    I was a machinist. I made airplane parts for four years mostly out of aluminum. Then got a job with the Navy repair facility. Loved the work. I never got over being fascinated with cutting metal. There's a strategy to cutting metal to really tight tolerances. When you pull it off, you have a real sense of accomplishment.
