***Update: The color lasted on my hair for 4 weeks. Of course, it will be different for everybody. I find this method of toning your hair to be very easy and affordable. Also, the color didn't damage my hair which is a plus.

Okay first things first… THIS IS AMAZING 🤩 I have dark Hispanic hair and went to the salon to get a ash brown balayage, didn’t want it too orange or yellow, very subtle and natural. Then left the salon with yellow highlights (not what I asked for and the hairdresser uploaded a picture of my hair on their salon page, with captions “medium blonde balayage”, uh clearly not what I asked for) then went to Sally’s to get it toned since it was very brassy, got t18 Wella and it turned orange brown 🤮. Decided to use this and IT WORKS!!! I finally got the orange and yellow out of my hair and this is seriously magic and saved me so much money. I wonder if I can find a permanent titanium hair color cause it looks amazing. Finally got the ashy brown tone I wanted 😍 it did get a little darker but I know it will wash out, definitely looking forward to using this again!! Same happened to me today! I had virgin hair and asked for caramel balayage and left with yellow blonde highlights! Asked for them to fix it and they used a copper toner on my which left me with ginger highlights!! Definitely going to try this
@@Elaina12387 They did the same to my hair at the salon. I paid almost $200 for a cut and color, asked for caramel balayage and some soft layer, I went home and almost cried. Is it seriously so hard for darker haired girls to get what they asked for? If a titanium or blueish color can get this for our hair why aren’t they doing this at the salon? Like we’re not paying good money for it. I would much prefer a stylist tell me, “Hey, I don’t know how to get your hair to look how you want. Anything else you wanna try.” Then make my hair look nothing like what I asked for and get orange highlights that look super bad with my complexion.
Did you mix conditioner with it like she did in her video? If you did, what brand conditioner did you use?

Depending on the porosity of your hair, this can turn your hair really fast. Less time is better as you can always repeat the process. But leaving it in for too long can turn your hair a muddy color or too dark. Test the timing on a small chunk of hair before doing your whole head. Don't ask me how I know. 😄

If you don’t want to use developer or cause any further damage, you can try Matrix Dark Envy mask on dry hair. Leave it on for 10-20 mins, then shampoo and condition as usual. I had dark orange and red tones when I was first beginning to lighten my hair. I naturally have level 2 hair, so my hair pulls a lot of warmth.

Update watched this video went to the only store that was open and grabbed Garnier Nutrisses Indigo and applied it and watched it until I felt it was good and it came out awesome so many compliments on hair today. Yeah thank you so much.

The color looks beautiful. I just watched a video showing a mix of blue/black hair dye. Add a tablespoon of dye to 3 tablespoons of white shampoo then a teaspoon of water and mix. Apply all over dry hair and wash right away to get rid of orange red tones. People swear by it.

I have never toned my hair but I'm out sode alot and my hair is turning brass and redish brown but I am indigenous mexican so I have straight thick corse hair but it's normally black but ashy black which I like but I don't like how it's brassy now. Looks unhealthy, so I'll try this! It's from my running and being outside a lot!

This definitely works but on yellow pieces it is a tad strong and will turn green. I just use it straight out of the bottle, no diluting with conditioner.
That's because this removes red, so is blue based. If you want to remove yellow, you use purple based.
So this is totally just a thought. I think your natural hair would be beautiful on you, you are so pretty :)

No cause even tho it’s 3 years old I got the exact same color after balayage and want the same results 😍
You need a brush and bowl. Section your into four and work through by section each quarter, apply cross cross brush strokes so it covers all hair and your not left with patches later

I prefer the "before" hair. It has a rose gold to it. The "after" hair is a flat grey.

what i'm wondering is why use the Titanium version when you have Cobalt blue? blue should work better for the orangeness no?
I used Titanium because I wanted an ashy tone. Maybe Cobalt blue can work better, but I haven’t tried it. I might try it in the future 😊

I actually got my hair done at a salon. But maybe in the future I will try to do it at home 😅

If that doesn’t work, I’d say any cream semi permanent color in similar shade would work! Make sure to patch test and mix with conditioner.

I did, but that was after this. This one is still my favorite. However, Truss is better for someone who doesn’t have as much brassiness on their hair and doesn’t want the greyish/ashy tone that this Joico gives you. Hope this helps 💕
