I personally got my steel from Vena Cava designs, but they were based in the UK so they were a little pricy (but the quality was great!). I’d recommend having a google to see if there are any places closer to where you live who specialise in corsetry-making supplies, since quality can be a little costly!

1:38 if you have the tools, you can probably use a small saw to make a round cut.
Just make sure you're wearing safety gear!
The tip with the rounding and the glue is good but honestly I don't have the patience for that, I just wrap the ends in duct tape and it works fine
Duct tape is fine if you're pressed for time, I was taught this method however to ensure longevity and multiple washes through theater.
