They both good strikers, Martin looks more complete but little bit loose in defending. So he was knocked out.

Coaches are there for a reason... right before the knockout they're literally screaming to stay composed and dont get sloppy... Over extends with unguarded chin and gets clipped. Hats of to #3 for catching the error for the win, amazing fight

This was back in 2020, Tang Kai is the Featherweight champ now. Thanh Le had a good run tho
Le did very well. Good evasive movements, good distance. Good timing. All around, a well-fought match for Le.

you can hear martins coach (sounds like henri hooft) yell " dont get sloppy martin" just before he gets clipped. he underestimated his opponent and paid the price
he was worn down... physically and mentally. he didn't know what to do the whole fight
Been watching Martin fighting for 3-4 years, I realised when he loses it always when constantly dropping his hands when underestimated his range between him and his opponents or lower his hands when he's throwing power shots
Maybe you should be fighting instead of him...

Le out maneuvered & out kicked Nguyen in the 1st 2 rounds then when Martin Nguyen upped his punches his guard was left unprotected. Stunning win for Thanh Le in the 3rd round !
despite le doing a lot better fighting and maneuvering, i can almost guarantee that nguyen would've been handed the W if le didn't win in such decisive fashion. one championship has awful judging haha

Le looked better the whole fight. First two rounds he was really giving Nguyen the hard time with his movement. He gassed out in the third though, but at this point Nguyen looked a bit worn down too - from all the counters of Le.
Nguyen would cut off the cage and have le backing up but do nothing with it. He wasn’t throwing anything that would help find his range in the first round. just walking him down and letting le take the first shot every time

Nguyen got to comfortable throwing his right hook, he was spamming it leaving him wide open. Even a amateur would have seen that opening.

Rematch wud go the same way! That dude Le's movement is just too unorthodox & unpredictable to freaking do anything on offense for Martin Nguyen! Plus his reach is massive for both fighters plus Martin only has his right hand! In this kind of fight with this particular opponent? U need to have strong kicks along with both of ur hands as well! Imo Le is just clearly way better bcuz he has way more versatile strikes in his arsenal 💯💯💯
one thing i hate about combat sport commentators and analyst is that whenever they love a particular fighter, in respective of the situations, they always want talk him or her over the opponents even when it's clear that their favorite is taken a serious beating, they'll still prefer to make references to them as if they are unbeatable.

I mean.. he was turning it up and he tagged Le a couple times pretty good. I counted 7-8 clean shots.

Champ got sloppy moving frwd and caught with a hard crisp shot on the chin, the quick follow up with clean shots were a nice finish for the win.. it ain't over til it's over!

Timing is everything
The problem matching 2 counter-punchers is there is far less action than there is with a fighter with a forward pressure style matched with a counter-puncher 👍🏻
