      After you have taken the top deck off like this video you can follow this other one here th-cam.com/video/tpJ5bDDpKkA/w-d-xo.html on how to take the bowl out to clean it. Once it is clean if you do a hot wash every few months it helps reduce soap scum buildup

    We had a mouse in our machine! Thank you for your clear demonstration. We ended up taking our machine apart because we leave our lid up to dry and a mouse chewed the edge of the plastic rim and had gotten inside the machine! It was confirmed that the mouse was still in there by filling with some cold water which caused the drum to move noticeably a couple of times. I then drained the water out using the spin cycle to pump out and stopped before it actually started to spin. We then fed a rope in to between the bowl and the outer casing (left for a few hours in the dark) to help the mouse get back out. Then we moved the rope to between the bowl and the drum (with lights out overnight) in case it was stuck there. The next morning we took the drum out to check it was not still there - thankfully the mouse did get out. We have seen some gruesome video's where people found mouse carcasses/bones. :( Then we took the opportunity to give everything a thorough clean :)

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've found all sorts of things but a mouse actually inside the drum would be a first! If you overload the machine a bit the plastic neck ring at the top can get worn, but then it will usually look a bit melted and have black marks.

    • @wendyisgrowinginwisdom6350
      @wendyisgrowinginwisdom6350 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motrepairs there were chew marks and small bits of plastic. Also there was a collection of wadding stuck in the rim and we found more under the machine - presumably it was preparing to nest inside the washing machine (not the drum).

      To stop that you could close the laundry door before and after you Hang the washing out so then no mouses will cause the problem you just had while you hang the washing out or you could leave it open for a few hours and then close the lid whatever works easier for you

    I have water leaking around inlet valves for Fisher&paykel cleansmart, so I need to change the valves and how to do it .thanks

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be a bit unusual for the valves for a machine that young to be leaking from the valves, can you see where exactly it is coming from? Things to check would be the hose washers and temp sensor seal. Unusual for the plastic valve housing themselves to be leaking.

    great video
    Are you able to let me know how to remove the low profile agitator for this machine

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a bolt down through the centre same as the agitators, difference is it has a square plastic cap on it, just turn the cap to unscrew and it will bring the bolt with it. Normal thread so counter-clockwise to remove. You need a large spanner or multigrip pliers. Best to wrap it in a rag so the jaws don't mark the plastic (although it wont affect the operation if you do scratch the plastic)

    Thanks for the video. I have a wl1068p1, and at the 30 min mark of a normal cycle it starts to shake violently, im talking earthquake style, and then it says out of balance.. is this something a layman like myself can fix? • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You may need new set of suspensions rods, but if the holes in the inner bowl get gunked up on the outside of the inner bowl, or if some of the water in the plastic neck ring at the top has leaked out if will also cause the problem.

    • @malakies999
      @malakies999 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motrepairs Thanks.. i have opened it up.. and the bowl is practically leaning on the edge.. is the role of the "suspension rods" to keep the bowl in the middle.. if yes, then it really looks like the rods are shot! If I physically lift the machine from the control panel, then I can see (obviously) the tub move towards the other side - which I feel is what the machine needs.. the question is, what keeps the machine centred? When flat/level, and I just pull the tub to the other side, it whips back to essentially lean on the control panel side.. it feels like it needs another bias spring on the opposite side to pull it back in the centre.. but I have no idea what actually keeps it centred. Thanks

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@malakies999 If the machine is level is should sit central. There is a bias spring, connected to neck ring at the top and left front suspension rod to bias bowl slightly. If the bowl is obviously off centre even when level then it probably is worn out suspension.

    Hi there. I noticed my drainage hose doesn’t sit like that. Is that an issue and could that be why my machine doesn’t drain 100%? Please help. Dirty water is coming out of the detergent water part like literally washing my clothes in dirty water.

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How does your drainage hose sit? If you have dirty water on fill it may be something growing in the hoses to the machine(very rare) or something wrong with the water from your tap, is it normally clean from the tap?

    Hi, I have this model and I need to drain my machine manually as it's power cut out mid cycle. I've disconnected the hoses and removed the drain pump and a lot of water was drained but I can still hear lots of water inside. How do I get this water out? Where would this water be if I already drained the hoses? I've tried turning it upside down but that didn't work.

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is always a little water in the top balance ring on the bowl, you might be hearing that? If there is still a lot of water in the bottom then there is probably a blockage in the pump trap, in which case you will need to take the agitator and inner bowl out and just manually bail it with a jug or ice cream container or something.

    Can you please do a video on getting the drum out of a F&P front loader. I’ve just had to buy one as a top loader doesn’t fit at my new place.

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you can't remove drums in a front loader yourself, but the advantage of front loaders is they heat their own water, (and use so little water it won't hit your power bill the same way as hot wash in a top loader will). So best thing is to always do washes at least 30 degrees, and run a hot 90deg wash through (or tub clean if your model has it) every few months.

    I have a F&P 8.5kg machine model WA8560G2. It looks like the lid is hinged from the side into the top case. It looks like I do t need to remove the lid to remove the top case. Is that your experience as well?
    Thanks for the great vids

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Technically no you don't but it is easier to. On the older models If you want to remove the top deck entirely (rather then just pivot it back) you will need to disconnect the wiring from the controller, and to get the display off to disconnect the wiring you will need the lid off. On this series there is a spring in the lid to reduce its open weight, and if you lean the top deck back with the lid still on the spring will make lid sit open and usually is a pain. Its quite easy to remove when you know how so I usually recommend this way.

      It wont be the bands unless they are broken, but if the suspension damping has worn out so the suspension is too bouncy then it will go out of balance easily. I haven't done a video on that yet but you do them one at a time from the top.

      Just managed to pull my machine apart today. It doesn't have rubber bands and although my model is different once the top cabinet is removed it is the same underneath.
      I also couldn't remove my lid?
      I removed the screws but it was still stuck on the springs for some reason? I didn't want to force anything. So instead I used some masking tape to hold the lid down so that it didn't move while the top cover was raised.

    • @motrepairs
      @motrepairs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it goes out of balance even when the washing is pretty even then it is usually worn out suspension rods. The dampening part of them wears out so even a slightly unbalanced load will bounce around. If it goes out of balance even when there is no washing in it then it can be if water has leaked out of the balance ring on the inner bowl.
