Thank You for the Video Upload and *FFmpeg* Download Instructions! I'm from the '90's *PowerPC* Era and panicked when I downloaded what I thought was the Mac Version of FFmpeg (before coming to your Site) for *KRITA* *5.* What was on my desktop was a an executable app file, of which we normally see on an *IBM* type PC, so I stopped right there and said _"forget this file"_ thinking there was a bug in the Mac Download Section at the FFmpeg Website. Thanks to you, everything got spelled out clearly for me and showed I was 94% done in installing the FFMpeg Mac Version if I had just gone ahead and pressed the damn button. My Late 2013 27" iMac 54 Bit Machine should have no problem gettin' me going with KRITA Animation.
After I tried everything that I knew and more than enough mental breakdowns, I found your video and it's finally working and I did not have to do my university task again with another program. Thank you for your explanation :)
thank you so much for sharing this video. I watched other videos was so complicate. but I followed your video and finally I downloaded and tested. works very well. thanks again
very helpful, I agree, some of those web pages are totally baffling and off-putting. Had exactly the same issue, but for me, it was the recorder panel and time lapse
Im bookmarking this, Thank you omg ur a hero. God If it werent for you almost every1 would have already given up, and moved on to another open source ...
thank you so much!! at first the page made me a little insecure but thanks to your video i knew what to do, i'm really happy i can download my animations now
When I try to export the file, I get the error message: "Export failed. FFmpeg message: [fc#0 @ 0x7fc68a904580] Error reinitializing filters! Could the issue be that before this I installed FFMPEG through Homebrew? Do I need to uninstall that first?
@@matthewdaley7535 I wanted to respond with an update and thank you! I recently got a Mac, so this tutorial helped a lot. I uninstalled FFMPEG on home-brew, and reinstalled using your method. I believe Krita also had some recent updates which fixed some bugs with ffmpeg on Mac. Either way, I don't know exactly what happened, but it works now! Cheers!

I can download the basic Krita sketch program for painting/drawing to my Mac, but I can't seem download the animation version. Any suggestions?
There is only one version and it does animations. Search TH-cam for "how to animate in Krita" and there will be plenty of explanations.
Really helped! thanks

I have no idea. Try your idea and message here to tell us if it worked so we can all benefit.
