Now being Australian I don't know any African American people and I'm normally an Asian food lover but girl I love love love your recipes I'm binge watching them omg your cooking speaks to my soul....❤❤❤
I made this last night after reviewing about ten different recipes. Some were super simple with just five ingredients. This one was a bit more “busy”, but everything made sense. It took about 45 minutes from beginning to popping it in the oven. 41/2 hours and it was amazing. This is a keeper. Thanks for posting!
I'm so happy that you saw it through! It definitely has several extra steps than the package version, but it's soooo well worth it! Thank you for giving it a try and I appreciate you!
I made it for dinner tonight, and it was my first time even eating a Mississippi Pot roast. It came out great! I followed your slow cooker on low recommendations
Couldn't resist not cooking this but let me just say, gotta watch out for those peppers! I added six and a little juice and BAM BAM BAM got a real kick. I must say though after that initial shock of those peppers I couldn't stop eating this delicious recipe. I'll be sure to maybe just add one or two peppers next time. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for making a version with your own gravy :) I’m American but I live in Europe and I brought ranch seasoning with me when I moved, but I can’t find the au jus packets here that everyone uses for this recipe
Tried your Salisbury Steak recipe, which was amazing, so I already know how this is going to go 😍🔥P.S. never added sour cream to potatoes before, but it’s a game changer!!! Much love ❤️
I have a question, please. Do you use cornstarch in place of flour? Does cornstarch help make a roux? I suppose I could continue watching instead of posting a question at that point. But my curiosity got the better of me and I have to type it now
@@kristinaandthegerman4554 hey there! Sure! I do use cornstarch in this recipe but it can be subbed for flour. I wouldn’t use the CS for a roux, but it is excellent for making a quick slurry which is usually equal parts water or broth and CS. I hope this helps answer answers your question. 💕💕
Thank you! I’m a girl in the South who needs to amp up my cooking. My Daddy was Cajun and one of his favorite meals that wasn’t Cajun was pot roast or steak and gravy. I’ve watched both of your recipes for those items. And now I have fallen down the rabbit hole watching your videos! Peace and blessings to you from the ‘burbs of Nashville Tennessee.

Looks good can i bake it instead
You could probably put in a casserole pot and cook similarly in the oven instead of the stove/hob
