I was thinking for your axle chain problem to use a right-angle gear box and use the gear box from the one quad for your main trans. I like that you cut clearance holes in your hood for your shocks. Next, I would raise your body tub for rear end and Transmation clearance. Next I would use right angle gear box for your steering and several universals to bring your steering wheel to a comfortable position. I got a hold of a Honda Quad power steering box to use on my build, I also have a hydraulic steering unit from a very small forklift with the ram cylinders. Keep up the good work and looking forward to episode number 4.
I’m still up in the air about what to do for the transmission, but I still do have the quad trans and I’m considering using it still, steering wise I just figured out last night which encompasses several universal joints to say the least. Thanks for all your input and ideas! I appreciate it.
Howdy, I have used polaris atv parts like this to make a couple things as well. I think you would be better off finding another atv with an independent rear suspension, or making one yourself.
That thought has definitely crossed my mind, for now I'm going to leave it like this but I think eventually I will build another mini jeep or at least heavily upgrade this one and that change would definitely be one I would make.
Love this build. I look forward to the videos every week! Keep up the good work.
Awesome! Thank you!
