In Flames is definitely my favourite band. I love both the old and the new stuff. If i could recommend 3 songs they would be "Jotun", "Embody The Insivible" and "Ordinary Story".

Colony is my favorite followed by The Jester Race, Clayman, Come Clarity and Soundtrack to Your Escape (not in particular order..) Reroute to Remain and Sounds of a Playground Fading were rather good too. The three latest... Not really that good when you compare them to their earlier stuff...

In Flames - My Sweet Shadow My favourite song from them. They had quite the development in their sound. From Melodic Death Metal in the early years, kinda "core-like" in between to the Modern Metal, we hear from them today. I love everything from them and surely one of my favourite bands. Fun fact: I saw them 2 years ago the last time at a festival. I went ham and was headbanging throughout the whole set so hard, that my neck muscles gave up on me after that. I had to hold my head for the next 10-15 minutes, so that it doesn't just fall to the sides. 😂 Was totally worth it and that's how much I love IF.

In Flames was one of the bands I was "afraid of" as a kid. But I'm so glad I took myself from the neck and just listened to them. BTW a suggestion: Before the Dawn - Deadsong.
This is the song they play to close out their live shows most of the time. I think only 1 of the 5 or 6 times I've seen them, they didn't close on this. Glad you enjoy it! Check out I Am Above.
I remember listening to this on a Headbangers Ball soundtrack in High School. Always a good time with In Flames, they have a very distinct sound that is theirs alone, which I really appreciate.
One of my all time favorite concert moments was seeing them play this live soon after they released it. I was deep in the pit, the light show was nuts, and the chorus just hit. Such a soaring/hooky/melodic chorus, crowd went crazy! These guys are great live!!

I don't know why "Swim" is so overlooked by so many. It has one of the best riffs on Clayman. I wish more would react to that song.

The Agony Scene - Prey / or Suffer
I promise you won't regret it. Prey is a good introduction but suffer is heavier and the screams are brutal
