honestly that offer was awful, she basically sold 25% of her company for 50k. The excitement got to her head too quickly
But he also said he would follow her through her next ideas if this didn't work out, and he said loans as required. And she doesn't own 100% of the company to begin with. She owns 33.3% with her mom and sister owner the other 2/3. So instead of them getting 33.3% each, they now get 25% each. It's a 4 way split instead of a 3 way split, losing 8.3% each hurts less than 25% from one person. Plus the reason she asked him on was for guidance to grow. She needed a new business partner. I'd pay 8 cents on the dollar each to get the expertise.

I don't know if this is true in this case? maybe she is talking about designing the outfits or the idea of using it for the purpose of Tanning wear, however I do know you're right that there are a huge amount of people who a shamelessly promote an idea as their unique artisan idea but they are simply repackaging the idea. This is really scary that it's become standard practice 🤦🏾♀️😕
The garment isn't the idea. Marketing the garment for the purpose of people getting to and from tanning appointments, and reselling through spraytanners is the idea. That's completely new.
