    That is some damn fine work! And thanks for the video, I just installed the exact set up with Uponor.

    After hummin' and hawing over pex and whether to crimp or clamp, I've decided just to go with 100% copper soldered pipes.
    The risk to flow restriction is just going to gnaw my brain out.

    I AM INSTALLING SAME CONFIGURATION. NOW I WILL PUT THE DIRECTION VALVE ON TOP OF THE COLD HOT WATER INLET, CONNECTING FOR 3/4. ONLY A DOUBT I HAVE TO REMOVE THE INTERIOR PLUG I WILL ONLY USE 2 SHOWARE HEAT AND SIDE LINES. ELSE I INSTALLED THE CARTRIDGE AND I HAVE LOW PRICE IN COLD WATER SAVES WHY. Thank you very much I loved your video, heres a professional

    I just installed this same set-up in a custom home, and I thought it was kind of odd turning the main valve on from left to right. I’m use to moen turning the valve on right to left. But, this was my first time messing with kohler.

    Why not save a TON of offsets by stacking the diverter valve vertically above the shower valve?? (But nice job on the install, As a 33 yr plumber the on/off with the torch drove me nuts but still well done)

      sorry for the noise!! what happens is, that you do what the owner and the boss ask of you!

    Did you discover that you have to remove the internal plug, when using that diverter as a 2 way, not 3 way, diverter?

    See that you applied flux after soldering. Were they wiped off video or left on?

    Did you pull the integral plug for 2 way system?

    You would be better if you explained what your doing with the diverter. By pointing no one really knows what the heck is going on.

    Can a tub spout be used here ?

    Why did you not anchor the valves to a 2x4 and instead anchor the piping?

    4:19....is this for water hammer?
    I read, this is a temporary solution, as the device gets use with age, it loses it's effectiveness.

    Can I cancel the right side and use the left side on the transfer valve?

      Yes, the operation is the same

    Badass but is there a way to mount the diverter on top of the valve instead of to the side ?

    • @timquick9554
      @timquick9554 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YES absolutely would have saved a ton of offsets (90s) but design layout IS preferential. So to each their own.

    I installed one of these last week. Showers head and handheld on the transfer. This week customer ask for me to switch the tub spout to the diverter because his friend who is also a plumber said it should be the the transfer valve not the mixing valve I told him we shouldn’t do that but persisted, so o did it today. Went to test and I’m having issues. Shower head and spout run by themselves but the hand held won’t. The spout runs at the same time as the handheld can get it to run by itself. Do you think the spout is starving the water from the hand held? I’m going to call kohler on Monday but would love your input. Nice work

    Great video👍 I’m doing the exact setup except in a vertical setup. Do you have to take out the stops? And why do they come with them? Just to have eco pressure?

    I’m currently doing the exact same setup in a clients master bathroom. It’s hard to tell from the video...is there any 3/4” lines in your setup? Is it all 1/2”? Thanks for the great video! It’s awesome to see someone else that takes extreme pride in their work. Don’t sweat the technique!,🎶🎶🔊

    • @go-diy
      @go-diy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's all 1/2, but it comes from a 3/4 pipe

    Two shower values just to add another shower head? Kinda dump kohler did this. They should just built one valve with an extra output.
