Nice vid once again! Got a question tho, what pound test is the braid on top your reel? And is it a Daiwa BG5000 ? And what pound test would you use for your leader line ? Mahalo
Yes its a Daiwa BG 5000 with 50Ibs Braided line with 30Ibs test Mono. You can run 30Ibs Braided also with smaller mono leader or bigger as long as you set your drag right. I'd go by feel and start with smaller line first and then work your way up to larger size if need be. Don't want to go to big the fish might see the line.
The PDL is a fantastic kayak but its just heavy for one person to move around especially in soft sands. Its not impossible but id rather use the Hobie if I'm by myself since its a lighter kayak. Right now I'm going to lighten the PDL and will probably take it out when I go out with my friend. The both of us carrying the PDL should be easy. So soon I'll be taking out the PDL.

Yozuri has a new lure that is the direct competitor to the sp minnow. Called "Hydro Minnow LC". Check it out if you have any interest. I have a couple, but only tested them in pool so far. Has much better stock hooks. I have had a lot of success on the mag minnow 5". Sometimes they are just more interested in a shorter fatter profile than the sp minnow, its seems. You try flat fall slow jigs yet?

Oh the Hydro looks really good I'm going to try it out ASAP! tried the flat fall jigs but didn't really use it enough, next round.
