Why would you do this? What advantages?
Deleted mine last night. Improved an idle surge I had. Also found a split in the large pair valve hose that I didn't know was there. Used a 1-1/4" pvc pipe cap for the intake hose blocker which measures 2" od on the cap...perfect fit. Added the 10k resistor and no codes. If ya have a pile of resistors laying around the color code for 10k is Brown Black Orange. Exhaust smells like its burning cleaner.

You got the pair and the egr valves backwards. The egr valve injects the dirty exhaust into the intake, hence why that long tube is black. Also the pair injects fresh air into the exhaust and is why the big rubber line goes from the intake to that surge box then the hard line then the pair valve
Just got the EGR kit, about to install it today. I like the picture show at the end of the video. That truck looks nice, I especially like the moon roof.

Ty mate, just replaced a knock sensor to get rid of a check engine for 24 hours then it started throwing a 71 so egr malfuntion. Might do this shit cheers

Just put a ball bearing in the vacuum line of the EGR that will make it stop working too
The mid size hardline you plugged is for the power steering.

So where does the resistor actually go , the delete kit shows a gray plug. One guy says green. Another says temp. sensor.... You say two different places, either works? Wish someone would show and confirm for the 3.0. Also my engine does rev down when turning the steering wheel and stalled at least once, I will be hooking my power steering lines back up.
Try no resistor for now

Do you know if I can clean the MAF sensor in that v6 3.0? If so how cause I took off the part of the air cleaner where it’s located and I can’t see the MAF sensor
I believe its a few inches to the left of his finger at 3:40 . I didn't have luck just getting the sensor so I took the whole assembly off and sprayed cleaner at the only sensor I saw. Let it dry completely and that should help

how do you get the damn hose off the goes to PAIR? It's hidden underneath plenum and stubbornly hanging on with a spring clamp.

You can get rid of the whole hardline setup and actually cut the metal pipe for coolant in the rear and run it straight around to the front of engine at water pump intake! Then just run injection hoses for your regulartor! I literally have a huge box of crap that I pulled out of the engine bay! Plus I put cold air and 4 hole injectors and I Cruze up hills that I used to have to shift to 3rd in 5th now!

Is this right?: (Whatever exhaust gas recirculation is not used or pushed out of the exhaust goes back into the motor and it clogs up your injectors the EGR valve exhaust gas recirculation unit is what pushes the exhaust gases out of the unit out of the vehicle.) I cope and pasted that from my conversation with him.
@@NuttyNu how is exhaust gas gonna clog up injectors? Is that even a thing? Just looking for more opinions, I have wanted to do the egr delete for a couple years I don’t see the point in it.
@@bloodOntheStep the egr valve lowers combustion temperatures to make more power with less fuel. High combustion temperatures leaves a lot of soot.

hello I did the egr delete and the engine runs smoother and I feel the truck running more agile as if I was running with a large load on the truck before egr delete, but now man what a difference, but the only complaint is that I see the truck running with ooor gas mileage. Did you Get the same issue low gas mileage after the egr delete?

If you run the 3.0, I wouldnt do this mod. The ERG makes the engine run less hot, not by a huge amount but over 100k-200k miles that temperature adds up to wear n tear. On an engine thats notorious for bad head too

I’ve had mine off for years and all the hard lines under the plenum and I cut the “U” in the heater coolant line and brought it right down to inlet/outlet at the front of the engine. Plus evap canister gone cause I put all -6an fuel lines with a cleanable filter I put on the out l side of the passenger frame rail! And I put in bigger injectors and I bet you I gained over a hundred whp! Plus completely redid the MFV to open early. Not recommended it took me a year to get that right and a lot of tinkering! But my rig is as fast if not faster than my 96’ 3.4l by a good bit and I had that all super up too! And man you could use some bigger wires! Bigger wire means less resistance which is bigger spark which equals hotter burn! My engine bay is a lot emptier than yours but what a difference this makes to your rig! You can get rid of the entire hardline setup. Also grab the full silicone hose kit from Amazon it’s a good deal!

I have the same engine and I'm getting a code 24 and code 31...rough idle, rich running, hesitation sometimes when i press on the gas pedal, check engine light on, and occasional backfire when first starting (cold). The truck came with an EGR delete set up, as well as a cold air intake simplification mod when I bought it. If you (or anyone) could offer some guidance, I am by myself and really need help. Thanks

Great mod, waiting on my delete kit too haha. I see you still respond to people on here, by any chance do you have any documentation or any way to know the order of the vacuum lines on the side of the plenum? Been over hualing the engine and I noticed today that my labels have fallen off. Kinda lost on where a couple lines go, especially the two that are attached to the bottom of the power steering solenoid. I'm having the hardest time trying to find some diagrams or even a picture for the 3vze. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The advice he gives you in the comment is wrong. You definitely need to hook up the correct vacuum lines . There is a diagram on second generation mafia on Facebook

Hello I did the same thing as you did with the egr but when I turn it on my truck shakes and and smells like gas when we turn it on. It also accelerate like crazy without even pushing the gas

You will not pass smog, no performance loss or fains
Some one needs to show the removal by hand step by step instead of showing this after the work has been done….
Pointing and showing after the fact might not show the areas which need to be done …A bright light would help the work to be seen!!

no performance, just makes it easier for your engine bay to do things, the EGR is useless and only for emission purpose

@@Gabrielmata24 $180, it's true...I've just looked it up in Oreillys here in southern Cali. Good thing I god a shiny almost new one from a junk yard last year. It also came with a new EGR temperature sensor with wire, which is $215. I guess after a $400 expense the guy still couldn't pass smog in southern Cali & he just junked it. Are you concerned that you may not pass the visual inspection part of the smog test? Or do you simply smog it by other methods...if you know what I mean.

Removing the EGR cooler is no joke. Spent a small fortune buying specialized tools. In retro, would have been better to take it to a mech and see if the mech will remove - clean the darn thing Myself, and have mech put it back together- to save $/time. Good vid, brother.

Deleting emission stuff is illegal. ARe you sure, dude? YOu don't have to make it too obvious by taking out the parts. You can 'plug n play' without disabling the parts. That is what TIG welders are for. 🤣🤣
There is no federal law barring people from doing these modifications. If you live out West your truck will not pass smog tests and resale will be FUBAR, but in the midwest for example you can do whatever the hell you want.
