I died when Ralph criticized the colors going outside the lines. It’s not so much lazy as it is a dollar-store rocky & bullwinkle. Look at the backgrounds in 101 dalmations or foster’s home, they do the same thing. I’m not even mad at that shot of the castle. For a straight-to-DVD bootleg, it’s pretty top-tier, I’d say. At least visually. Even the jokes were actually jokes. Still there’s plenty to criticize, I’m willing to bet the movement was done through flash/puppet rigging-which is great if your goal is to make whatever as cheaply as possible, aesthetics/quality be damned.
"Two against one? That's not very fair. You might want one or two more on your side!" That was actually a pretty decent line, if only the acting was actually competent
The idea behind the line was good, but it was terribly written. "You might want one or two more on your side" is just a clumsy and not very snappy or effective way of delivering that idea.
Yah he seems like a nice guy but this is clearly not his forte when it comes to movie coverage lol. The best part about Dreamworks having as many successful and popular franchises as it does is that it makes it even less common to see knockoffs of some of their more underrated movies. I can’t wait to see such amazing films as Bigbrain, the Brek franchise, Down the Toilet, and my personal favorite, The Journey to El Durrdedurr.
The main character of Ratatoing is the voice actor who did the english dub voices for Joey Wheeler and Syrus Truesdale. A man who had roles for two fairly okay characters in the yugioh franchise took part in a project that was this shit. The main character Yugi from the original series. His VA was ALSO in this movie. What the fuck. How did they get Dan Green to work on this!?
weirdly enough i got a 5 minute ad about an animation school and it looked so much better than everything in this video i actually sat thru it to cleanse my brain
Probably being nitpicky, but that coloring style in Puss in Boots is definitely done on purpose. It looks like they tried to make a cheap version of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Yeah I didn't understand the distaste on that aspect either. I think it was deliberate. The coloring and art look fine if you watched older cartoons. The Puss movie just looks like a Rocky and Bullwinkle short, shot only from the waist up.
Yeah; my thoughts immediately went to Fractured Fairy Tales (which was a segment that was part of Rocky and Bullwinkle that is exactly what it sounds like).
What's weird is that I think I'm about his age. I saw the live action Rocky and Bullwinkle movie on TV as a kid and asked for more from my parents. I think they managed to find a VHS with a few episodes somewhere. Something about Bullwinkle becoming an artist, but I think all he did was paint white canvases.
wtf, am i hearing the sonic 4kids voice cast for that Ratatouille rip off one? the pink mouse has the same voice as amy rose voice actor, the green one with mickey hat is clearly voiced by mike pollock and im pretty sure one of the extras is voiced by frkkn dan green

Cinematic brilliants." "And He will hand you a Check when you leave which is why many people will work with him." "He cast me in this, and i wasn't very picky, i knew that i would leave with money." The colour going over the lines in the puss in boots cartoon triggered a wave of nostalgia in me. The entire thing is very, very reminiscent of old french cartoons (think Pink Panther) The human characters and the colour going over the lines are very typical of that era of french animation. Maybe it was an hommage? Still looks like shit, but they got the general feel of it down.
@@foursidekm Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. It doesn't look great, but the feel of it is quite nice. With better designs and animation, it would have been boring, but quite charming!

Is no one going to comment on the fact that they managed to get Yu-Gi-Oh voice actors for Ratatoing? Dan Green, the voice actor for Syrus, Tea, I'm pretty sure the Bonaparte/Princeton brothers voice actor is there somewhere too. Half expecting them all to start dueling any minute. Edit - I am almost certain that Amy Rose’s voice actor plays a role in Little & Big Monsters, as does the voice actor for Dr. Eggman. He voices the scientist. I don’t understand it
Actually it's because in portuguese the titles are more close to their original version, they just put the original names in diminutive. For instance Pixar 'Cars' is named 'Carros' around here so the bootleg/Video Brinquedo version put the name 'Carrinhos/Little Cars' as a way to get close to the original title as possible.

Look at the backgrounds in 101 dalmations or foster’s home, they do the same thing. I’m not even mad at that shot of the castle. For a straight-to-DVD bootleg, it’s pretty top-tier, I’d say. At least visually. Even the jokes were actually jokes.
Still there’s plenty to criticize, I’m willing to bet the movement was done through flash/puppet rigging-which is great if your goal is to make whatever as cheaply as possible, aesthetics/quality be damned.
ralph isnt very bright, if that wasnt obvious already
@@punchy207yeah I noticed 😅
"Two against one? That's not very fair. You might want one or two more on your side!"
That was actually a pretty decent line, if only the acting was actually competent
The French line was kinda funny.
The mice and cat both seemed to have good voice actors, just bad acting/lines.
I imagine that joke working in an actual competent film
j.w. terry is actually a great voice actor imo, he just wasn’t given very good material to work with
The idea behind the line was good, but it was terribly written. "You might want one or two more on your side" is just a clumsy and not very snappy or effective way of delivering that idea.
That crystal quality of Chris yelling is amazing
Poor chris is breaking down, i hope you didn’t break him.

Yah he seems like a nice guy but this is clearly not his forte when it comes to movie coverage lol. Funnily enough I thought most of his original reaction clips were funnier than the scripted stuff in his segement. I almost think he should've just made his whole segment clips of his original reactions
He got the shortest one.
Chuck Batman5 he has really good video’s...this movie was just too much for him lol
Chuck Batman5 I thought the scripted was kinda funny.

The best part about Dreamworks having as many successful and popular franchises as it does is that it makes it even less common to see knockoffs of some of their more underrated movies. Fun fact
The voice actor for greg in Ratatoing was also a side character in the Kirby anime
Nothing quite like messing up somebodys reputation
The main character of Ratatoing is the voice actor who did the english dub voices for Joey Wheeler and Syrus Truesdale. A man who had roles for two fairly okay characters in the yugioh franchise took part in a project that was this shit.
The main character Yugi from the original series. His VA was ALSO in this movie. What the fuck. How did they get Dan Green to work on this!?

That beginning is totally stolen from Fractured Fairy Tales by Rocky and Bullwinkle
The reviewer is too young to recognize Jay Ward cartoons, or art styles.
When Chris is doing his ant impressions, I like to imagine his wife walking by the door and being like “WTF?” and then shrugging and walking away. 🤣

I think the voice of eggman is one of the scientists in the monsters movie too!
They certainly had a lot of Guts... or at least a cameo by Marc Diraison.
Mike Pollock seems to show up in Vídeo Brinquedo movies weirdly often.
Someone ask that Mike Pollock , and he answered in a interview. Pretty much:
"There's a particular gentleman in the new york area who specialises in cranking out Dubs of... these... pieces of... Cinematic brilliants."
"And He will hand you a Check when you leave which is why many people will work with him."
"He cast me in this, and i wasn't very picky, i knew that i would leave with money."
"And it's unlikely that anyone would see it, except I did see a copy at a bookstore and bought it because it was there."
"I have no regrets."

The colour going over the lines in the puss in boots cartoon triggered a wave of nostalgia in me. The entire thing is very, very reminiscent of old french cartoons (think Pink Panther)
The human characters and the colour going over the lines are very typical of that era of french animation. Maybe it was an hommage? Still looks like shit, but they got the general feel of it down.
reminds me of Total Drama and Nature Cat but with a lower budget
I think the artstyle itself looks great tbh. It's just the animation that's kinda shitty
@@foursidekm Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. It doesn't look great, but the feel of it is quite nice. With better designs and animation, it would have been boring, but quite charming!
They remind me of Little Golden Books I had as a kid. As in, the ones my father read when he was single digits old. They looked cheap, but had a certain charm to them.

54:20 You think they add the word *"little"* in their titles because that's how much time and effort they put into their movies?
Oh, sorry, I meant *visual and auditive distraction*
Actually it's because in portuguese the titles are more close to their original version, they just put the original names in diminutive. For instance Pixar 'Cars' is named 'Carros' around here so the bootleg/Video Brinquedo version put the name 'Carrinhos/Little Cars' as a way to get close to the original title as possible.
