I found this song in 2018 when my mother was very sick with cancer. It still makes me think of her and cry whenever I hear it. I sure miss her😢

How can this beautiful young 16 years old sing with such emotion . What an amazing voice . I listen to her daily . Such a talent
“Shine a blinding light for you and me for us to be..” just sent your version of this to my mum and granny for them both to listen to, my mum is staying with my granny who only has a couple of days left to live after a year long battle with cancer. Its easy to call this a love song but with the English lyrics, it takes on a whole other meaning. Thank you for playing and singing this. Absolutely breathtaking voice.

This cover helped me so much at the funeral of my dad who died by cancer. It gives me so good feelings, this version of the "classic" song cause your voice is something special...
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. By dad passed away with cancer when I was 7, and music was literally my saviour from an experience that always stays with you. I hope my music helps in some small way for you too.
Hope It did, as I said, especially this one... ;-) Yes, cancer is **** shit - in his case it ended pretty fast, after he got his first chemotherapy (just one week after that) so by luck he doesn't have to go trough the whole thing (and the week was horribly). So I am some kind of thankful for how quickly it ended - and for some songs which helped - I don't like this heavy, big versions played by a whole Orchestra... and your beginning and voice.. So your interpretation was quite perfect. Again, thank you for setting it online - and your response. :)

They played this at my mom's funeral a month ago. She died from covid.
I was strong up until that point, even gave my eulogy without crying. But when this played and she sang "time to say goodbye" I swear it absolutely broke me. I fell to my knees in the pew and couldn't stop crying, just looking at my mom's covered coffin. This wasn't a bad thing though, in this moment I let out a lot that I had been repressing for the week leading up to the funeral.

I'm so sorry. My mother died during Covis and I wasn't able to say goodbye. This is definitely a cathartic song especially the way Hope sings it. Life is so sad but so very beautiful too.

When I was younger I didn't appreciate art that much. I hated reading, I couldn't understand how photography could be interesting and I found opera and classic music very boring.
Yet there was this one video on my mum's old laptop... one with a fountain and this amazing song. My mum showed it to me a couple of times, but I didn't show interest. Then I watched it on my own and was completely blown away by its' beauty.
Next time we went to a classic music concert, I actually enjoyed it.
Years passed and I still had this song in the back of my head. I couldn't remember the lyrics so I didn't try finding it. I found it by accident when watching a video with the best most popular music of all time. I immediately put the title in the search bar and lo and behold, there it is.
I love this song. This level of beauty and grace is hard to match. In my opinion, you did it quite well. Congratulations!

I first heard this version ( by far the best ) when " A Place to Call Home" was airing its Final Season 6 in Australia. The acoustic's are brilliant. Oh, what a wonderful girl. What a wonderful voice. It takes me back to that place every time. This is my forever song. I want this to be played at that special time of my life, a sad one, but one to be remembered by all who will be there.

Not long after we found out my mom had lung cancer, one of my sisters requested my daughter sing this at my mom's celebration of life. She did and thank you for your amazing voice to help her.
