Watching these videos is really amusing to me because here in Nicaragua, well, let's just say you make beehives out of whatever you can find, which is often somebody's trash. Usually people with regular honeybees use more properly built hives but the people who keep stingless bees usually just make hives out of random stuff, tree trunks; old furniture, etc. They don't even use screws in most cases, just nails or even string. They often rely on the bees to actually glue everything together and give the hive its "final" structure

      Reminds me on
70s ... times when group of local kids used to put 4 bricks in the parkong lot , small quiate street
... or an abandoned block of land ... 4 bricks 1 ball ...
... barefoot, or few simple things ... and ...
play SOCERO for months and years... That was an "*ENDLES SUMMER " ... Times flies somhow nearby ... and ... suddenly
HERE WE ARE... few decades later - kids walking like Zombies in 1000$ gear - barely able to walk properly ...as they already have diabetes and spend 2h/ weeks outdoors. ... Of cours acompanied 24/7 ... with 2 tonne 4WD motorised mother
and her 6V " green"- angine
She observes dramaticaly and films relentlessly her future Socero STAR ... and puts every step onto Her SOCIAL Chanal. ...
      Then I just
hit myself a a strong slap
as a local mosquito wakes me up...
      ...uh... Lucky.me !!! .... THIS Was just a bad dream... I am still in 70s ... and kicking !

Good on you Doug. You're a legend! Do you know if these style of hives will work in Victoria? I know we won't get honey but I want to help the Bees anyway.
