MG2 is the game MGS got all the credit for. MG2 is the true pioneer of the MGS series. To this very day it's amazing to play and had it been released in the west it would have been regarded as one of the best games of its generation, easily
I agree that MG2 should get more recognition as one of the best games in the whole series. But MGS was the gateway into the series for many westerners, including myself. MG2 was a pioneer for the series, but I think MGS was also a pioneer for the series. Also, I've been a big fan of your channel for a long, long time. I'm glad to see you're still around and still uploading. You do a great job, I hope you keep at it.

these are true, but given what an obscure and trickly to truely emulate game the original MSX games were (even the PS2 port had to be modified) we're lucky many of its great ideas got reused and improved into MGS

I played demo of Vr Missions when i was a kid, and i didn't know about original MGS. I thought Snake was just a guy stuck inside a computer. xD

I personally think Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake should get a remake, I know I'm not alone on this one.

Nah. Kojima would just ruin them, too. Giving them extremely over-exaggerated movements/gestures, making them backflip off rockets and put a bunch of retconning plot twists all over the place.Ever since MGS1's success the guy went crazy and came down with "George Lucas syndrome"

Yes, his games have flaws. But.... What game does not? If you think about it, while the story does seem inconsistent, it does work. MGS4 may be seen as a train wreak, I see it as a nice conclusion. I would have liked more gameplay rather than cutscenes however.
Apparently The Phantom Pain will be just that. Looking forward to it. End the series with a "bang".

I know that the image they put on the case of Metal Gear 1 is like a draw of Kyle Reese from the first movie but having such inspiration is amazing.

Definitely my favorite in the VR missions soundtrack. It's a very close race between this and 'Advanced Mode', but this one wins out for me, personally. What an awesome remake!!

it was the puzzle element that was fun, everything in that game emphasized sneaking.
kyle schneider was the resistance leader who helped guide you around outer heaven in metal gear one. he also provided you with info where to find items as well. after snake defeated metal gear, he reveals that nato conducted an air raid and bombed nearly all of outer heaven. lots of resistance members were also left behind as well as kyle schneider
Honestly, almost a hundred bucks for VR Missions? You get that shit for free in the Windows 2000 version of MGS! (Got mine for 2 bucks. c:)

Recently I saw a Sonic Classics game (a sega game with sonic 1, 2 and a puzzle game called doctor robotniks mean bean machine) that was priced for around $150, then another one not very long ago priced for $7.50.

I seriously doubt MGS5 will be anything like MGS1-3. Those games are criticized these days for having outdated controls in comparison to 4 & PW.
IMO. Even for their time they were outdated (except MGS1). The player should've been able to move in FP mode in MGS2, and crouch walk in MGS3. If MGS5 went back to the old mechanics it would flop in the reviews, which would lead to lower sales.
And besides, MGS4 allows you to play it like you would MGS3, so there is really no issue.

Please Hideo Kojima produce a REMAKE of at least MGS from Playstation One and maybe a remake of MGS 2 Sons of Liberty OR MGS 3 would be GREAT AS F***! As a hardcore MGS Fan me and many others would appreciate that, but I'm so excited of Death Stranding as well 👐
@@chabsie6187 he meant the MGS for PS1 also the GC Remake kinda sucked so I think it's right to make a remake of MGS1 or MGS3 F*** YEAH!!
@@nectarium8760 Kojima has stated that the gamecube remake was closer to his original vision for MGS. Plus aside from the more over the top action cutscenes, I'd say the game is a pretty big improvement over the original MGS overall considering they updated the gameplay with MGS2 mechanics. If anything, Twin Snakes at least deserves an hd update like the other games did.
MG 1 and 2 deserve remakes definitely since their original stories have been retconned a bit by later games
