Every time he's on screen, viewers/players almost always take him seriously even when he's smirking playfully because we've all learned his smile only means trouble. There's nothing wrong with liking a character you don't actually relate to lol. Personally I love both Vergil and Sephiroth

It's a personal choice. After hearing music for like 10 years, I got some "sensitive" understand of what DMC music style/wibe is (& for which character). When I first heard Kazumi Devil I had mind blown of how epic & strong it is, I loved it instantly, but only with time passing I was realising that it felt similar to dmc1&3 Vergil related OSTs & the feeling that it fits Vergil as a character & his capabilities just grew more & more. Then when I tried to synchronise battle movements in my mind during playback of Devil Kazumi & couldn't find any better fit character than Vergil's (no Tekken character fit Devil Kazumi OST speed & vibe from what I seen, but that's another problem of tekken with music which latter I consider a masterpiece). When Bury the Light released I was chocked, because I disliked almost everything in this song since it positioned it self as Vergil theme because it's style & rhythm is almost the opposite of what was created before for Vergil that fit so well with Vergil. Considering such dissonance in my mind, I started to think what other non-dmc songs are the best for Vergil rhythm, the first two that instantly came to mind were The Revanchist & Devil Kazumi. Even though that I started to like Bury the Light as a song, I still considering it as the biggest miscast for Vergil style/rhythm/tempo (except lyrics meaning & few little "dark" instrumental moments), while Devil Kazumi as the best choice instead & the video I attached for this music explains it better than anything I've said here - the synchronization of what & how Vergil battles in his tempo is almost perfectly identical to Devil Kazumi OST & I didn't even wasted 5 minutes to adjust the song at the right moment for video when I did montage in video-montage program.
