Unless it was Sega of Japan or mostly Sega of Europe I heard they are innocent or maybe if they are Canadian actors. But Sega of America are mostly dumbhead careless people of professional actors and replaced with cheap cast what they have since Sonic Free Riders. Only one thing I love Sega is they don’t mind people creating own Sonic mod or fan made games maybe because they are not making any consoles since Dreamcast ended, but Nintendo hate people creating Mario fan made game or mod games because maybe think it illegal to do that or something maybe jealousy

What I really enjoy watching Ryan Drummond do is transition between his real voice and Sonic's voice. Like I just find that cool and interesting to watch.

Poor Ryan Drummond got turned down by Sega for the Sonic x shows he was a good voice actor for it every one will miss you 😀
Actually he got turned down by 4Kids because they thought their cast for Bible Black was superior to Sonic Adventure 2.

4kids and sega actually replaced the old cast without them knowing because they didn’t live in new york where the 4kids HQ was, despite ryan wanting to move to NY to still play sonic
Ryan is such a good sport, he complimented near enough every notable sonic voice actor.
My favorite Sonic character is probably Tails. He had that “little brother” complex going on in Sonic Adventure and Adventure 2. It was amazingly uplifting to witness his coming-of-age character arc. He faced the villian and the city at peril all by himself for a moment, and won! It was a crowning moment of awesome

My favorite Sonic character is Sonic himself! I admire his sense of freedom and how he lives by his own rules. He's got an attitude and he can be a bit impatient sometimes, but he's got a heart of gold and is always super loyal to his friends, which I think makes for an interesting, loveable character. #SonicTKN
Ryan Drummond was always my favorite voice actor for Sonic. It’s awesome that he’s always been invested to come back. It’s now or never.
I'd like to see a Sonic-focused interviewer talk to Ryan about his different interpretations and whether they were a natural evolution that he took the voice in, or if it was guided by different directors. If you listen to his performances in Adventure and Heroes, it's especially contrasting in pitch, tone, and volume, with Adventure 2 in this perfect middle ground that I still consider the ideal Sonic voice.

Ryan was PERFECT as Sonic and I miss him so much :) he's like the literall english translation to Junichi Kanemaru's Sonic voice in Japanese.
Ryan is the only true voice for Sonic.
I respectfully disagree. I think Jaleel, Ryan, Jason, and Roger all have their own unique takes on Sonic that make up Sonic's personality.

Knuckles is and will always be my favorite Sonic character of all time, especially when he was voiced by Scott Dreier. Knuckles is the guardian of the Master Emerald who watches it 24/7 alone on Angel Island. He may be naive here and there but aren't we all at times? Not only that but he's just a really chill dude who honestly would probably listen to his own rap music. That is why Knuckles The Echidna is my favorite Sonic character.

Everyone is missing the “new” Sonic voice actor but honestly I’ve always missed and preferred Ryan. This is the first and BEST Sonic voice. Sonic sounds cool and carefree in Sonic Adventure as he should.
I will admit that I also liked the voice for Sonic Unleashed but I feel like everyone in Sonic Adventure was voiced perfectly. I prefer SA1’s Tails, Sonic, Eggman, Knuckles, Amy and SA2’s Rouge & Shadow. Now I find their new voices to be between annoying and cringe in newer games. I’m still hoping that they’ll make a Sonic Adventure 3 (with the old cast)👵😭🤣
My favorite Sonic character is Sonic himself. I have grown up with the blue Hedgehog and to this day he is my favorite video game character. I have watched all the cartoons, anime, and of course played the games with Sonic 2 being my first. Also i have to thank Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast for making me fall even more in love with the Sonic franchise. It was so much fun and i have some great memories attached to the game.

Subscribed! Sonic but there are so many variations of him it’s hard to choose which one. Each actor makes it their own. Ryan gives him high energy and enthusiasm and attitude. Jason is so smooth and natural ( well not at first) with his sonic. Roger gives off that same attitude ryan gives and rogers sonic is reckless but good intentioned. I love his wisecracks. I really like all the variations of their sonics. They all feel different but still like sonic to me.
My favorite has to be Dr Robotnik AKA Eggman. He’s always been a joy especially thanks to Mike.

I think my favorite character is either sonic or tails. With sonic, I liked his can-do and snarky attitude that he gives out, while also being a hero and protecting the animals from the Genesis days as a way to represent compassion and heroic.
Tails on the other hand represents the child in us. During the Genesis days and the adventure era, tails looked up to Sonic as a figure, someone to think about on how "I can be a hero like sonic". Tails showed how he can be independent without sonic in SA1 and SA2. Those are the type of characters I can relate to, which is proving to be independent on your own to save the things you love.

My favorite Sonic the Hedgehog character is Silver since I've always been fascinated with time travel and telekinesis as a kid. So having a character who could use powers like one of my favorite Pokémon, Mewtwo, and coming from the future was awesome even though he was a joke when he debuted lol. Love him regardless though

Always the best sonic voice in my mind
There are a plethora of characters to love in the Sonic universe; I mean I love Sonic, I love Knuckles, I love Vector, I love Espio, and so forth, but my favorite character out of them all and the one I relate to the most is Shadow the Hedgehog because since I was a teenager, I dealt with a lot of hard times in life as well, just as Shadow did between things that happened in the ARK, losing Maria, shifting his character arc in a different direction, etc. And honestly, I never had a fictional character feel so relatable to me. And ever since I played Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast back in 2001, I instantly fell in love with Shadow since I was a kid. Though Ryan Drummond IS the best voice of Sonic the Hedgehog as is David Humpfrey as Shadow; I wish the Dreamcast era of voice actors still around would continue voicing these characters today. Also, great interview by the way.

So when you were a teen, you had your home raided by the military, saw your best friend dying in front of you, got imprisoned for years by that same military, was freed by an egg-shaped scientist and declared revenge on the whole planet? Sounds like a real difficult adolescence. My condolences.

Man, I don’t think I’ve really realized just how much I actually miss Ryan. Don’t get me wrong, Jason was great, and I do like Roger’s take as it has definitely grown on me, but Ryan just is Sonic to me. His sheer energy and love for the character just makes me happy and really makes it seem much more natural for him, and he’s the only voice I could see working for all of Sonic’s variations (classic, modern, hell even boom). And also, to me, he just suits the character the best and makes him sound the most like a teenager. Such a shame he couldn’t come back for Colors and Generations, because I would have loved to hear his voice in the modern games! Oh well, his portrayal of Sonic will always live on in my heart as the best I’ve seen, alongside with Ben’s recent portrayal in the movie

My favorite sonic character is Tails or Miles Tails prower.
