Kings dominion used to be very magical. Back in the 90s/early 2000s they had the best collection of coasters. It’s ok now but I hope it goes back to its former glory soon.
The Film 'Rollercoaster (1977)' was featured and included the park and some of its rides, notably 'Rebel Yell' th-cam.com/video/zN09H4WjvoU/w-d-xo.html
These parks like Busch gardens etc get worse every year. A well rounded set of attractions steadily get tore down and replaced with endless extreme coasters. Fastest tallest in the world or whatever extreme. They cater themselves to less than 10% of their customers who want extreme coasters. I like normal coasters like the beast which is the grizzly at kings domain or the racers. I like water slides, log rides, the Eiffel Tower, comedy shows, animals, gardens. It will all eventually be bulldozed and nothing but coasters that are so extreme they aren’t even fun will replace them to cater to the two hundred people that travel the world for these coasters. So I better visit while there’s still some worthwhile rides left.
I agree, a theme park needs a well rounded range of attraction for all ages. Some of the ones you mention can be enjoyed by everyone. Not many parks understand this fully and the tallest, fastest, worlds first are always much easy to market. Cedar Fair parks are nowhere near as bad as Six Flags, Kings Island has added family rides the past two years.

I totally understand what you are saying. I saw that when researching my next video about lost rides at that park!
They’ve got two world class coaster and a deep lineup of rides of all sorts. The only major omission is a world class dark ride.
That paramount license was golden. Gave the rides that extra oomph
I enjoy your style of video. It doesn’t over stay its welcome and the vintage footage is excellent!
Thank you so much. I could make them longer, but don’t want them to be boring.
