    Hello
Do the synthetic floor coverings have any insulating value? I have a home that is an at level slab home. The carpet in my living room needs to be replaced. I am not a fan of carpeting. I have considered putting a coating of some kind down and using area rugs. Can rugs be put on the synthetic coatings? Thanks in advance for any insights you can lend.

Thanks for the comment! A concrete floor coating would be a great option for your project. The rugs will not an issue as long as you wait until the coating is fully hardened. The coating will not add any insulating value, however. Thank for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!

Does the Liquid Metal Urethane yellow? How long has it been around?

Thanks for the comment!!! The Rock Hard Urethane is UV-stable & non-yellowing. However, this does not necessarily mean that the epoxy underneath it wouldn't yellow a bit if it got heavy exposure to UV rays. We've had this low-odor version of Rock Hard Urethane for 3-4 years, but this type of urethane has been around for 15-plus years.

Can I use this over an old hardwood floor assuming I sand fill and prep as required?

Thanks for the comment! We have a product called Floor Flex that's designed to be an underlayment for floor coatings. It's meant to be applied to a plywood subfloor, then you can apply whatever coating want. We don't recommend putting it directly over old hardwood. The best thing would be to put plywood over the hardwood, then apply the Floor Flex. Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!
