There is gold underneath Oroville California and adventuresinpro... had an opportunity to test the dirt from about 20 feet below the Montgomery Street.
I'm not going to say where I found it exactly but just yesterday I was prospecting locally in the greater Oroville area and found a 3.4 oz natural nugget . I also panned another 5.2 grams of flakes out of 6 buckets of classified material. In the same general location last year I was classifying material and found a 11.6 gram nugget and later while panning the classified material I had a total of 9.1 grams of flakes and specs to go along with the 11.6 gram nugget. The 20.7 grams total for a few hours of sampling material and then panning through 7 buckets of classified material. I think it's fair to say I have found a nice little Honey hole. I almost fell over yesterday when I noticed the big nugget as I was first sifting through the material There's definitely Big Gold still around the area. It's just not sitting on the top anymore like it was when the Gold Rush of 1849 kicked off. ( Edited for a spelling error )
I was in your store back in the Winter time and bought a metal detector from you And some crevicing tools and a few other things.. While my semi truck was in the shop
Did you know that they were going to dozer that town big vane of gold goes straight under the town. The town had a meeting and decided against. I remember when that town had the last of the old wooden sidewalk. Did you know it's illegal to kill a snake in city limits because of the old sidewalks. I lived in the area for years good gold in that area still got a couple claims in the area.😁
Idk why I couldn't find any chanel's that prospect in my part of ca but your video came up in my feed and I'm so happy I found this channel, I live in Oroville also, well thermalito but same thing, but I have been wanting something I can take my kids out to do in nature but I have zero experience with gold related activities lol I am curious have you ever thought about doing a live demo type of thing with group of people? Idk ,costumers pay a fee to get some experience and to ask you a million questions lol but just a idea, you can advertise for tours via your store front? Just saying because I'd sign me and my kids up for sure lol thank you for awesome content! Keep it up 😊
That is so cool that you're doing that I was told under the town of platina there was a ton of gold also and Sacramento California is on the American and Sacramento River and under downtown Sacramento is the old city of Sacramento they built on top of it and the whole region of Sacramento is 20 to 60 ft underwater so they hold all the water back so all of Sacramento valley used to be underwater and the downtown Sacramento area was definitely a gold mine, and you can get underground to the Old Sacramento in some places or when they're demolishing buildings and I wonder how much gold is down there
I was a news reporter in Oroville more than 30 years. Occasionally i would get called to do a story on someone's golf find . Sometimes a few flakes and less often a large nugget that was actually quite a find. People from all over the unty own small mining claims set up along the Feather River that runs through the county and south to Sacramento River

The rock piles down by Taco Bell etc are a combination of rocks from the dam, and from the big river dredges used on the Feather.

In Jacksonville,Or. The miners would tunnel down under the floor of there cabins in the winter . Years later there have been a few cave ins.
