Def 2023 pair is based off the 94 pair for sure
I came for the 88 pair of ogs to see how they matched up with the reimagined & I knew they were close but I’m impressed with JB.. they got the shape right, elephant print is nice & new, ankle padding is thin, I’m loving the new pair better than the ogs cuz they’re just fresh with a similar look. Can’t say that about the l&f 1s

The padding on the 2023, non existent.
i didn't realize it until i saw them next to each other in this video but they aged the wrong part on the 2023 pair lol. on the older pairs the part of the sole around the toe is more yellow than the mid sole but on the 2023 pair the mid sole is yellow and the toe part is completely white. my older pairs are all like that too.

Have you thought that perhaps the "Elephant print" is just like a fingerprint, as there are never two that are alike? Likewise, one will never find two elephants with the same skin. So, is that a difference or part of the uniqueness of differing characteristics?
That is true. I believe they have a roll of elephant print materials and it should be that but also I believe shoes were from different factories.

Might be a factory issue but you should be fine if it’s from Finishline really. You can always bring it back to exchange.

Some of those 2018 pairs look like clown shoes. 🍌 At least my BC3s from 2018 have a pretty decent cut of elephant print on the toe box, had to go through a few pairs in stores while they were sitting to get em.

height and thinness definitely has to do with aging. used up liner and used up tech.
Good observation. Most of these pairs (excluding the og 1988 pair) have been casually worn.
If you weren't around wearing a pair of original OGs than don't even compare or even complain about Nike. Because Nike Air is the best. No matter what. Even retro 3s were JBs.
