    A bit dissapointed as I've seen the Korean version and was happy it got bigger then previous generation, especially in the back.

      Agree - this is pathetic. Don't europeans need a trunk?
      btw. US has the normal version too, probably only for EU it's downgraded...

    Was about to buy a car, the only thing I disliked in previous version was its size and I was happy to know that new Kia will be longer. Now I am greatly disappointed by shortened version((

    Don't like this shortened version, was 50/50 for longer version versus new Hyundai Tucson Ultimate or Kona N but now it is almost 100% Tucson or Kona N. I have current generation Sportage 4 just now and I prefer the shape of that. Goodbye Kia, hello Hyundai!

      Same here! Waited so long for the new version and to see this piece of crap. They missed the key element in the front - the grille is different, the elements under the grille are different, on the backside they missed the same elements which lay under the trunk door. Completely dissapointed.

      Me too that new Sportage looks amazing especially in green,I think this car is plenty big enough in European version,torn between this and the ev6 for next car, I have a 2019 Sportage in infra red and it's great lots of room,economical nice high up driving position an great for kids, camping an putting mountain bike inside ,so this one is slightly bigger so should be great, definitely would get this green one 💚👌👌👍

    Waited months to see this, but I'm dissapointed. :(
    I really liked the Korean version but this European Sportage looks tiny. I don't understand why they made a separate version. I hope they consider also selling the normal one here, it would me on the top of my list to check and possibly buy...

    • @kimarefall
      @kimarefall 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty sure, because Kia have the bigger one here already, the Sorento. So they don't compete against each other. This way they have all sizes offered in Europe.

    • @gem2963
      @gem2963 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And I wish they would offer the more compact version here in the states. Parking in The inner city is a nightmare with so many cars on the road. I also think the USA version doesn’t come with the rotary shift dial unless you go with the hybrid. The regular shifter looks horrible and out of place inside a cabin with so much tech.

  • @saklak
    @saklak 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Agree with the others. Korean version looks good. This one is small, looks unfinished. why do they choose to do that for european market ?

    • @dinohermann1887
      @dinohermann1887 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because competition with the Sorento and many roads in Europe are more narrow than in the US, for example. But it's not a deal breaker for me, because this gen Sportage will still be more spacious on the inside than the previous model!

    It is a ridiculous policy from KIA to bring shorter whellbase cars in Europe, like we cannot find 15 cm more space to park the car... This shorter version totally eliminates the extra space the back passengers need especially for people above 180 cm. Big disappointment
