I've just changed from Photoshop/Illustrator to AD. This was extremely beneficial information. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Good luck with the transition. If you need further help with learning Affinity I have several courses linked in the description.
I’m glad you are using that mic. It sounds great.
Yeah audio is always a bit tricky in a space like mine, need to figure out a better setup for my main talking head shot. Glad this one sounded good
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you!!!
You're welcome!
Affinity is a crazy software
I love it
Yeah it is great
I have that VW T2 right above your head 😀
Hi, thanks for your video. Do you know if you can you run Affinity on MacOS 10.13? or older OS10.6?
Looks like it can go back as far as 10.9 affinity.serif.com/en-us/designer/full-feature-list/
Is is possible to copy the individual contents of a layer in an .ai file - say, simple stoke and fill elements, and paste them into a layer in Affinity Design, rather than trying to convert or open an entire .ai file?
Thank you, I guess the thing to do is to buy AD and get a trial subscription to AI once I'm ready to get started, then save all my AI files in a compatible format.
Yeah that could work as long as you don't have Ai files with to many of these problematic features. You can also find a library or university that has creative cloud access and convert your files there depending on where you live.
Hey ben..
Some of the effects i use in AD...got corrupted if i open in illustrator...
That's not surprising, effects seem to be the most finicky and Illustrator lacks Affinity's raster capabilities.
I imagine linked images can also pose an issue 🤔
i can't open. using version 2. only empty white page opens up.
Which type of file are you using. Mine appears to be working the same in V2
Thanks!
Thank you! Glad I could help
What happens when you open a file you’ve saved as a .png?
Nothing, it's just a png in either program
Im VERY surprised they never made a more elegant migration tool
It's actually improved now in Affinity 2, this video is a bit out of date
