I enjoyed the heck out of running Dark Heresy back in the day. Thanks to Mike and Kate Flack for that. I always thought there was a Cthulhu influence in Dark Heresy and now I know why.
This sounds amazing and I know my players would love it! I'd personally prefer a gritty lo-fi setting along the lines of Alien or Expanse, or perhaps Firefly for a Pulp setting. A future Cthulhu setting based in a 'Dark Forest' universe would be ideal!
Mi-go need no pressure suit..... players do. I remember that Scenario, it was in the magazine White Dwarf long before Warhammer destroyed the publication and turned to their mouth piece.
I was just thinking the other day how much something with the vibe of Event Horizon would make a great scenario for Call of Cthuhlu and was considering making my own up... definitely would love to see some sci-fi stuff in print from Chaosium in the future.
I subbed a whole list of games in 92. Most were ignored, but I got a response on Stars Gone Wrong, a post Cthulhu holocaust setting, but was told that post society future horror was not on the philosophical plate for Chaosium, as the possibility was considered unrealistic. Has this changed? Might I update a 30 year old pitch to show the columnation of human hubris and a partial stellar alignment that only half manifested? Love the new RQ. Best to yall and your growth!
I believe I speak for more people than just myself when I say this, but is there a place where a i can check out the roadmap of upcoming call of cthulhu products? I would like to know how close "cthulhu by gaslight" and other future releases like an end times setting book, are to release.
It's not a very big stretch considering that we have the Mass Effect games which basically are CoC in space, and the movie Event Horizon which is VERY Lovecraftian
Using Shoggoth Material as a power source is not the answer for FTL travel problem... it will get out, it will destroy/copy and replace your civilisation..... ask the Old Ones.
I've been wanting an official future/space setting for years! Very excited.

I’m very excited about a future/space/sci-fi setting for Call of Cthulhu. Can’t wait to see how it pans out.
Cthulhu in Space .... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! That's great!

I think CthulhuTech would be a good inspiration for your own take on Cthulhu in space!

At last. We will see 🧐
Cthulhu + Alien!
