She Gone…

Temperature dropped to -16 celsius (3.2 fahrenheit) on this backcountry ski touring adventure into the mountains. It was crisp but my trusty MSR Fusion 2 tent kept me toasty overnight. The stars were incredible again, captured on time lapse in film. Sunrise was beautiful with spectacular light. Follow along on this adventure for fails, winter camping tips and tricks, and laughs.

I'm very sorry to see you lost your tent. Given how much high country winter skiing/trekking you are doing, you should consider a used Hilleberg 4 season tent. I definitely love mine. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for watching and the Hilleberg tip. What do you like about the Hilleberg tents? Where can one find used ones to purchase? I looked at the Hilleberg tents online the last few days. They do sound like a solid lightweight 4 season tent. My wife and I ordered the Mountain Hardware Outpost 2 as it’s currently on sale, similar to our former MSR Fusion 2, fairly lightweight and compact, 2 vestibules and should handle most of the adventures. Maybe one day I can look more seriously at the Hilleberg line.
