Considering how bad right now is Foxhound in terms of clans of the same side killing each other just for getting resources, I fear a lot with this game´s "future".
A lot will depend on how many resource nodes vs how many people there are I think. In Foxhole the amount of resoruce fields is very limited, in anvil right now a lot of resoruces in a sense are abundant. But Anvil of course is still heavily under developement, so in that sense it's just a wating game. Waiting and seeing how thigns turn out
Crows definitely have a steep learning curve, but you get used to it. You learn how to avoid aggroing them in the first place, how to effectively use your sprint to get away from them, how to use terrain such as trees or rocks to block them from hitting you, how to fight back and cause them to flee, etc. There is a lot you can do to avoid being at the mercy of crows, even as a low food naked. I have 250+ hours and while I still die to crows occasionally, they are not at all rage inducing any more. If crows were really the only reason you quit, I would encourage you to come back and continue testing, the game is fun!
This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home, this little piggy had Freerk Holtes, and this little piggy had none.

Another 10/10 guide. I'll be linking to it on the Getting Started wiki page.
Let's hope it stays relevant and not too much changes between now and the next test

@@angrydoggo7160 it's the basic version of Foxhole if you've seen that
Nonstop getting 1 hit by Crows that made me stop testing out this game's Pre-Alpha, Obnoxious AF and ridiculous
It is pre-alpha for a reason, but I do agree. The crows are pain
