Hello miss debbie manners and respect..made this and it was delish..everyone give miss debbie a big thumbs up...you are the realist person..nuff love from canada
Miss Debbie, thank you for brining me to your kitchen! I'm coming all the way from Canada, and I can't wait to try out what you've taught me. My son and Husband love saltfish, and I tried to make saltfish rundown for them once before. Let me tell you, my attempt did not run, it barely even walked! I know this next time I make it, I can do justice to the dish and the ingredients, thanks to you.
Wow! Nice I love this! I’m going to try this. In Grenada they make something similar called oil dung with ground provision. Love that too! I’m Jamaican so this is my love, run dung!
I was thinking about trying saltfish rundung but I was unsure because I have never seen anyone do it before so I went on youtube and type it in and it come up and I tried the recipe man it was so nice I am now cooking it again it baaaaaddd😍. Thanks for the video
Yes, I understand Debbie. In my home I would say flaking the fish. In St Lucia my mum use salt Mackerel. Not everyone would like it, but I like sliced tomato, cucumber and shredded iceberg lettuce as a side salad, with fried plantain yam or nice breadfruit.
My kind of provision yea mon just last week I felt for run-dung/mackerel and of course I got home from work and off I went in my kitchen and make me my authentic Caribbean ting. Omg it was to die for I even lick the dish with my finger yea mon 😆
Ooooh!!! Miss Debbie what can I say or do, but drooool. It’s midnight in 🇨🇦 I’m in bed and feeling quite hungry now. Definitely on the must try list. TFS💕💕💕
hello my firend😊Going to make this later and I came on here to refreash my memory of how to make it because I haven't made it for soooo long😊 thank you
Aunty deddy you dont have to boil the saltfish three times when that thick saltfish boil for about five minutes use a fork and open up the thick part continue boiling the saltfish for another ten minutes then pick up the saltfish then put it to.soak i bery hot water this way you save on gas aunty debby
Thank you so much I finally know the way to cook my it my run done in Jamaica .I always hear about this run-down and I have never been tasting it befor . but now I watch this video i'm sure know that I will be able to prepare my own rundown
Lol I just told my friend the same thing, that I've always disliked the look and was turned off by the coconut or custard look but I have now changed my mind.
Bwoy this is one of my favorites because I don't eat mackerel. You also have chocolate tea; it's close to midnight. I can eat some now. Packing my grip💼🇯🇲😁
So auntie I used to sauté the seasoning and greens then drop the fish in then the codfish. I saw others on TH-cam put all the ingredients in the full milk and wait for it to reduce. I see with you they you reduce milk first and foremost then fish first? The seasonings and greens. It looks so right. It so much the custard I saw when I was a kid. I’m wondering if the Can coconut milk (all I have access to) has less oil and way tooo much water
I love that you say, “Hello family,” and you make me feel like I’m right there with you in your kitchen. Well, “Hello family,” right back to you. You’re part of mine as well.
