    I just bought a 2023 Silverado last week. I've got about 500 miles on it so far and the driver seat just started wobbling. It's just enough to be irritating. I appreciate the easy fix, so kudos to you guys. It's really shameful that GM hasn't corrected the design by now.

      Glad we can help you out. If it continues or you have any other trouble we have another fix that works just as well. We've linked that video here for you: th-cam.com/video/0YywduV5Udo/w-d-xo.html

    This is crazy. I was quoted 175 to fix this at stealership. Said they needed to take seat apart. I knew it was easy from the vid u mentioned. U made it easier thanks. 5 bucks for my part. Now to tackle it.

      Hey Chad! Glad you found the video. $175.00 is absolutely unbelievable. Also, this fix doesn't always work. We are going to make a new video about a sure fix. Keep your eyes open for that soon. In the meantime pop that part on and let us know how it goes for you.

      @@TheBrothersWorkshop Funny thing. After I commented. Looked under the seat. They already had a retainer in there. So they never fixed it with the retainer. Still shifts. Can’t wait till you post that video now. Tnx for reply.

      We're currently putting the fix through the ringer to make sure there are no more issues. Hopefully everything stays secure and we can start film/editing the video this coming week. Cross my fingers two weeks the video will be live. 🤞

    thanks for the tip... i installed it and it was "tight" for a day but there is still some 'play' and i can feel it when i turn say at a red light left or right.. that 'click' feel'..... so i will probably put some rubber tubing and hose clamps around the white thing.. but THANK YOU for the tip.

    This brings back the time I test drove a 99 Silverado LT at a dealer lot and the driver seat moved up and back because of this same issue I never bought the truck but I’m sure it would have been an easy fix that was back when I was 16 or 17 I’m now 22 lol. They wanted $5500 for that truck I’m like there is no way lol

    • @TheBrothersWorkshop
      @TheBrothersWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This issue is a lateral movement, but definitely a similar issue.

  • @Bigbubbaboe
    @Bigbubbaboe 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    My seat dose not exactly move but it is the slightest of a click something like that on almost every turn, could this be the same thing

    • @TheBrothersWorkshop
      @TheBrothersWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It could possibly be the same thing. I got a slight click but obvious movement.

  • @6to8john
    @6to8john ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This seat moving, is it associated with a clicking type noise? I feel like I’m experiencing the same thing with my 2014 Silverado.

    • @TheBrothersWorkshop
      @TheBrothersWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, this issue has been know to be associated with the clicking noise.

      I believe this same part is used in multiple different vehicle platforms. Depending upon the vehicle you have, you'll need to make the trim I described.

    • @TheBrothersWorkshop
      @TheBrothersWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's most likely the fix you need. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work. We are in the process of some R&D right now. We should have another video out soon with a DIY solution that will fix it for good.

    The link states this part does not fit a 2018 Silverado

    • @TheBrothersWorkshop
      @TheBrothersWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The retainer should fit a 2018 Silverado/Seirra if the underside of the seat matches the one seen in the video. You can pick this part up at your local GM dealer. Remember, this part is not necessarily for these trucks. That is why the GM bulletin requires you to trim the part.
