Adam nice addition with the tubes. Noticed that you had to hold the cap back while trying to push in waste hose in initial. Might design a cap retainer like what is used on a car gas cap to hold it back might be beneficial. Enjoy watching.
One other tip. To make it easier to find the right spot to place the lid before twisting closed, I inserted the lid in the spot that it goes before twisting closed, and put a small white spot on the lid and tube. It makes it so easy to get the lid back in quickly. Abom is right, the lids can be a pain to get back in just right so they twist and engage the retainers. The alignment spots make it easy.
My TT has 2 Black tanks so I installed 3 of these to be able to carry plenty of hose. Easy install and durable. The lids can pop off if you aren't attentive when putting them on. I put small carabiners in the latch holes after the lids were on and twisted in place. Did save me from losing a lid once when I didn't pay attention putting the lid on. They will hold one long hose or 2 shorter ones snapped together. If you try to pussh more into them the lid will pop off the other side so keep that in mind. These work very well and are worth every penny
Another amazing install! Oh, we're gonna put these sewer connections under the camper where nobody will ever see them. And of course, locate them within +/- .010 🤣
It's not surprising that you are modifying your trailer to your needs. I wonder though, when you eventually get it exactly right, you'll be thinking about buying a new one. 😁
I wouldn't be in a hurry to replace something that is tailored to the owners needs, regardless of age. New anything in this market is over priced and just another project to customize to ones needs.
Right about the time I was watching you drill that first hole I’m thinking man, everything about RVs seems so crude and imprecise to me, I can only imagine what a machinist thinks about it…then you said it!
Well done. Great idea and its truly amazing that any manufacturer doesn't do the same as base equipment. It makes so much sense...you wonder why they don't do the same when they are built. Same with the storage bins you will install...seems to be a fair idea to include them as standard equipment as the value is extremely high for the cost.
Just put one on my trailer. I used jackstands to hold the tube up. Hot that hint for another you tuber. I also zip tied the none opening end. My sewer hose is 20 ft and had a little trouble making it fit. I had to open the plug on the end of the to let air out.I also used blue lock tight on the screws. When you use the bumper for hose storage put some stainless steel screws in the end caps. This way your hose wont come out and wave at people.
Awesome. Wished I’d have seen them sooner! I retired from tank truck driving and had two custom cut with hose doors out of aluminum 32” long, I put two spare 10 footers in them. I polished them out so they look good sitting under the rear of the motorhome. Costed me way more but I really like and wished I’d seen the Valletta set up you got. Oh well day late and dollar short. 😂Great idea ya got.
My bumper storage is leaving rust on the outside of the hose. I want this plastic tube to prevent the hose from getting worn through. Great vid Adam n Amy!
Our 5th wheel came with a half version of that but as you said 1 hose isn’t enough so we added that same mod and are able to keep 2 hoses connected together in 1 tube. That gives us 3 total hoses in the tubes. Great storage. Great install.
I see the hoses scattered all over the interstates. You might want to check out the Minimizer underbody tool boxes that varies in 18", 24", 36" and 50" and they have multiple colors
Try some POR 15 on the frame! I see rust happening already, Mr Adam. The POR15 stuff is awesome! We use it on our stuff here in Alaska. My four wheeler is 10 years old and not a lick of rust!
Great job Adam & Abby, looking forward to the 3rd long haul, Love your new shop and the equipment installed, What's happening with your property build any update with that,?
Great video. Question: since the brackets come off the tubes, what secures the tube to the brackets so they do not fall off going down the bumpy roads of America?
I have one from the factory on my 5th wheel plan on adding another one. My question with being expandable is there sag in the middle of the tubes iv seen a couple reviews saying they tend to sag? Also do hoses catch on the lip where telescoping portion of the tube is?
FYI there is standard storage for the sewer hoses watch the video. The rear square bumper rubber end cap has a hole in it that allows storage for sewer hose.
Who would steal a sewage hose? Someone that lost theirs and doesn't want to pay for a new one, that's who. Plastic brackets, how long before those crack? Or how long before Adam fires up the CNC and makes new aluminum necessarily over-engineered brackets?
I respectfully member of the rv’ing and camping community would never steel something from another rv’er. Not saying it wouldn’t happen, just not likely. I think your more likely to encounter people who’d rather vandalize your stuff. I doubt anyone who is storing their sewer hoses outside has had to deal with them being stolen.
I am not liking the use of the self tapping bolts. I drive a semi truck… I know what kind of vibration the road puts on stuff. Then you added washers and that gives you less bite. Thru holes with Stainless bolts and lock nuts is how I like to do things like this.
ya know some one was going to say it so i will..that looks like a real crappy job ..but some one has to do it..lmao. ! nice job i was jst shooting the well you know !
I got this as a gift and I'm waiting for nicer weather to install it. Having watched a number of installation videos it seems everyone is down on their knees crawling under the camper just to put the hose in or take it out. Ending to the frame takes away a foot or so of storage and makes it hard to reach. I'm looking into making a brace that will allow the opening to be out to the side just as my dump connector is located. I have the one that extends to 94" so it should work at least for the one side I will be accessing the hoses from. Has anyone made any such modifications?
Abby says things like “yay“ and “good job”.
My wife says “are you done yet” 😂😂
You sir have an amazing wife. She super happy, supportive, and encouraging. We could all use more women like this in our lives.
Adam nice addition with the tubes. Noticed that you had to hold the cap back while trying to push in waste hose in initial. Might design a cap retainer like what is used on a car gas cap to hold it back might be beneficial. Enjoy watching.
That’s pretty cool! I always have to stop and smack my bumper caps back in every few hundred miles.

Great idea to use extra piece as a template. Also used the washers. Thanks for the good tips.
0:59 - small carabiner to hold it works great too.
Great addition to the camper!
Another amazing install! Oh, we're gonna put these sewer connections under the camper where nobody will ever see them. And of course, locate them within +/- .010 🤣
I used stainless steel bolts, lock washer & nuts versus screws to ensure it stays put going down bumpy roads and highway overtime.
It's not surprising that you are modifying your trailer to your needs. I wonder though, when you eventually get it exactly right, you'll be thinking about buying a new one. 😁
Nothing it ever exactly right. There's always improvements and mods to be made to make it your own, same with anything else as well.
I wouldn't be in a hurry to replace something that is tailored to the owners needs, regardless of age. New anything in this market is over priced and just another project to customize to ones needs.

Well done Adam!! Can't wait to see those under storage boxes!!

I was thinking of you with all the rain heading your way. I love the mod too
I purchased one for my fifth wheel after I seen your video thank you sir!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. Keep up the great videos

Funny you said a lock. I put a luggage lock on mine because I could not think of something to keep mine closed.😅😂😂😂
It’s looking great 👍 I believe next summer I will be remodeling my RV bathroom!
Love this series!
A beer always tastes good after a Rv project completed.
Thank you, it was nicely done. I need to do the same thing. For me being a newbie, lots to do
First one and I know I will like it. :)
good job
Nice job.
I see the hoses scattered all over the interstates.
You might want to check out the Minimizer underbody tool boxes that varies in 18", 24", 36" and 50" and they have multiple colors
Better storage =. Motorhome and stacker trailer.. :)
I will get my hose storage soon thank you
Need a place to store a hose spreader as well.
Try some POR 15 on the frame!
I see rust happening already, Mr Adam.

I do miss a lot about RV life... dealing with our sh*t certainly wasn't one of them.
(Okay, it wasn't that bad, but I couldn't resist the dad joke)
Great video. Question: since the brackets come off the tubes, what secures the tube to the brackets so they do not fall off going down the bumpy roads of America?
or you can use the tubes to store the Fosters beer large cans !!
Might be fun cracking a can open after a long haul 😄
They are above the trailer drains so they better clear! You have bigger problems if those hit, which they won’t.
why when you hear RV and Sewage line... I can hear Randy Quaid holler "Sh*Tters full"
I put my hose in the bumper, that will be good for extra hose's.
I have one from the factory on my 5th wheel plan on adding another one. My question with being expandable is there sag in the middle of the tubes iv seen a couple reviews saying they tend to sag? Also do hoses catch on the lip where telescoping portion of the tube is?
I like your knee pad, where did you get it
Should be standard equipment from the factory... 🙂
FYI there is standard storage for the sewer hoses watch the video. The rear square bumper rubber end cap has a hole in it that allows storage for sewer hose.
@@michaelbrowne8068 It's not big enough for most hose needs in campsites.
thanks
Thanks for sharing the install. Are you wearing a Luminox?
Where can I find your underbelly storage?
Who would steal a sewage hose? Someone that lost theirs and doesn't want to pay for a new one, that's who.

I just put one of those spring loaded fake snakes in the pipes to scare thieves
Great job. How long were the 2 hose that you put in the tube?
How long were the two drain lines you installed in one of the carriers?
👍 Thanks

Hey where did you get that clamp you were using?
ya know some one was going to say it so i will..that looks like a real crappy job ..but some one has to do it..lmao. ! nice job i was jst shooting the well you know !
Replace those screws with SS so no corrosion sets in
nice job but I also see they haven't replied to one question people have asked..Sad really.
Thought the stinky slinky went in the bumpers
If you watched the video you would have seen that I mentioned you can also store them in the bumper and that I have one in it.
@@AbomAdventures A few of the viewers missed that completely. "Pay attention class"
Many of the new heavy duty sewer hoses will not fit into the standard 4" RV bumper.

In answer to my own question, using the supplied extra braces I was able to extend the ends even with the outsides of the camper.
💯👍.
yes black tank hoses have been taken. not far but so badly damaged they are useless.
a punk thing creeps do.
