure to waste water generation. And it drops the ppm to 11-18. Which my DI system is happy with. I found this induction motor pressure washer is much better priming and drawing water in via gravity versus the Ryobi and trash Karcher I was using previously. Those two would be so inconsistent that it was annoying. Plus, the lower gpm rate is welcomed because it allows me do the final spotfree rinse on multiple cars from the single 15gallon water reservoir. No need to keep making more water. So there’s definitely a good nitch for this product imho. Once i put quality stainless quick connect on the machine. Used a bunch of Teflon tape to stop the leakage. The machine has been performing good so far. Longevity is the only thing questionable but time will tell. Also, I used to hate the sound of my Ryobi and Karcher electric pressure washer. The sound coming out of this induction motor pump is more pleasing to me.
Yeah I think the numbers were pretty good and the price is amazing!!! The build quality is very questionable to me but it’s great to hear people are having good results with it
The Pump is actually aluminum. There are about a dozen brands on Amazon of these pressure washers, all have the same accessories, same looking style pump, some painted black. The prices range from $60 - $100. Most likely they all come from the same factory.
I picked one up for 75.47 shipped after taxes, spent 7.99 on the 2 year warranty, and 21.61 on the two adapters. 105 ALL in I figured its worth it to try it out and see where it gets me. I mostly clean my own vehicles, plus a little bit of side detailing here and there. If I dont care for it, im sure i could sell it easily and jump into something better or keep using my karcher k2000.
I think it’s a good call especially at that price! I think I over spoke saying it a total pass. The number were good and it ran quiet it’s just the build quality that is the true concern for me
You should do more cheap reviews - I always find these way more interesting than testing good stuff that you already know is good, and much too expensive to justify spending if you're just washing your car on the weekends. Also, who knows, maybe you stumble across some awesome product.
Yeah I love doing that! I stayed at the end of the video that this is a total pass and that was because I don’t have a lot of confidence in the build quality especially when seeing what the accessories were like. However, the numbers were pretty good and the unit ran low amps and pretty quiet so it’s worth atleast checking out
@@imjoshv Oh I agree, this would be a hard pass - but I just mean I enjoy these reviews where you either find a diamond in the rough or it's just junk and it gets bashed. I know you said you don't really do that, but I personally always find it fun to watch a trash product get beat down.
I picked it up on Amazon for $71 before it sold out. Have yet to try it since it's winter here in Pennsylvania. Thanks for the review, I was curious about the numbers.
I know she talked about the craftsman unit and the Ryobi unit I'm curious if you like the smaller greenworks unit I've used that one for a while now. I got tired of the Ryobi ones just kind of crapping out and honestly dude the green works unit that I've had the cheapest smallest one has just been crushing it.
Yeah I think the numbers were pretty good and the price is amazing!!! The build quality is very questionable to me but it’s great to hear people are having good results with it
I really enjoy watching your videos on pressure washer's. I'm leaning towards the Greenworks for home and auto. One question I have is I'm on a city water and sewer system. Can I be sure that I will get enough water flow from my house into the inlet side of the machine to reach the GPM that you reach in you're testing?
Quick way to test GPM - Put on a 4.0 nozzle. 700psi should be flowing close to 1.6gpm, 800 psi close to 1.7gpm, 900psi close to 1.8gpm, etc... But it has to be an accurate 4.0 nozzle. Pressure at the gun and flowrate go hand-in-hand.
Hi Steve! You’re correct about psi and gpm going hand in hand. However a 4.0 won’t always perform the same on every unit. It’s depends on quite a few things. For some units a 4.0 is too small and others a 4.0 won’t give enough psi. Usually the higher psi gives lower gpm so we change the nozzle to a larger size to decrease psi and increase gpm
I was honestly debating about buying an Active soon but I told myself to wait until your pressure washer comes out. I have the 1800 rn and it’s still going strong, should be good for another few months while we wait🤙🏼
I love the Active products and how they take viewers along with their thought process as they engineer and design. I would be a customer of their pressure washer if not for the reviews I watched where the sound it emits seems to have that higher pitch whine. Became a deal breaker for me and so I was awaiting Josh’s pressure washer.
@ The 2.3 I believe makes that higher pitch. Even then, the 2.3 is out of my budget haha. 2.0 is definitely would be better but yeah, want to wait for Josh’s washer since he estimates it would be around that price point. I enjoy his reviews and would love to support his work🤙🏼
The sounds of the active 2.3 is louder than the active 2.0. It’s weird since traditionally an induction motor would run quieter. It does get some amazing performance though!!
Thanks so much! I just got my first factory sample and the numbers the factory was testing is different than what I am getting… so we are trying to work through that. The numbers are great for psi and gpm but I’m getting that at 16 amps and I want to try and stay under 15
I think how bad is it, would make a better thumbnail, but for less than the cost of some shorty guns what can you expect. Are you going all in on quiver accessories to go w/ the pressure washer? Nozzles ends, foam cannon, gun , wand etc?
Hah!👈 U have the same Kobalt compressor as I do,I paint cars for a living at home with that thing,it actually pushes enough air to do a whole car,but it would be nice to have more
You’re able to significantly increase the gallon per minute flow. I’ve never used a set up like that so I’m not 100% sure but from what I’ve seen you can get some great gpm
Looks like if you bought this unit then after buying connectors, an extension cord and everything else it'd be cheaper to buy the Ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer.
It definitely runs quieter and it’s an induction motor so it should, my confidence in it is linked to the accessories it came with though. The loose metal in the gun makes me think the quality control is not there.. with that said many people have commented saying they’ve been using it for a few months and it’s been working well for them! So hopefully my concern on build quality of the motor pump is not warranted
I just got my first sample from the factory and the the amp reading I am getting is different that what the factory was getting… so we are going back and forth to sort that out
