Export animations from Krita as a video file on a Mac (not using FFmpeg)

Rendering your animation in Krita on a Mac as a movie requires the seperate installation of a program called FFmpeg. This program is free but I found it very unintuitive to install on my Mac. There is a simple and completely free option to use instead. It's Quicktime. This video shows you how to do it.

Sorry, I see no way to do that. I suppose you could just pad your animation with duplicate frames but that is extra work.

Is there a way where i can switch the frame rate. It doesnt give me any more options other than the 24 rates and above on quicktime player

I don't think you can do it in Krita. But you can add an audio track to a video in DaVinci Resolve. Resolve is free and very good. You can record the audio track using quicktime.

why do my quick time player doesn't have the "open image sequence"?

On my machine the "open image sequence" option is in the QuickTime "File" menu, sixth line down in the menu.
Maybe you need to update your MacOS? My version is QuickTime 10.5. and my Mac OS version is "Big Sur 10.5.2".

It is pre installed on every Mac. Just search for Quicktime using the magnifying glass in the menu bar in the top right of the screen.
