It sounds like you have created a good safety net for yourself. Maintaining an identity separate from your job can be difficult in our culture that places so much emphasis on work. I had a breakdown earlier this year and had to go to FMLA for three months, and eventually realized I had to work on building my sense of self outside of my job. It's a long and tough process. Ive never seen any of your videos before (I ended up here from a Threads recommendation) but you seem smart and skilled, I am confident you will recover from the layoff and get back on your feet in time. One day you'll be old and this will just be a distant memory.
Hi Sang, with your attitude and intellect, there are so many opportunities that will come your way! I love your video format and the wisdom you share! Best of wishes to you and your future endeavors.
Getting laid off is extremely tough, but it can be a blessing in disguise because the engineers that get laid off will learn from their mistakes, that their surviving peers did not make. Plus, the people that survive are no fighting like all get out to keep their jobs, and are now in survival mode, which means no growth at all. It still sucks to be laid off though.
I was paid $205,000 this year; my rent included EVERYTHING and it’s $1,100 😂 I loved when you said you saved 50% of your income. I used mine to pay off my massive MBA student loan
I watched several of your videos. I am 83 years old and have lived the frugal life you are currently living. Like you, I am a saver and have been my entire life. I do not spend principle! I live off interest (or investment) income only. I live frugally. I seldom go out to dinner - too expensive. I wear “poor” clothing. I cut my own hair (what's left of it). A millionaire? I'll keep you guessing, Your three 401K's are a tax trap. Since your taxable income is probably low, it would be to your advantage to convert them to Roth IRA's because the income they will generate is tax free. Do not convert them all at once, but one each year. You will pay a little bit of one-time income tax when you convert to Roth IRA's, but your savings from the tax free income they will generate will far outpace the tax. Your lawsuit against your automobile insurance company is nuts, unless you are doing it pro se or in small claims court. Lawsuits are for rich people.
At least you make almost 200k per year. Many people are in a worst position compared to you. The moral of the story is to save as much as you can and spend below your means.
The content is good, but wow the cadence of your voice is incredibly annoying and the monotone/steady expression without hunor is pretty creepy. Why not just sound normal and human?
Not everyone talks in front of a camera all the time. He worked at a tech job, not as an anchorman on a news channel. Give him some time to improve man.
is this how you'd talk to a normal coworker? theres so many eerie parts about this video, the monotone voice, the shaky hands, the still head and the deadpan stare. It's really difficult to "build" a relationship with coworkers with that its like talking to an emotionless robot.
It’s what happens when you work at a tech job staring at a computer for hours. He’s probably spent the first half of his life studying hard so he can get a high paying job. Give him some time to improve.
Thank You!
It's always the darkest Before the dawn. You did your best you can.
🙏🙏

Thank you for the words of encouragement. It really does mean a lot.
I hope we can both make peace with the next step of our lives 🙏🙏

3 years at each of your past jobs isn’t short, there’s people that leave every year and are still fine.
It was not your fault. Acting on anything that you've identified wouldn't have changed things.
Thank you 🤝

STOP BLAMING YOURSELF. Layoff means you were not fired and it was not your fault. How neurotic could you possibly be?
I WILL TRY MY BEST!! 😭 I am getting better day by day! 🥲
@@SangTalksMoneyyou are wonderful, please be you, I watched this video TWICE IN FULL and enjoyed it IMMENSELY ❤

Believe in yourself!

Correct, the greatest identity is in Christ Jesus friend.

@@MrLazlness Praise makes even a whale dance. Sang will have more confidence and improve his speech tone like announcers
It's called autism. Leave him alone.
ive never even thought twice about how he talks until seeing these comments 🤷

:(
Why do you have to be so critical? He's clearly trying, if you don't have anything nice to say, just stay quiet.
Sang, keep doing you bro!
Thank you!! I will try!! 😭
@@SangTalksMoney If you talk to coworkers like you talked to the camera in the video, you seriously need to change the way you talk.
