I would recommend staying in Dunoon on the other side of the Strathclyde from Glasgow. It's a great base to visit lots of Scotlands views. Also Inverness as a base. The road along the infamous Loch Ness to the west side of Scotland is also well worth the miles. Thank you for all of these views.😍😀

I love the sound of water, whether it is a river or rain. That deep spoon would be good for soup. It reminds me of the ceramic soup spoons I believe the chinese use.
Oh, how beautiful! I have dreamed of a trip to the UK for many years. I did a DNA and genealogy study a few years ago. I knew I had English and German ancestry, but was surprised to find I am nearly 1/3 Scottish! What a lovely trip! Both of my children have been to Europe, my younger daughter studied at Cambridge. I’m stuck in the Arizona desert! So envious!

I love traditional crafts and anything made out of wood. I do love spoons. Enjoyed the willow basketry. I did have a go at a basket workshop and found it very enjoyable. The wildlife is spectacular that's free 😂😂 I had many Fairisle jumpers knitted by my auntie when I was younger. You don't appreciate these things when you are small.

I enjoyed your video. So many beautiful places you have been. The Marcasssie farm.....what an inspiring place to be. Your spoon is looking very beautiful. Maybe it is not easy to eat with it, but you can use it when you are baking. For measuring sucre or herbs. Thank you for sharing.

I would recommend staying in Dunoon on the other side of the Strathclyde from Glasgow. It's a great base to visit lots of Scotlands views. Also Inverness as a base. The road along the infamous Loch Ness to the west side of Scotland is also well worth the miles.

I love the sound of water, whether it is a river or rain. That deep spoon would be good for soup. It reminds me of the ceramic soup spoons I believe the chinese use.
I could hardly hear myself above the water sound! It was wonderful. The streams were full after the rain..
Oh, how beautiful! I have dreamed of a trip to the UK for many years. I did a DNA and genealogy study a few years ago. I knew I had English and German ancestry, but was surprised to find I am nearly 1/3 Scottish! What a lovely trip! Both of my children have been to Europe, my younger daughter studied at Cambridge. I’m stuck in the Arizona desert! So envious!
One third Scottish! That's probably more than me...😅 In the North East we always think we've got Viking blood....

Beautiful video on all fronts Marion. I could not believe how green everything was, especially as you have just come out of summer. We never get that green even in the depths of winter. I think most of the UK is very green... it's the amount of rain we get! At this time of year though everywhere was looking very abundant.
What a lovely trip and workshop, the leafy spoon looks fabulous, if it’s too deep to eat from, perhaps it’s perfect as a measuring spoon?

I love traditional crafts and anything made out of wood. I do love spoons. Enjoyed the willow basketry. I did have a go at a basket workshop and found it very enjoyable. Loved your video Marion, so much to see and do. Scotland is really beautiful. Glad you enjoyed the break. I enjoyed the little tour. My kind of thing. Loved it.

What an enchanting outing you had in Scotland ! How I would love to go! I wouldn’t mind leaving dried up old Idaho in the country of USA and see the woolen Mills of Scotland and England like you do. Wow! I thought i’ve seen all your videos, I missed this gem! What a beautiful trip you shared. Scotland looks like nature’s paradise! The workshop has lots of materials. I love your walk in the wood inspite of the rain. You seem to like moss a lot,Marion😄, rightfully so because they’re soft and green and they are calming. Love the streams and river sounds. I was wondering if you were in the wood all by yourself.

Thanks for sharing your visit with us. Food for the soul. Thankfully your gardens visit in good weather allowed you to sit and sew in such a serene place. Your spoons have turned out well and tips are always welcome. What an inspiring place to learn something. Lichen fascinate me and I'm sure you'll incorporate some into future designs. Had to cancel our London visit (and going to the K&S Show☹️) due to only just recovering from Covid so your film was really welcome like a breath of fresh air.
Oh that's a shame Jean. Both about covid and not getting to the show.. I've got quite a bad cold at the moment but my covid test was negative thankfully. I'm so happy you enjoyed my travelogue of Scotland.

I am working through your past video's Marion and really enjoying them. Your 2 spoons are beautiful well done. I hope you get back to Scotland but try the North West the next time that is where I hail from. You would also love Shetland but be warned the wool is hard to resist ,money 💰💰 needed. The wildlife is spectacular that's free 😂😂 I had many Fairisle jumpers knitted by my auntie when I was younger. You don't appreciate these things when you are small.
I've been wanting to go to Shetland wool week for years! Too expensive to get there and stay though...😏

The craft centre is called Naturally Useful and the mill is Knockando Wool Mill. It's all in a beautiful part of Scotland.
