    Thanks we going on cruise from FL Lauderdale but fly in orlando for 4 days and train looks 100% times better than drive down I 95 or the Turnpike and less stressful ❤

      Oh, I’d really recommend the train. I drove the highway a few years ago, and found the train to be way more stress free. Give it a go - I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

    Hello - used Brightline 3 weeks ago from Ft Lauderdale to Miami. Had the Premium ticket & like you said, it was an amazing experience! Terminal was spotless, had lunch in the Premium Lounge made it to Miami in about 40 minutes. Didn't use Uber but took the Brightline shuttle to the airport (hotel) and the shuttle driver was hilarious! It was a great experience & definitely looking forward to using Brightline again! All The Best!

    What a difference the Brightline rail is to British Rail, and also Amtrak! Good to know of this route. I am sure it will be useful for some Florida visitors. A good way to travel. Thank you.

    Absolutely contagious excitement from you in this video! Although I live in Lisbon now, I moved here from Fort Lauderdale. Brightline is, hands down, the best train company running routes under eight hours anywhere in the world. They are also building in California/Nevada. Europe defintely has the best network, and I love their upcoming private and public companies giving passengers a wonderful ride. Thanks so much for showing people such a great way tot ravel in Florida.

      Ahh, thanks so much for watching! I didn’t realise they were operating elsewhere - I’m going to need to keep watch for their services. If they’re offering elsewhere what they’re doing in Florida, I’d LOVE to support them!

    If they can eventually get this service to Tampa as planned, this will be fantastic for cruisers. It will give people a range of options with respect to airports to fly into. I don't think there is a stop at Coco Beach yet? But I expect it is only a matter of time.

    • @FraserAtSea

    Great information 👍 Thank you!
    We are considering taking train from Orlando to Miami but our friends looked at and advised it was cheaper to hire a care and drive down.
    Any advice on this?
    Are you planning to try this route?
    Would love to see vlog on this route and get to cruiseport from Orlando to Fort Lauderdale or Port Canaveral 😀

    Can you talk about ubering to station, taking train, then ubering from station vs just ubering/taxi/ride for cost and time.

    • @dinodiner1939
      @dinodiner1939 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Brightline has a partnership with Uber and will schedule an Uber that corresponds with your start and finish of the train ride. When I took it last year it was $8 from stations to Port Miami. For W Palm, it was from the airport and it was $10.
      Always get the upgraded service especially if you might spend some time in the terminal waiting for the train. The upgrade gives you a good variety of food and beer included and was less expensive than eating at a restaurant in either location.

    How does the free Uber actually work? Do they give you some kind of code?

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! Good question - you get a code from the guest services team, and you just key that into your app. It’s super easy! :)

  • @TWSmith42
    @TWSmith42 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Do you know do you get to the Fort Lauderdale Brightline station from FLL airport or Miami cruise port from the Brightline station? How did you let the Uber driver know the ride was free? Also, $47 (or $29) from Fort Lauderdale to Miami, but isn't Uber about $40 for the same trip?

    • @roiijamez33
      @roiijamez33 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Brightline has a shuttle that picks up from FLL airport. $10 for first guest & $5 for additional guests traveling together.

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! So my journey was way better value to use Brightline compared to what Uber were charging on the day. I got a code from the Brightline guest services team to book the Uber with - that automatically applied the discount for me - I was SO impressed!
      I didn’t use the service from FLL, but it looks like another viewer had already answered for me 😊 Thanks a lot for watching!!
