I'd really like to see a Fate story with Gil as the protagonist... and having meaningful challenges during said story. It'd be cool to see how he reacts to a real obstacle that he knows going into it is perfectly capable of killing him if he doesn't take it seriously.

@@CodeyPro Dude hell no. Do you know about Aristotles also known as Types or ultimate one. They are strongest living organisms of every planet. Primate murder is also a being equal to Aristotle. Even Angra Mainyu as demon called them the biggest destructor of all especially for humans. Archetype earth is also near to them but can be defeated by Gilgamesh in right circumstances. Zeltrech and Type moon are also more powerful than most servant but I think equal to Gilgamesh and Archetype earth. And yeah EA is the reason why Gilgamesh is equal to Zelretch, Crimson moon of Brunsteud and Archetype Earth. Avalon is also a perfect defender against EA. Avalon is exact opposite of EA. That's why Saber can also defeat him in some special circumstances. For example if he doesn't use his gate of Babylon. But Real Aristotles like Ort and Primate Murder can easily defeat him. They also haven't concept of death. It means they can't be killed. There are also weapon equal or more powerful in concept like Black Barrel.
@@CodeyPro well it is not my opinion. It is actually fact from type moon. Things where we can't decide a real victor is Gilgamesh vs Archetype Earth or Gilgamesh vs Zelretch or Gilgamesh vs Type moon. But Aristotles and Primate Murder are definitely more powerful than him.

I'm a long-distance admirer of the Fate franchise, I've never seen Gilgamesh in action, I've never read the Epic and I don't understand a lick of Japanese. But this is absolutely the greatest fucking thing I've ever heard and I don't need any other reason to love it. (Though if anyone well-versed in the series wants to tell me where I should begin, I'd love to hear it. I tried out the first anime, but Gilgamesh doesn't show up til episode 20something and I couldn't wait that long for things to get good.)

Comments here don't really age well don't it? especially with the existence of Grand Servants like Solomon and Gramps... there are servants here that can curb gil in the Fate-universe now. Atm the strongest lore wise is Arjuna Alter iirc.

Archer herc too. Also Void Shiki isn't canonically in the story of FGO iirc as she isn't mentioned at all outside of the event she participated in. Since Shiki as of within the nasuverse can pretty much kill anything and Everything. Also Lore Wise Gramps isn't a grand anymore and he still has the benefits of a Grand Servant he can kill Gil if he wanted to any day.

First Hassan doesn't get any Grand benefits anymore, we've no idea how he fares as a regular servant. Probably still obscenely strong though. The only regular, non-grand panhistory servant I can see outright beating Gil regardless of circumstances is Solomon. Nega-summon is busted.
Gilgamesh is my second favorite archer next to Emiya. ((Edit)) if you are wondering why. A. Gilgamesh seems to be just a bit over powered in my opinion hell in the extra universe he was sent to the dark side of the moon cell! And B. I'm a mix of different servants personalities one of them being Gilgamesh. And bonus C. I also found him to be a little bit too over confident. I like Emiya because A. Reality marble, B. His daggers Bakaya and Konshu, and C. HAVE YOU SEEN HIM IN OATH UNDER SNOW!?!
Gilgamesh himself is nothing special, it's the weapons that he has that make him the man he is. Ea is a crystallization of Enki, as Fate tends to emphasize, but acts like Enlil by splitting the Earth and Heavens, and, since Fate's Mystery system is a little wonky, Gilgamesh's Mystery as the First Epic tends to give him more power than he ought to have in general. In terms of his use, he's great when he has range and can shoot weapons, but that's his thing. If you get close, you have a much higher chance to defeat him than if you're at a range, as per how the Archer Class works. Gilgamesh is quite literally the definition of arrogance to the point that he has the body of a Divine Spirit (Gilgamesh was created by the gods to have a perfect body), he can see alternate timelines thanks to Enki (Sha Inqba Imuru), and he can basically use every weapon that is in his treasury. Gilgamesh is broken if you do the one thing in his Epic that he didn't really do a lot of: actually fight him up-close.
There's really nothing to watch timeline wise it's a free game after the Fate, Rin, and Heavens feel route. You could play hollow ataraxia or watch Fate/Zero if you haven't yet. Other than that all we have is what? Apocrypha and extra last encore the adaptations aren't that great. I recommend you stem out if you haven't already watch kara no kyoukai in release date order and tsukihime because concepts from stay night stem from there and you'll have some jaw drops when you piece them together
ayasaki kazuma .... Fairly sure the wind from Ea is referring to the actual lines described in Enuma Elish where Marduk killed Tiamat by blowing fierce wind into her belly and blowing her up. Tiamat's body was used to build the heavens and the world. So that's where Ea (the weapon in Fate) is anti world comes from.

Even Angra Mainyu as demon called them the biggest destructor of all especially for humans. Archetype earth is also near to them but can be defeated by Gilgamesh in right circumstances. Zeltrech and Type moon are also more powerful than most servant but I think equal to Gilgamesh and Archetype earth. And yeah EA is the reason why Gilgamesh is equal to Zelretch, Crimson moon of Brunsteud and Archetype Earth. Avalon is also a perfect defender against EA. Avalon is exact opposite of EA. That's why Saber can also defeat him in some special circumstances. For example if he doesn't use his gate of Babylon. But Real Aristotles like Ort and Primate Murder can easily defeat him. They also haven't concept of death. It means they can't be killed. There are also weapon equal or more powerful in concept like Black Barrel.

I'm a long-distance admirer of the Fate franchise, I've never seen Gilgamesh in action, I've never read the Epic and I don't understand a lick of Japanese. But this is absolutely the greatest fucking thing I've ever heard and I don't need any other reason to love it.
(Though if anyone well-versed in the series wants to tell me where I should begin, I'd love to hear it. I tried out the first anime, but Gilgamesh doesn't show up til episode 20something and I couldn't wait that long for things to get good.)

Gilgamesh seems to be just a bit over powered in my opinion hell in the extra universe he was sent to the dark side of the moon cell! And B. I'm a mix of different servants personalities one of them being Gilgamesh. And bonus C. I also found him to be a little bit too over confident. I like Emiya because A. Reality marble, B. His daggers Bakaya and Konshu, and C. HAVE YOU SEEN HIM IN OATH UNDER SNOW!?!

Ea is a crystallization of Enki, as Fate tends to emphasize, but acts like Enlil by splitting the Earth and Heavens, and, since Fate's Mystery system is a little wonky, Gilgamesh's Mystery as the First Epic tends to give him more power than he ought to have in general. In terms of his use, he's great when he has range and can shoot weapons, but that's his thing. If you get close, you have a much higher chance to defeat him than if you're at a range, as per how the Archer Class works.
Gilgamesh is quite literally the definition of arrogance to the point that he has the body of a Divine Spirit (Gilgamesh was created by the gods to have a perfect body), he can see alternate timelines thanks to Enki (Sha Inqba Imuru), and he can basically use every weapon that is in his treasury.
Gilgamesh is broken if you do the one thing in his Epic that he didn't really do a lot of: actually fight him up-close.

There's really nothing to watch timeline wise it's a free game after the Fate, Rin, and Heavens feel route. You could play hollow ataraxia or watch Fate/Zero if you haven't yet. Other than that all we have is what? Apocrypha and extra last encore the adaptations aren't that great. I recommend you stem out if you haven't already watch kara no kyoukai in release date order and tsukihime because concepts from stay night stem from there and you'll have some jaw drops when you piece them together

ayasaki kazuma .... Fairly sure the wind from Ea is referring to the actual lines described in Enuma Elish where Marduk killed Tiamat by blowing fierce wind into her belly and blowing her up. Tiamat's body was used to build the heavens and the world. So that's where Ea (the weapon in Fate) is anti world comes from.
