    I hate the train wraps and have complained to Brightline CEO and Orlando station manager and hope you do too.

    You can definitely tell the European-inspiration the people at Brightline took for their trains. Really nice, high-tech experience!

    • @tonygauthierjr

      It wasn’t just inspiration. The locomotive is built by Siemens, which is a German company. Thanks for watching. I’ll be doing a lot more of these types of videos in the future, so be sure to subscribe.

    • @miles5600

      yet these trains are pretty rare in europe if available at all. I've traveled all over the continent and never seen these locomotives with an engine in the front.
      in europe they're usually Alstom or stadler which are EMU units and most of the railways in europe are electrified which allow for a quiet and fast ride. the US only has the north east corridor electrified.

    • @miles5600

      @user-ft2dq1dt8n Dutchie here, i’ve used the Eurostar multiple times before, too bad our rail here in Europe isn’t an internationally connected system. It’s a hassle with schedules, delays and even purchasing tickets for the right train that’s leaving the right station at the right time, it’s so hard to get all the tickets sometimes.

    • @mx338

      @miles5600 all high-speed lines in Europe are electrified, and in Europe non-MU trains are usually designed to be able to use any-locomotive, so you can switch locomotives when travelling to another country, or switch locomotives depending on if the line is electrified or not.

    • @miles5600

    Hey Tony. I really enjoyed the vid. I must reveal that my buddy and I rode the Brightline from Miami to WPB the very first week it went live to the public. It's probably unbelievable that the ticket price was just $10 for the opening weekend. Inside the Downtown Miami complex, my first feeling was like "I'm I at the Airport or what?" We did not do premium level, but with the layout, the comfort, the views (without wraps), the newness, and the cleanliness of the passenger spaces, the experience was still amazing. As much as I appreciate Brightline service, we should be honest in that 125mph for a 40-mile segment does not really qualify as "high speed." Still, they need to expand to many more corridors and build ACTUAL high speed railways.

    • @tonygauthierjr

About 50% of the Brightline route is at 80 mph, about 20% is at 110 mph (with interruptions), and less than 8% is at 125 mph, but for some reason single-tracked. Amtrak has several routes that stay above 110 mph for more than 40% of their routes - the Wolverine, the Lincoln Service, and the several routes that run on the NEC.
